We were looking to differentiate our church from others with the same name, both locally as well as on a national level.  We needed a new logo, brand system and language to align with our mission statement. We also requested branding for our outreach organization, which operates under the umbrella of the church, but has it's own unique mission.

We went through a very thorough discovery and naming process that proved to enhance and solidify our own awareness of who we are as an organization.  We received a modern and unique new logo, brandmark and monogram along with an entire brand system that is clear and easy to use.

Atticsalt developed a compelling verbal identity for our brand, crafting our story, taglines, positioning, and persona in a way that truly reflects our unique values. They also created a detailed messaging architecture, including key messaging for different audience segments, creative copy ideas, and guidelines for how our brand should communicate.

In the visual identity design phase, Atticsalt presented mood boards that encapsulated the essence of our brand, allowing us to collaborate on the creative direction early in the process. They then developed distinct identity concepts, including logo systems, color palettes, font treatments, and additional brand visuals. Their work also included defining our photography style and creating conceptual mock-ups for various brand assets.

Atticsalt delivered final logo system files, a master color palette, and font files, all accompanied by a comprehensive brand guide. This digital document outlines the foundational elements of our brand's visual system, ensuring consistency across all applications.

The web experience phase was equally thorough, starting with a content architecture workshop to redefine our website's structure and user flow. Attic Salt helped us create a framework for our brand expansion as well as a complete visual identity around our new primary brand and a series of subbrands within it. Deliverables included a new wordmark logo, a new graphical mascot to accompany the logo, a framework for naming conventions and presentations of the various subbrands (including our premium membership program), designs for our various editorial newsletters, and designs/strategies for key pages on our revamped website.

I'm the founder and CEO of Faceology. Our clinic provides myofunctional therapy services to individuals experiencing snoring, sleep apnea, jaw pain, and related issues. This therapy involves exercising and strengthening the muscles in the mouth and face, similar to physical therapy. Our team of therapists offers online treatment sessions for patients.

We were seeking assistance for a rebranding project.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

AtticSalt Branding was responsible for rebranding my website, social media, and our whole presence. We had several meetings, both over Zoom and in person, in which we discussed all our needs. 

The process was thorough. The team put a lot of effort into understanding our requirements. They took the time to comprehend our brand and assisted us in defining our core values.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their quality is exceptional, and the brand is beautiful. I want to show AtticSalt Branding's work to everyone. 

Before working with AtticSalt Branding, we didn't have a clear brand, voice, or core values. However, with the help of their expertise, we were able to identify and establish these essential aspects. As our industry can be obscure, I was initially skeptical about finding someone who could truly grasp it.

While it was costly, I firmly believe it was worth the investment. I own two businesses and wished I could have them rebrand my other business, but I couldn't afford to do two at that price. 

How did AtticSalt Branding perform from a project management standpoint?

AtticSalt Branding met all the deadlines. They gave me the quote upfront and never went over the budget. They broke up the payment over three months for me, which was helpful.

We used a designer platform to communicate and collaborate, accessible to everyone. We also communicated through various channels such as emails, texts, phone calls, and Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The AtticSalt Branding team did a ton of research on the backend. They could speak about my industry as if they had previous experience in it, and I was really impressed by that. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There aren't any areas for improvement. I was pleased with the results, and there's nothing negative to say.

We asked for Attic Salt for a laundry list of deliverables in the shortest (some would say "not doable") amount of time. Not only did Attic Salt adhere to the timeline, but they delivered incredible work. Rani, Lauren, and team put in loads of listening time, did the behind the scenes work, involved us in the process, and met deadlines. 

They also catered to our needs, but didn't sacrifice their expertise at the expense of providing us what we wanted in a new brand. The result was a brand that exceeded expectations.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Attic Salt has a refined process and true expertise. Trust me, I challenged them in every which way to work against their process so that we could get the brand out the door faster. Looking back on the project, there were many moments were I would have royally messed things up had I not fully trusted the Attic Salt team. I almost pulled the trigger to announce the brand about a month too early. 

I wanted all caps for our logo. Fortunately, none of that happened. Attic Salt has a unique ability to listen, help you feel like you've been heard, and then help the brand arrive at the right destination.

Are there any areas for improvement or something AtticSalt Branding could have done differently?

From a client side, I had never used Miro and the tool is an important part of their process. Of course, Attic Salt devotes training time to help clients feel comfortable with Miro and provides all the resources you need to get onboarded. But still, there's a slight learning curve from a client set in terms of tools that are foreign to us like Miro and Adobe. Still, you gotta collaborate and use tools to do it. Miro and Adobe seem to be the leading tools in the space, but just took us some time to get used to.

We needed to build the brand and visual identity from scratch.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we scoped out the project with AtticSalt and dug into the ideation and discovery work. We reviewed some potential directions for the brand and visual identity. Then, we selected one and iterated on it until we locked it in and landed the final deliverables: the brand book, logo, and some collateral.

SmartScrubs is a technology solution for managing uniform programs for healthcare organizations. At the time of the project I was the Marketing Manager at SmartScrubs.

For what projects/services did your company hire AtticSalt Branding, and what were your goals?

SmartScrubs hired AtticSalt to help modernize our brand to better reflect our company as an innovative leader in technology/software solutions for uniform programs within health care organizations. Specifically, we wanted them to redesign our logo, tagline, website, custom group websites, program communication emails, and sales collateral.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We found several companies online and through word of mouth and reviewed their portfolios online before scheduling a meeting with those whose style we found clean and modern. We received proposals after two of the four calls. We found Rani to be incredibly personable and knowledgeable, and AtticSalt's process to be thorough and detailed. Despite their proposal involving a higher cost, we selected AtticSalt because we felt most comfortable in their hands.

We started with a discovery call with the SmartScrubs and AtticSalt teams. Afterward we filled out AtticSalt's ThinkBook to help prepare for a 3-day workshop. When the deliverables were ready we reviewed them and provided feedback over the course of several meetings.

AtticSalt was very timely with feedback and deliverables and used helpful and easy-to-use tools like Miro. 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me the most about AtticSalt was the thoroughness of their discovery process. You cannot truly get to know a company, its personality, its value to customers or its goals in one hour-long meeting as some agencies proposed. AtticSalt really makes an effort to immerse itself in your existing brand and to gain a deep understanding of what makes you unique in order to communicate that to the world.

In addition, we were drawn to Rani's personality, his passion and his expertise. Working with Rani was worth every penny.
