We make custom clothing using AI. I'm cofounder/president of the company, I oversee our technology, our operations, and financials for the brand.

We hired them to setup our back end for the business. They helped create our database and a lot of the workflows we needed for our operations. Our goal was to create the database, create workflows to ensure to automate tasks, and to ensure clean data could be used for our models.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them originally through upwork. The biggest thing was to find developers who could direct me, someone who isn't technical, to build out our back end with our future in mind. In addition, they had to be OK with doing the development work.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Working with autonomoustech has been a pleasure. Before this, I had many one off developers that provided little to no guidance for how to best setup our company's back end. These ex-developers used shortcuts and didn't communicate potential pitfalls in the building of our back end.

Autonomoustech guided me every step along the way to ensure I knew the tradeoffs for every decision. They worked closely with me and I felt like they always had the business' best interest in mind when it came to development hours, infrastructure costs, and execution of our business requirements.

Autonomoustech is a very hands off team, they like to ensure requirements are clear before moving forward. Once they've understood the tasks at hand, they are able to work pretty hands off. They love to use slack, they use kanban's for project management, and have suggested process improvements for communications along the way.

Their ability to buy into the vision of our company is highly appreciated!

I wish I could have them for more hours!

I’m the CTO of a small startup producing news in Germany. We also provide political communication and strategic political services to our clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Autonomous Technologies?

We needed help with developing our initial website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Autonomous Technologies first helped us deploy our initial website, and they’re now developing the second version of our site, integrating new, more complex features for networking, payment processing, and direct messaging. Basically, they’re building a social network into our existing web presence.

Initially, they helped us with the project planning, from writing down our requirements and ensuring everything was well-documented to planning an entire timeline for the project. During this process, they also helped us define the technologies we would use based on their recommendations.

After the planning phase, Autonomous Technologies helped us implement the frontend design. Then, they built an API for the backend solution. The technology used for this site includes Django for the backend and React for the frontend. Additionally, they’ve used the Django REST framework to create the API.

Currently, Autonomous Technologies is developing functionalities for the frontend. Moreover, we’re in the process of signing a contract for web analytics and strategic consulting regarding user retention and acquisition.

What is the team composition?

I’ve been in contact with five people from Autonomous Technologies, and I’ve worked directly with three of them, including Rizwan (Founder), Muhammad (Co-Founder & CTO), and a frontend designer and engineer.

How did you come to work with Autonomous Technologies?

I found them on Fiverr when I was looking for someone to develop our website. They made the most compelling offer regarding the pricing and the details of how they would approach our needs.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2021, and our engagement is ongoing. We started working together based on a yearly contract, which we’re currently renewing because we’re very happy with their services.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our website’s uptime rate has been way over 99%, so we’ve had practically no issues with it. Still, Autonomous Technologies has taken care of any small bugs and issues that have arisen, so we’re very happy with that. Once we start using them for user retention and acquisition, we will be looking at user growth, which will be our main KPI.

How did Autonomous Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Autonomous Technologies is friendly, fast-working, and timely. They delivered the first website on time, and we’re currently on track regarding the second version’s deployment. Whenever there is a small delay caused by unforeseen circumstances, they quickly inform us so that we can plan accordingly.

Autonomous Technologies always includes a buffer in their estimations, both related to the budget and to the timeline, so that challenges are accounted for. Additionally, we have weekly meetings to review the project, and we’re already beta-testing the new site; everything seems to be going really well. So far, their project management has been up to the standards. We communicate via Slack and plan projects using Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Whenever we put a problem in front of Autonomous Technologies, they always come back with a solution really fast, which is impressive. Additionally, their customer service is outstanding; I had never worked with a company as invested in their customers as they are.

No, I couldn’t be happier with their service.

Come with a very clear picture of your needs. Autonomous Technologies will solve any problems you face down the road for you, but you need to know what you want so that they can build it.

I’m the CEO and founder of Makahealth, a web3 marketplace for functional wellness.

What challenge were you trying to address with Autonomous Technologies?

Our company was getting off the ground and wanted to develop an MVP to show partners, investors, and users and get more feedback on our business concept idea.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Autonomous Technologies has helped us bring our concept idea into a technology solution. When we started the project, we had very light documentation and some drawings of how we wanted the MVP to look. With that input, they built a detailed product development plan and a scope document in partnership with our team.

Autonomous Technologies were the ones who decided on the technology stack for this product, aiming at the best solution to get us to market fast while making the solution look elegant. Ultimately, they built a React-based site with a Shopify integration and a headless backend, enabling us to navigate the backend and work with data.

This product is a functional wellness questionnaire that enables people to go in and fill out a profile of questions related to their health. Then, thanks to the personalization technology built by Autonomous Technologies, it produces supplement and vitamin recommendations based on the user’s input. It also has a full library of video materials of the practitioners involved in our platform, as well as a home for these practitioners’ profiles. Moreover, it has something we call the Health Data Vault, a whole organizational repository for the functional health world.

In addition to MVP development, Autonomous Technologies has provided us with consulting services. For example, they’ve worked with us with an incubator to advise us on health data privacy, and they’ve taken training and worked with experts to build out our product’s privacy policy and try to make it HIPAA-compliant.

We work closely with Rizwan (Founder & CEO), who acts as the head of technology for our project. We’ve also worked with Abdullah (Co-Founder & CTO), who has been involved as the full stack, backend-focused senior developer and has architected most of the platform, and a React developer who has developed most of the UI and functionality.

How did you come to work with Autonomous Technologies?

I had an existing relationship with Rizwan. He knew I was starting this company, so he reached out to me — it was the right fit at the right time.

We’ve spent around $75,000–$100,000 CAD (approximately $58,000–$77,000 USD).

We started working together in June 2021, and our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Autonomous Technologies, our MVP is an incredibly beautiful technology piece. The backend solution is an elegant way to give us power over the product while still working in partnership with them to roll it out. Their team has gone above and beyond to bring forward software solutions and assessments for us, and they’ve taken the initiative to deliver a streamlined, beautiful, and elegant design.

People who have used the product recognize that it is more than an MVP; it is a functional application. Therefore, the quality of Autonomous Technologies’ work is demonstrated by their ability to collaborate with our team and deliver a well-designed and functional product.

How did Autonomous Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Autonomous Technologies has met the deadlines and stayed on budget, and overall, they’ve done a very good job managing the project in Jira and integrating feedback from our team. We really value the close relationship we’ve developed with them. During development, they were very flexible when we had new discoveries, demonstrating a great ability to shift focus on the go, which was very beneficial. In addition to Jira, we use GitHub for project management, and we communicate through Slack messages and biweekly zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Autonomous Technologies’ strength is their ability to execute very well and to be transparent and clear in their communication. They’ve demonstrated a genuine interest in doing a good job and delivering a successful project; that’s why we’ve had great results. Additionally, Autonomous Technologies’ flexibility and ability to collaborate with us in a pragmatic and thoughtful way made us decide that we wanted to keep working with them for a long time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Everything they’ve done has been done on time and according to plan.

Quirkifrog is a collection of NFT on the polygon network where we focus on bringing back the good high school days. Each frog represents the persona of a typical high school student. I am the cofounder and head of operations at Quirkifrog.

For what projects/services did your company hire Autonomous Technologies, and what were your goals?

We hired Autonomous technologies for both the marketing and creation of the website and the smart contract on the polygon network. Autonomous technologies have been managing our twitter channel and building our following by creating and posting content.

In addition, they have to work with twitter influencers to raise awareness of our brand. My team designed the NFT and wireframe of the website. Autonomous technologies built the website from scratch and are currently in the process of building the smart contract for launch day.

I have worked with Riz, the founder of Autonomous Technologies on previous projects. We have a strong working relationship. He has an abundance of experience working for successful tech companies in North America. He is easy to work with and communicates very well. He has a strong team behind him in both the marketing and technical aspects.

First, we did a discovery call with Autonomous Technologies and his team where we talked about goals and what we want to achieve in the project. Autonomous Technologies then did research on the NFT market and evaluate what made them successful. After that, they created a marketing plan on the types of content to release, the target market, and how to build a community. They created content for twitter and began posting on the platform. The next step is to research influencers and who is best to engage with. They reached out to potential influencers and evaluate each of their pages and their engagement in their post. From there, they presented to my internal team the different packages that each influencer had to offer and their analysis. We picked out the ones that we like and began engaging in the content posting. We evaluate the team's work through the engagement of each post and the number of followers we gain in Twitter. On the other hand, Autonomous Technologies also created the website. Our internal team created the design and wireframes of the website. From there, Autonomous technologies evaluate the feasibility of each content of the website. They worked together with our in-house designer to perfect the website and coded it from scratch. We are currently in the process of building the Smart contract.

20% engagement rates on Twitter posts. Thousands of followers gained on Twitter. Beautiful looking website. Consistent high-quality content posted. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have a video call every Saturday to discuss progress, results, and next steps. They are easy to communicate and work with despite the time zone difference. We take a look into Twitter analytics to see the engagement rates.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They do both website creation and marketing. They have a diverse team so more engaging and relatable. They produce high-quality content.
