A Cure Experience is an experience designed to provide our discerning guests with a sense of exclusivity, elegance, and intelligence—an ecosystem custom created for collaboration that is ripe for the advancement of healthcare. A Cure event is carefully planned and executed to create an unforgettable experience for all who attend in person or online. 

The Cure venue is stylish and sophisticated, offering guests best-in-class catering with delicious, nutritious food prepared by executive chef Mike Smith in a tailor-made kitchen designed for perfection. Cure events provides a well-appointed program experience with state-of-the-art technology featuring top-tier thought leaders, positive industry disruptors and intellectual debates to advance healthcare. The guests receive impeccable 360 degree white-glove service from start to finish. 

Project Cheetah (Scope of Work - Web & Mobile Platform):

Like a cheetah, our website will need to be fast, strong, have excellent vision and always evolving. The platform will be our information hub which will be the connecting bridge between healthcare, life science and academic communities into a singular ecosystem, Cure. Making the collective ecosystem faster, smarter, and more dynamic to advance healthcare. The website will reflect Community, Content, Collaboration, Clarity, Consistency, Communication and Convening. 7 C's = Cure. 

In addition to telling the Cure story, our primary goal for the digital platform is for it to become the epicenter of healthcare information, education, knowledge, news, research, resource center, original digital content, events, and community engagement;

• We request a custom-built scalable content management platform that achieves our goal of becoming the Worldwide Leader in health & life science news, education, knowledge, research, insights, data analytics and information. Our custom curated information, research and original content will be the environment of our user's ecosystem; the interactivity will drive our community engagement, and their experience will be Cure.

The project was exceptionally well-managed through ClickUp and Slack, which made the process smooth and highly organized. They provided daily standup meetings, weekly reviews, and monthly project assessments, keeping everything structured and on track.

ClickUp allowed for clear visibility into task progression, with milestones and timelines meticulously outlined, and Slack made real-time communication easy and efficient. The team was always responsive to my needs, addressing any concerns or questions promptly and making sure I was fully informed.

In terms of delivery, the team generally met deadlines and provided quality work. However, there were some delays in progress related to our company's indecision on that the content pillars should be and which audience to target first, as well as inconsistencies in the CEO's attendance  at meetings and revolving position.

Despite these internal challenges, the Athlon team worked hard to minimize the impact on the overall timeline. They adjusted workflows and communicated any solutions making sure we stayed aligned and could still meet key objectives.

Overall, Althon handled the project professionally, managing tasks and timelines effectively, and delivered strong results despite our internal ternal challenges.

Absolutely, the worst experience I've had in 25 years of web development history period. they asked for an insanely high price that exceeded our budget I expect a tremendous work period they promised to do copywriting and branding and not only that I asked for multiple extensions on time after giving us a hard promise, they then said they were unable to do any copywriting. STAY AWAY .  after a fire them which I should've done without payment given the truly negligent work, I agreed to a more than generous final payment. They then lied and renged on providing the work product that I paid for.

ZERO. They asked for multiple extensions despite our agreement on the urgency of the delivery shedule.

Moreover, they skilfully moderated the meetings and infused a touch of personality and enjoyment into the proceedings, ensuring that meetings were not only productive but also enjoyable.

Our collaboration with Athlon has truly been an enriching experience. Despite the geographical distance, with them being in London and us in Zurich, their commitment to understanding and sharing our vision was evident, making them feel like an extension of our own team. The coordination within the Athlon team was seamless. Each member demonstrated an extraordinary level of dedication towards building our brand and platform. 

It’s not often that you come across a team that invests so deeply in their client’s product. It truly felt like we were not "just another client". Their proficiency in remote work is also worth mentioning. Despite only meeting online for almost a year, when I finally met them in person, the bond we had developed felt as if we had known each other for much longer. Their skill set, dedication, and alignment with our vision truly set them apart.

This meant that work could be kept to a precise time budget, and that there was an opportunity to change the prioritization of work from sprint to sprint. Our initial uncertainty about the status of the output at the end of each sprint was quickly resolved, and Athlon made sure that communication between all the project's stakeholders was clear, and that the path to final delivery of the project artefacts was well understood.

Athlon worked with a lot of flexibility to make sure that we came away from the time-limited exercise with the artefacts that were most important to us. With the brand messaging in particular, they took us in a direction that we weren't initially anticipating, but that turned out to be absolutely authentic for us and appropriate for our audience.

Although the rapid sprints brought a lot of flexibility to the process, they also necessitated rapid reviews of deliverables. The process was the right one to balance budget with required output, but for something as subjective as a branding exercise it did mean that there was an uncomfortably small amount of time available to fully absorb and review a sprint's deliverables.

We wish they would have been less pushy regarding sales, and some of the additional functionalities were more expensive than we felt they should have been.

We used Athlon for our re-brand the year before and liked working with the team there. Ranzie and his team are great.

I wasn't the lead on the project so can't remember all of the steps. I know we had to scope out the technology (deciding on Word Press), design and build the I frames and go through the technical set up.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

10 months after the launch of the website we have seen our website traffic increase by 300%, this was in line with our goal of increasing brand reach. We have also seen time on page increase by 150% and average page views increase by 200%.

We had weekly check-ins with the project team as well as additional meetings where need be (specifically when we were designing the Iframes).

I like that you are small and bespoke. You can clearly see that there is a great culture, showing through their team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we launched there were a lot of bugs and it caused a lot of headaches. The team did work as hard as they could however it took a long time to fix these. As we didn't put a retainer in place with you it felt like this went against us and we were left to it. We ended up hiring a developer to help fix these issues.

We needed help with our brand strategy as well as the design and development of our mobile application and website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first spoke to Athlon: Global Brand & Design Studio about our brand strategy and identity. We worked together on the design of our brand assets, including our logos and color schemes. After that, we moved on to the research design of our product — we have a member’s club and shop, and we run classes for children. They helped us understand how our product will come to life across all facets.

Additionally, Athlon: Global Brand & Design Studio helped with the creation of our website and member’s only application. They worked on the front- and backend of both platforms. This involved handling the UI/UX design, integrating third-party platforms, and developing an iOS and Android version of our app. They used Figma to create wireframes and designs.

The website and mobile app were functioning smoothly, and we were very happy with the metrics we got based on our Google Analytics results.

They had a very good project manager — she was always available for chats, very confident when speaking from a developer and designer’s point of view, and highly knowledgeable. Overall, their team was responsive and timely. For tracking tasks, we used monday.com. We regularly interacted through Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were able to give us many options instead of just following our brief. Because of that, we got a bit more creative with what we were offering. They also worked really well with our third-party providers.

No, they really understood us and gave us exactly what we were looking for.

Give them a little breathing space to come up with ideas that haven’t been thought of.

Following their input in the Innovation Strategy Development, we witnessed a notable increase in requests for innovation team support in the organisation to help drive a growth culture, requests for Innovation team support in delivering high profile projects. 

The Innovation Brand Development initiative resulted in improved brand recognition and engagement both internally and externally, heightened social media engagement, and positive feedback post-brand launch. Colleague Coaching and Upskilling sessions showcased tangible results through pre- and post-training assessments, demonstrating quantifiable improvements in research, design thinking, and pitch presentation skills among team members. 

The Competitor Audit and Website Recommendations led to key discussions amongst the Executive team with the need to invest and update the website to being more digital, engaging and easier to navigate.
