What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The website worked fluently with no issues. Axisbits GmbH delivered what we wanted and needed — I was happy with their work. Since we don’t have a way to measure the site’s success, we don’t have quantitative metrics.

They were great at project management; the project manager made the process very smooth. Axisbits GmbH delivered on time and within budget. We communicated through Slack and occasional phone calls.

I was impressed with Axisbits GmbH’s use of modern tools and efficient communication. The team did exactly what I asked with no misunderstandings.

We hired Axisbits for the development of the new features for the existing project. Initially, our goal was to launch an online event in time, and once we successfully did that, we continued working together on the project, as we hold a BlackFriday event every year since then.

Our partner referred Axisbits to us. Our decision factors were good experience in specific technologies like PHP, straightforward communication, and the ability to establish a long-term partnership. We’ve got everything we looked for.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. Then the developers read the documentation and prepared the environment. After a few days, their Devs started to work with the tasks. We use Yii Framework, PHP and JQuery and Azure Cloud Services. Tasks are managed in Trello. Our goal was to develop all features in the backlog to a specific date.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

With the help of the Axisbits company, we managed to develop everything needed and be prepared for the event. They helped us with all aspects of the development. Since the initial project, we have been working with Axisbits for several years, constantly evolving our software. They aim for a long-term relationship, and we value that.

We had daily stand-ups with their developers. We used Slack, Trello, Notion and Bitbucket to coordinate, and they worked well with our team.

They solve complex problems with excellent communication and focus on building long-term collaboration.

There is always room for improvement, but there is nothing particular I can think of now.

They created a CRM built into the data processing algorithm. The product manages communication with customers and enables algorithmic sorting to compare properties using massive datasets. We gave them directions on how to create algorithms based on our data. It allowed us to target our marketing efforts to the right audience.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The platform received good reviews, and a new loyalty reward program helped attract customers. Axisbits has gone to great lengths to meet all needs, and their experience and flexibility have contributed to a long-term partnership.

Communication was very good from the very beginning. We received a clear estimation and proceeded with the project description. It's fun (because we thought that we know our product well) but they helped us to understand some important moments. All timelines were strict and they meet all deadlines.

Their desire to understand the client’s business was very impressive. There are all sorts of changes and scheduling needs within the assessment cycle. They took the time to learn the whole practice of creating a platform that fully meets our needs.

Not at this time.

We reviewed more than 20 companies across the CIS area and chose Axisbits because they passed our internal interview process and showed significant skills and portfolio in our niche. We looked for a company that could work within our working hours, had the relevant experience before, and have a strong managerial team to meet our deadlines.

We hired Axisbits to provide software development services for the e-learning service in the UK. The team was responsible for updating the front-end and back-end as well as developing new features for the web platform. The main challenge was in the limited time scope. We expected to get all the things done within two months.

In general, I am satisfied. We are going to start a new contract with them because their work was good.

We mainly gave them tasks through Asana, and they did what we asked and replied quickly. Everything was clear and their project management style worked well.

We are planning to work with them on a new contract that’s much bigger. This was a testament to their work.

Everything worked quite well. They met the guidelines and deadlines. I’m very satisfied. They gave us some options for faster, cheaper, and more efficient development. It may not be as stylish, but it works for our purposes.

They mostly spoke to my manager. I did some project management. In general, they were good. Other companies deliver something different when you ask them for something, but Axisbits delivered exactly what we wanted.

Axisbits’s remote team has done a wide variety of development work. We’ve utilized them for visual, so some of our design concepts and graphic design work. They’ve helped with mobile and UI/UX design. The team has also developed our core platforms and e-based projects.

We’ve worked with 4–5 Axisbits team members. They have a project manager who oversees everything.

How did you come to work with Axisbits?

I believe we found them through Upwork. We were looking for a subcontractor that worked with the same technologies as us. We tried Axisbits out on a small project, and we’ve since worked with them on several projects.

My company has spent around $100,000.

We’ve been working with Axisbits pretty consistently since August 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their work is good; they definitely put a good amount of effort into meeting our needs. With any software development, there are always bugs or things that don’t work out exactly as anticipated. Axisbits is great about adjusting and reworking issues that we find together. 

How did Axisbits perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done very well. The project manager makes sure the designers are working with the mobile specialist and vice versa to give us a good product.

I give them some flexibility. Depending on the project, I provide an outline and have them take it from there. Other times, I give them the core concept and some wireframes and ask them to create a rendering; then, we work together to finetune the rendering to meet our needs. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a wide variety of skill sets and are very handy. They’re extremely attentive; even with the time difference, they work similar hours to us. The team is always available, so if there’s an emergency fix that we need to do, they’re there and want to help. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. The only thing I could say is that they could market their services better so that I am aware of everything they can do for us.

Any advice for potential customers?

They’re a great addition to our team, but you always want somebody in-house who is knowledgeable.

I’m the CTO of SimplePin, a FinTech company that provides payment processing services to insurance companies. We have different business models, but the majority of our work is payments processing. We provide development services and integrate third-party solutions, like Salesforce and other CRMs. We normally integrate such applications into the API developed by us. As CTO, I’m responsible for design and technical initiatives.

What challenge were you trying to address with Axisbits?

We’ve hired Axisbits for multiple projects, but the most complex one was probably developing the framework of our website. The site has a custom framework based on Drupal, and it is capable of translating data from our API into documentation. We have a team of Java developers, but we needed to develop the site’s frontend.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Axisbits was responsible for implementing the frontend of the SimplePin website. They created a template, implemented it into the Drupal engine, and extended that template with custom functionalities. I was the architect behind the platform, and I worked on templates and wireframes with my internal graphic designer. The Axisbits developer consulted me on what would and wouldn’t work. The technologies they used included PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON.

There was one developer from Axisbits assigned to this particular project.

How did you come to work with Axisbits?

Someone I’m working with referred Axisbits. I tried them on a small project unrelated to the main website, and they provided excellent quality.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost of their work was around $10,000. However, it’s hard for me to say exactly, as I’ve had multiple budgets for this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started this project with Axisbits around a year ago. Our most recent complex project was deployed in the spring of 2019. They continue to help me whenever there’s a need.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m really pleased with the quality. Normally, we’d see about 100 bugs in a project of this size. With Axisbits, I had five issues in total. They helped me eliminate potential issues from the start of the project, and it was all done quickly. We use the site to exemplify the many ways users can connect to our system.  

How did Axisbits perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve managed projects myself, fulfilling the roles of both product owner and scrum master, so it was easy for me to plan projects with them. Once the concept was finalized within the first week, we created user stories and proposed estimates. We were pleasantly surprised by their rates.

We use Jira and Confluence for task management and documentation. We’re also using a Git repository. Our teams normally have daily 30-minute scrums in the morning to discuss all issues and obstacles. For this last project, we worked under the Kanban method because the sprints weren’t too big.

What did you find most impressive about them?

In terms of quality, Axisbits is one of the best developers I’ve worked with. I only have positive feedback. I also like their technical communication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The majority of the improvements that had to be made on the project were because of minor oversights in the documentation. The scripts and guidelines didn’t require it, but it could’ve helped. They put the whole thing together, but they weren’t managing the scope or providing testing. In this regard, Axisbits was perfect.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I believe that anyone looking to hire them will get a perfect project. Without a plan, it won’t be easy, but they could probably handle that part well.

I provided Axisbits with designs and a general idea of what I wanted, and they developed a website and online platform. They made the platform mobile-responsive. My husband communicated with Axisbits to make sure the server could handle the database and run smoothly.

The team built user portals for students and teachers, enabling students to follow their specific courses and teachers to monitor their lessons and students. They also built an admin portal so that I can create content and deliver it to students and teachers.

I had an idea of what I wanted, and Axisbits brought it to life. Their creativity enabled them to deliver a high-quality product that’s even better than I’d imagined. The platform is very modern and has a trendy design.

I’m confident that when I launch the platform, it will look good to the public and attract users. Their pricing structure is great, their integrity is awesome, and their creativity is phenomenal.

How did Axisbits perform from a project management standpoint?

At the start of the project, I met with Maxim, and he was friendly and attentive. I was initially a bit insecure because I didn’t know this company, but Maxim reassured me that they’d deliver the product they promised me. He gave me cost and time projections and said they wouldn’t exceed either. They kept their word on that.

Then, when we began the project, my project manager picked up right where Maxim left off. The transition was smoother than I anticipated. Maxim continued to check in and was always available if I had any questions or issues. At one point, I had a major concern, and Maxim addressed it right away.

All of Axisbits’s employees were professional. Their ability to work with people set them apart. If I didn’t like something, the designer switched it right away. They understood what this project meant to me, and they executed the platform with that frame of mind.

In order to deliver on the timeline they promised, Axisbits amped up the number of developers working on the project toward the end, but they didn’t raise the price. The team delivered what they said they would, which points to their integrity.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Structuring my company and getting this project off the ground has been challenging, and working with Axisbits has been the easiest part of the process. They created the heart of my program. Their creativity set them apart; when I asked for something, they not only did it but often delivered even more than what I requested.

I know people who have paid other companies the same amount and, after a few years, their product still isn’t mobile-responsive, let alone complete. I gave Axisbits a six-month timeframe, and they adhered to it. I already had a lot going on, and they never put extra stress on me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any complaints. They should market themselves so that more people find them.

Any advice for potential customers?

Just start working with them; you’re not going to be disappointed. They’re good about fixing issues or fulfilling requests right away. I often only had to mention something once, and they made it happen.

What were your goals for this project?

I needed a creative team to help me work around problems and provide me multiple solutions to it. A team to make me feel that they are genuinely interested in working for my project. And this is what I found in Axisbits.

How did you select this vendor?

First I wrote this development opportunity on several platforms and received over 50 applications. By narrowing them down by trust, quality and price Axisbits won the final selection.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Simply put it’s a platform to enhance a clients appointment booking experience drastically and on the other end, to provide a software for businesses to manage their own business by being registered on the platform. They are building the whole idea from scratch, also integrating a crm system which will make it easy for the firm to manage operations.

What was the team composition?

The CEO Maxim stayed in contact with Andrew the Project Manager. With both which I’m more than satisfied, they have provided great work and have a great work ethic. Moreover they assigned 1 front-end, 2 back-end and one on l-demand designer for my project.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

They always suit my needs and pace. Andrew does a great job coordinating the project. Unfortunately, I haven’t met any of the developers, might be because they work in scrums. I believe we could go a lot faster with the project if needed, so the effectiveness is really what you want it to be. In my case very effective.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They provided excellent communication, invoicing, transparency, creative solutions. Most of all I’m very happy to work with a team that understands the modern world design and feature needs.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What really convinced me to work with them was their very modern designs they created and their transparency. There was 1 point in my project which they had never done before, I gained further trust by them telling me the truth and also that although they never worked with such a system, that they believed it wouldn’t be a difficult task to master.

Are there any areas for improvement?

In the future I will need 7 days assistance. I hope that they will arrange that there is always a small group available to be able to fix emergency issues over weekends too (if needed).
