The task was to create a web shop for one market, according to predetermined rules of brand design. Then the web shop had to be connected with the company's external ERP solution, with delivery services, various payment methods, etc. The development included several specific solutions related to the Loyalty Program, gifts with purchases, etc. 

Then this finished solution for one market had to be transferred to another two markets, and each required additional adjustments (language, currency, logistics, payment methods...).

• We got 3 new platforms for online sales and already in the first months we increased sales, the number of new customers and customer satisfaction.

We hired Bamboo Lab to develop custom solution as per our requirements, so we can have a tool to track the submissions of documents from our clients, generate reports and communicate with clients trough that custom app.

How did you select Bamboo Lab and what were the deciding factors?

We have selected Bamboo Lab, as Boris Raus was very supportive during the project arrangement and he had answered all our questions in a understanding and grounded manner, which is necessary attitude when dealing with clients.

We have sent the requirements for our project and they designed and developed solution as we required. When making project of this scale, there is few things that can’t be requested in advance, and they are agreed as the project progresses, and Bamboo Lab team was very supportive during the process and they suggested what would be the best to include in the design and options.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Besides the CEO Boris Raus, who was present at the initial stage of starting project and at the end stage of the project, we have worked with Luka – designer and Vedran – developer. I’m sure that there were other people working as well in the background, but there is no need for us to know that, the important thing was that the project was delivered.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was a success for us, as we have received what we requested and feedback from our clients and our team was great. We significantly reduced our workload and since the design was custom made with specific requirement, our clients also managed to reduce workload from their end.

We had nice collaboration with Bamboo lab team, and they have provided us with updates and requests as the project progressed. Also we have attended few meetings in person as well, which lead to better understanding each other, which is great thing to accomplish when accountants and developers collaborate together.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

For us, personally, greatest advantage was that the Bamboo Lab team was normal in collaboration with u. Everything was sorted without any pressure.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There is no specific areas of improvement that we would point out, as we all are working constantly in improving ourselves in our lives, and each experience contributes towards that. I’m sure that Bamboo Lab and ourselves learned a lot from this experience and improved certain areas of our work.

We wanted to increase the top-of-mind awareness and generate engagement of the youth segment with our A1 brand, as well as to promote our prepaid and digital services to the selected target.

Bamboo Lab reached A1 earlier, proactively, with new ideas for building an online presence on social media channels and digital activities in general. We ask them to meet in person in order to comment on it and we were very satisfied with their effort and cooperation. We sent them, along with the other agencies, the project brief. Their proposal was the best fit for the project, so we started the cooperation.

After we selected Bamboo Lab for the project, there were many calls and meetings where we discussed A1's goals and how to keep the activities in-line with our brand. Bamboo Lab's team developed an understanding of our objectives, as well as sensibility toward our brand and tactics that work for us.

During this process, Bamboo Lab developed a strategy of digital activation for the project, from ideation to execution, including advertising plan, production plan, creative, etc.

I've worked closely with the Head of marketing and Project manager. They were managing the rest of the operative team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We overachieved the goals we set for the project. The project was also submitted for an advertising award.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager and head of marketing were easy to communicate with and gave us frequent updates. They were promptly reacting to every new challenge that emerged, they were adjustable and took care of the project timeline very carefully. The impression is that the team was very hard-working and dutiful.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed with how they're informed about all the new trends and keep their eyes on the best practices and cases worldwide. Also, we were more than satisfied with how they managed the project timeline and how devoted they were to the project.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We would love to see more creative ideas from Bamboo Lab, that reach beyond our existing scope of work, but we are aware that we only worked on specific projects and also that our deadlines are always tight.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project was successfully completed in the given deadline and was graded excellent from our client. From the launch until the end of the event there were no issues whatsoever on the website. All processes for the visitors of the website went smooth and successful.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Every team (envy and Bamboolab) had a project manager in charge of communication and information flow + in charge of managing their internal team. The cooperation was very effective.

Their willingness to react quickly, respect deadlines, and produce projects as imagined by the client impressed us.

After meticulously searching for a company with a vision and a human touch to understand some of the intricacies, I found Bamboo to be one of the best in the business for web development, but also with a great ethos and work ethic. A deadly combination that you want to find in an IT company.

They created, designed, proofread and developed a custom CMS for a couple of websites we worked together on. They managed a project beautifully with little to none input from us, other the general directions and guidance needed.

What was the team composition?

From my end, I was managing most of the relations with some help from other parts in my company. From Bamboo part most management was done by director Boris, but as I believe there is a big team behind him to offer support with years of experience.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project has elevated the influence and general appearance towards the NGO as well as ushered in some digital and design changes for our own logo and visual appeal. Only good things have come from this cooperation.

Project management was great and we had a great sense of security to have it all in capable hands of Bamboo team.

The speed and quality of their work. With really tight timeframes they turned around great-looking project with really fresh design elements.

There can always be, but not on their part only to give them a bigger budget and more time next time to make the new project 10 times better.

owner and founder of what was supposed to be a social network for artists and art lovers. It is now questionable if the network will ever go online.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I knew the CEO from university days, I therefore expected honest and straight forward communication. When they told me that they can take up the project, I just trusted that they know what they are doing.

Describe the project in detail.

Social network for artists and art lovers. Aimed not only to painters and sculptors, but also to architects, designers etc.. I don't have an IT background and I was told at the first meeting that the idea they function on is to take care of all the technical stuff. Creating the design and the mockups went well.

The website was done quickly. But then I had no information about the progress the app development in 9 months. Upon asking, I was just told that they will be done soon.

When I was delivered a product I can check it didn't fir the mockups. Furthermore, once the android app was "finished", they new android version came around the app didn't work anymore.

Then they suggested we make a PWA instead of an app. They told me that the PWA will be ready in 4 weeks. I came to a meeting which was 6 weeks after the promise, they had nothing to show me because they were prioritising other clients.

What was the team composition?

The idea was that I only speak to one person, which happen to be the CEO. When mistakes were made and it was clear that they were made because the programmer doesn't understand GDPR nor the goals of the project I pushed for talking directly to the programmer. Things got better after that.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I decided to break up my contract with them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Bad. My emails weren't answered and communicating the mistakes to the programmer worked only after I met him in person and I got to hear his opinions and interpretations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They have such bad business practices despite their good reputation. Don't take tasks you have no experience in. Communicate your problems.

We chose them based on their portfolio and similar previous experiences. They also offered an in-house design team and hosting and maintenance services.

The project was divided into three phases. First, they analyzed our needs and defined our challenges and goals. Then we began the design phase. After approving the wireframes, they built mockups of each page and started development. Finally, they scheduled a period for testing functionalities.

The project team included five people: a project manager, a designer, two developers, and a tester. We also consulted with a security expert before we went live.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our conference room rentals increased by 50% and that all our offices are full, with 15 additional startups on the waitlist. Our custom CMS is amazingly simple, despite having a lot of heavy features.

Their project management was amazing. They ran every phase through Asana, with additional bug fixes through Airtable, and they were never late.
