Overcode was brought in specifically to bridge the gap between our backend AI capabilities and a world class user interface. While our other engineering partners focused on the plumbing and SOC 2 interface, Overcode owned the visual identity and front end interaction model. They designed our core AI overlay, the primary product interface, and our marketing site. Their key delivery was a robust React based design system that ensured our UI remained consistent even as we scaled rapidly across different regulated industries.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most tangible result was the speed of our high fidelity polish right out of the gate. Within the first few months, we had a sophisticated prototype that directly helped us close early enterprise pilots in the health care and financial sectors. Our user churn related to on boarding confusion dropped significantly once their new UX flow was implemented. We didn't just get a website we got a cohesive brand language that made a complex AI tool feel simple and secure.

They are very startup native. We didn't get bogged down in endless discovery phases, they started producing high quality wireframes almost immediately. Communication was handled through Slack and Figma, which allowed for real time feedback loops. They were highly disciplined with their sprints, which was crucial since we had other dev teams relying on their design specs to keep moving.

They had a rare ability to translate abstract AI concepts into clean, usable interfaces. Many agencies can make a site look modern, but Overcode understands the actual utility of a product. They functioned like an extension of our founding team and weren't afraid to push back on my ideas If they felt a different UX path would better serve the user. That level of intellectual honesty is exactly what a founder needs in a design partner.

The process was very smooth overall. Early on, we had to spend some time aligning on the specific technical constraints of an AI overlay versus a standard Web app, but they bridged that gap quickly. I'd love to see them continue to document their design to code handover processes as they scale.

The app includes OCR scanning, a fully functional social feed, a coupon listings section with direct links, and a shared calendar that nurses can use with friends and family. They also built a website that aligns perfectly with the app’s features and branding.

The nursing app was successfully published to the major app stores, and we received a fully functional website that works seamlessly with the app.

We’ve been working together on the company website development for our WordPress design and development agency. We desperately needed web development team to build the website we had in Figma so we could have something to show to our new clients and existing partners. We didn’t have that kind of skill set in our teams, so we needed outside assistance.

We are still in the process of launching the new website version, we anticipate the website with blog and industry expertise pages will go live in Q4 2023. However, it is already clear from our internal testing that the outcome will be superb - the result compared to our current platform is in a different world in case of performance and user feedback.

First, they delivered UI/UX designs (with responsive versions and components library), then they developed them using React.js and Next.js and helped to set up the servers on Vercel.

Without Overcode, we wouldn’t be able to move as quickly as we’ve been able to now. They created an MVP of our web application in just 3 months in a very high-quality process, that we couldn’t have done otherwise in this time frame. We have maintained a productive partnership with Overcode since then and plan to work on more products for our company in the future.

It needed to be secure, performant, and reliable. The web app also includes authentication functionality, data visualization dashboards, many complex forms, popups, billing, and push notifications. 

Overcode optimized the product for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices and covered the codebase with unit tests! The application is hosted and operated on AWS. We also enhance the application’s algorithms with AI & ML.

We started our partnership with a frontend development using React.js. We had a big amounts of designs(more than 300 screens) and it was a hard task to develop them all in a scalable and reusable way. 

Later Overcode helped us to integrate the UI codebase into the business logic that used Redux for state management. Their team also helped us to develop Grafana plugin for our complex backend that used Python and Node.js, AWS and Firebase. We also had a lot of API integrations with different services like Slack, Asana, Jira, etc.

Our startup was acquired by New Relic company! Overcode hit all of our milestones and fit into our internal deadlines. All expectations for product functionality have been met and we continued working with them on ongoing maintenance and adding new features.
