We asked Areal Design for help with designing the landing page that would assist our potential customers in understanding the process of buying land plots via e-auction at Prozorro.Sale. The Areal Design team conducted an in-depth interview on how the system works, what the buying process looks like, and the benefits buyers will receive. We received the initial draft of the landing page and later the final version, which is easy to adjust.

I’m the owner and founder of a project management and live events production company. We operate in LA and internationally.

What challenge were you trying to address with Areal.design?

We were trying to improve our online presence and put our best foot forward for anyone who wanted to see our past work. We wanted to showcase it in an engaging way so viewers could dive further into our projects and stay longer on the website. 

The technical challenges for the website were the responsiveness and the design. We wanted to ensure that the site communicated our business values. Overall, we wanted it to be interactive.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Areal.design built our WordPress website from scratch. We initially had a project brief and some existing 3D and design assets. The project had three phases; we started by clarifying our business’ visual identity. We were missing some assets and a refresh on one of the logos. From there, we worked on copywriting based on the branding work we did together. Once that was clear, we went into the web design process; we went back and forth on the design for the pages. Finally, Areal.design went into development.

The website was designed as a business portfolio. Users could look at the site to gain more information about what we do, and we could use it to provide clients with synergistic examples of our projects.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with a project manager. Additionally, we had a designer, a copywriter, and a web developer on the team.

How did you come to work with Areal.design?

I found them through Clutch. I liked the style of their website; it closely matched the style I wanted for my website’s refreshed version.

We spent between $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began taking in September 2021 and started the project in October 2021. They completed the project in June 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we reach out to clients, we certainly feel we have to explain less about what we do. The information is at their fingertips in a way that it never was before.

How did Areal.design perform from a project management standpoint?

They were straightforward and responsive; they never took over 12 hours to respond to our messages with clear expectations. We also put our requirements in writing, and they honored the contract. Moreover, the team was willing to work with us, split the project into phases, and organize the payments accordingly.

We communicated with them through our preferred channels, so we mainly used emails and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their main strengths were their tenacity, determination, and desire to create something that stood out from other pages. The team was loyal despite the challenges, and their optimism was impressive. They never settled for something generic or stopped being creative despite the circumstances. Areal.design really put their hearts into what they created, and it came from all of their design sensibilities.

Overall, they were a reliable team. The Russian Invasion of Ukraine broke out during the project, but the team didn’t put a pause on it. They never thought about quitting or stopping, even though it was a challenging situation for them and their families.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no complaints about them. Working with Areal.design was lovely; I’d highly recommend them to anyone that wants to have an impactful and eye-catching website.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Echo their responsiveness and be sure about what you’re looking for in your technical needs and brand image. Areal.design can create unique customized websites, so they’re a great option if you want to do something beyond a normal template. They shine when they have a creative challenge.

Our website should be our evidence, our platform and confirmation of our philosophy- a synergy of technology, business, and sports. The target that we set for the team is a technological, creative, non-standard and, at the same time, a very convenient, understandable website that not only represents us in B2G, B2B, but also is attractive for potential candidates.

How did you select Areal.design and what were the deciding factors?

We had a tender among companies that are specialized in website development and web design. And several companies took part in our open tender. Areal presented wonderful ideas that exceeded all our expectations starting from the first stage of the tender.

The webpage has to be functional and user friendly. In the first stage, we defined several sections (About us, Leadership, Teams, Culture & Values, Vacancies, Benefits, Opportunities). But in the progress of work, some sections were expanded and slightly changed.

• About us: emotional videos and designs / wow-effect/ get to know us
• Teams: all about the platform, expertise, innovation
• Culture & Values: who we are, how we live, what is valuable to us, videos, photos, texts. We can tell this through stories.
• Vacancies: vacancies and more about work conditions. A function to divide by region, department, and technology.
• Benefits: everything the company does for employees - videos, texts, photos. Includes infographics, details, and stories.
• Opportunities: information on opportunities for beginners Leadership: information about the top management team Thus, some of the sections had to be expanded:

“Opportunities” has grown into a full-fledged section of Parimatch Tech Academy, “Benefits” has been transformed into “Career”. Areal team has created unique 3D models of the company's leaders for the “Leadership” section, adding dynamics and technological effect to the project. Areal team has realized a unique solution - the creation of “live” heroes, symbolizing the three manifistations of our company - business, technology, and sports, on the home page.

These heroes have subsequently spread into our internal and recruitment communications. One of the most important technical tasks was the integration of recruitment systems with the website. This allows accepting CVs on the website and automatically adding them to the recruitment system.

We aimed to create a direct gateway with no manual work. This was critical to streamline and automate our recruitment team. From the Areal team side, several solutions have been proposed and the best one has been implemented.

Moreover, Areal team has foreseen such an important solution for us that in case of changing the recruitment system, we will not have to fulfill additional work.

1. An increase in the average value for the position. In November that number was 15.9 against 9.1 in January ( 6.8 point increase).
2. 284 clicks in Nov vs 2960 clicks in Jan (an increase - 942.2%).
3. Impressions: 50.6 K. in Nov vs 279 K. in Jan (an increase - 451.3%).
4. 2615 users in Jan vs 984 in Nov (an increase - 165.7%).
5. 3156 sessions in Jan vs 1610 in Nov (an increase - 96.02%).
6. In January the site was recognized as The Website of the Day

It was one of the most enjoyable and highly effective projects in my experience. Areal team was really proactive and result-oriented. The project was accomplished within the timeline and all agreements.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed by how well the Areal team managed to feel the spirit, values, and strengths of the company. After just a month of work it was unnecessary to interfere with their creative process. Every idea and new solution hit the target.

Despite the highly professional creativity, the guys were able to create a technically holistic and high-quality website that is easy to manage and is integrated with our internal systems.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the moment, we plan to continue cooperation with the team and involve them in our new projects. Therefore, I cannot point to any growth zones - I am very pleased with the result of our joint work.
