• We hired BangBang Family to create a series of commercials for our social media and website. These videos were meant to showcase our portfolio, featuring both our past projects and our latest collections.

We presented team our mood board and target audiences. After processing this information, they provided us with creative ideas, references and a detailed shooting plan. We needed to shoot four different blocks within a short time frame, and they proposed great shooting locations, handled hair and makeup and took care of all organizational aspects.

MacPaw was turning 10 in 2018 and we were looking for a company to tell the story of MacPaw in an unboring way.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted all users and employees of MacPaw to know the story of the company. We wanted real employees to tell the story. We expected everyone to get excited not only about amazing apps by MacPaw but by its story and people.

We had a number of meetings where BangBang introduced their creative ideas. It was a no brainer to start working with them.

I was the main contact from MacPaw and BangBang provided me with all the experts I might need for the video shooting.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Surprisingly, the video generated sales though we didn't expect it to. The primary aim of the video was to work on brand awareness, not on sales. It's great that video motivated customers to buy apps by MacPaw after watching the video.

The communication was fast and smooth even despite my travels at that time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed with the creativity of the ideas the team suggested. They persuaded me to shoot in a shooting studio, not in the office. I never regretted that decision.

We managed to do the impossible thing — created the video within a week. I guess there is nothing impossible for this team!

We expected the increase of brand awareness and as a result the increase if new users of product.

How did you select this vendor?

I made a list of several companies providing video production services. I've checked the portfolios and narrowed the list to 3 vendors. I've sent the brief that contained project description, goals and target audience. We've set meetings with vendors where they presented their ideas of how the project can be implemented. BangBang was the team with the most appealing and creative ideas that resonated with our product.

We've had several meetings to choose the right idea for the project and decide on the details of implementation. BangBang worked closely with our team in terms of script and story board development. We had an opportunity to give feedback, approve suggestions at each stage of pre-production. We also were aware of the timing and were sure that each step is made on time and according to schedule. The setting for video shooting was provided by the vendor from scratch (interior, costumes, decorations etc.). The end project is set of one longer video, with separate scenes and characters, and 10 small videos that tell a story of each character from a longer version. The quality of picture is amazing, it looks like professional TV series.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

The communication was regular and very productive. BangBang made sure each important step is discussed and approved with us. They cared about the product image and were very attentive to details. On a post-production stage we had a chance to see different options of color, sound and visual effects to choose the best one. BangBang suggested to make presentation for the team so that we had different feedbacks and could finalize the project considering each and every feedback that could have an impact.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After several months of campaign with the use of the videos produced by BangBang, we've noticed great results in terms of brand awareness. The brand lift was 9% which is more than average for the industry. And the brand awareness increased by 4 percent in our market. We've also received positive feedback from those who saw the video. It certainly created positive brand image for our product.

The workflow was very clear. We were aware of each stage of preparation and production and had deadlines for each step of the project implementation. We were informed in advance if any changes occurred and had an opportunity to influence the process, making our suggestions on workflow and schedules.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive is BangBang's professionalism and how dedicated they are to what they do. They really went the extra mile to implement our project and make it extraordinary. Their team is chock-full of genius ideas. And they never stop improving so that the final video was perfect.

There is no limit for perfection, of course, however we haven't noticed anything that desperately needs improvement. The process of video creation always takes time and efforts, but the quality is worth it and we were aware of the fact that high quality product can't be produced in a week or two.

After that, they created a storyboard and we discussed options for actors, studio, makeup, costumes, and production process. We had a full filming day, in which we participated. The crew was over 20 super professional people.

After filming, we had a few rounds of feedback. The entire process seemed so easy and organized.

We received the finished videos after just one month and used them for our pre-order campaign and surrounding giveaway activities. They reached 51,000 views in total and everyone loved them.

We needed a video of the collection that would better convey the concept and mood of the collection. So a lookbook can tell a thousand words, while a video can tell a million words. We have been successfully cooperating with BangBang family for several years and have made many videos that completely satisfied us.

We needed to announce and strengthen interest in the collection.

Our colleagues previously worked with this company, and recommended it as the best in terms of the ratio of style and quality of work. An important point was their pricing; it was three times less than usual in Paris. We trusted them and did not regret it.

After discussing the concept of the collection, reviewing my mudboards, the guys wrote short scripts and picked up references. In their feedback, I saw an understanding of me and the collection. Next, we discussed the details and location of the shooting, also the guys took over the casting.
