I'm the COO of an edtech company. We develop a SaaS platform which is used by schools and companies to create content, share it with their students and follow their acquisition of skills. This is called an Learning Management System (LMS).

The scope of Azati's mission was to help us develop the React application following the guidelines of our product owner and the screens created by our UX designer. They also contributed to React package that we created for our own needs. Finally, one of their developers helped us set up end-to-end tests and one of the team member was in charge of manually testing the developments and creating bug tickets.

It varied during the project but an average of 6 people worked with us. They were mainly front-end developers, one of them was a QA tester.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Azati's team helped us deliver on time this piece of software. Their code is of great quality and their developers are of good advice.

The team took part efficiently in the daily stand-up meeting that we had. They were efficiently commenting the tickets that were assigned to them and pro-actively took new ones if they were running out of tasks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I liked the relationship I had with them and with their manager, Alex, with who I could discuss about a lot of things (our needs, the profiles of the developers, the way they could improve, etc...). He was really listening to us. Azati's team also easily accepted the processes that we progressively setup, more specifically the changes that occurred in the setup of the project and the CI/CD.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes we've seen regression appear. Perhaps could the developers have tested more thoroughly the application manually before submitting PRs, but the application was also really complex and it wasn't easy to consider all the impacts of a single change.

We engaged Azati Software on our first project to provide quality assurance services for the mobile application that we were creating. The second time we turned to Azati for backend and frontend refactoring and UX/UI redesign of our outdated website.

We chose Azati based on their vast expertise, reasonable price, and the ability to integrate with our current development team following agile principles. Their key differentiators were the quality of their talent and their flexibility in providing resources for both mid-term and near-term projects.

During the first project Azati team responsibilities included: Manual and Automated testing (using JavaScript tech stack). Management of the automation team, preparation of test reports, creation of a test strategy. They managed day to day testing activities, assisted us with establishing the QAA process. For our website refactoring they worked with Symfony and Vue for the web part, and Figma for UX/UI Design. Together we were able to improve the website, optimize the code, update some legacy versions of frameworks, and speed it up significantly.

In the sum of both projects, we were able to work with 4 Quality Assurance Engineers and one high-skilled Full-Stack developer provided by Azati.

We've released all solutions of the finest quality and free of errors.The team has done an amazing job. We worked with a really dedicated team which is always thinking about providing high-quality services. Their services sped up our process and completed the project in a quarter of the time.

The workflow was quite good. We had frequent updates about progress and timelines from the team. Team was open to schedule calls when it was needed. We were able to communicate very effectively through Zoom/Slack/etc. They have almost never missed a deadline and have been quite accurate in financial projections. So we are fully satisfied to work with these guys.

The qualifications of the Azati team and the degree of their involvement in the project set them apart. They’re proactive and the communication is brilliant.They provided great services and seemed to have our best interest in mind while working with us.

We all have room to grow, but I can’t think of any specific area for improvement. Anytime we encounter a challenge, we find a solution, which I expected from a team. If you need a dedicated team or even only one developer for your needs i would like to fully recommend their services

We were looking for a company with extensive experience in UI design, web design and web development. Azati has been recommended by a business associate and after a great initial conversation we started the project in several development modules.

We provided Azati with a rough specification and function definition as well as access to the website which should be replaced by the new development. Azati created different design options for our selection and also provided additional ideas for the user interaction. They implemented the web site and also extended underlying APIs when necessary.

The Azati team shows great professionalism and experience. Project and budget planning was done spot on, deadlines were kept. A change in the project schedule was caused by incidents on our side and Azati was adjusting well and flexible to it. The deliveries so far are to our full expectations.

A well working collaboration and communication between Azatis team and our own developers was established. Constant direct communication (chat, Skype, Zoom, Google Meet) took place as well as weekly general status and budget updates (using industry standard tools). If required on call meetings could be scheduled very short term. Azati reacted agile on change requests or minor scope changes while monitoring and reporting the budget well.

Azati shows great experience, knowledge and professionalism. Especially the design team is very dedicated and came up with ideas and potential future usage suggestions we have not thought about yet. The overall project management and execution was done excellently.

Not at the moment. We are well satisfied with their work and are planning to include Azati Software in future development and operation.

I now have a clear understanding of what to do with my startup. Azati Software has done an amazing job in increasing the average page load speed so it’s now five times faster than before. They also helped me repair the broken middleware for the site.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is efficient and effective. It takes them less than 24 hours to discuss a single task and get the job done. They don't waste time talking about fixes, resolutions, and options. By the time we have our next conversation, the options are not only presented to me, they're either already implemented or ready to be implemented based on my decision. 

We speak mainly via Skype, including several teleconferencing sessions. Their response time is exceptionally good. I’m very impressed.

I am the co-founder of HOPNBR, a data-driven platform that gives merchants or venues in the hospitality industry a way to attract more clientele and process their payments. It also allows customers the opportunity to interact with other customers through the application.

We contracted with Azati to design and build our platform’s mobile and web applications.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Azati is responsible for all technical aspects of the enterprise. In addition to the web portal, they have designed and developed our application for Android and iOS using React Native. The app includes payment processing capabilities so that merchants can work faster and track their sales performance in real time. Customers can order and pay bills instantly and interact with other customers.

What is the team composition?

Their team consists of six people, including iOS and Android developers, designers, and a business analyst that acts as a project manager.

How did you come to work with Azati?

Before working with Azati, I collaborated with some part-time developers, but I decided that if I wanted to take this to the next level, I needed a group of professionals. A friend recommended Azati after having a successful project with them. I found positive online reviews of their work, and I had a chance to speak with the owner and with the business analyst that is currently assigned to this project. They appeared to be quite experienced, and I had a good feeling about selecting them.

We’ve spent more than $100,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in February 2018, and the bulk of the development work was completed by July, about five months later. By that time, we had a platform in beta. At this point, we’ve just recently coordinated a soft launch.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The platform has been well-received so far. It has only been launched as a pilot project for now so that we can test it in a live environment and collect feedback. The app is available in the App Store and the Google Play market. From a technology standpoint, it’s performing quite well. You’d expect some occasional bugs, but there has been nothing major so far. And Azati has been reliable in fixing them as they come up. The app has never crashed, which is a testament to the quality of the code they developed.

How did Azati perform from a project management standpoint?

They are professional in how they’ve organized all of the tasks. I only communicate with one person, the business analyst, and she’s proven to be capable and available. We’re in two different countries, so we’ve found it useful to work through text and WhatsApp. They’ve been in constant communication with me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have been available at practically all hours of the day. I never have to wait longer than an hour to receive a response.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Like any startup, we’re still learning so much about ourselves at this early stage. I don’t have anything negative to say about Azati because they’ve adapted to our style each time we’ve changed it in the past 10 or 11 months.
