A few years ago, a voting system was implemented in the City Hall of Gdansk, which did not meet our expectations. The platform was not efficient enough, there were problems during voting and, security audit showed significant vulnerabilities and gaps in the code. We had to find another solution and Ardura proposed to build one for us from scratch.

Ardura Consulting provided full stack development resources to build a City Hall platform for all citizens of the city of Gdansk used to handle voting on the Civic Budget. They analyzed the requirements, implemented, tested, and commissioned a system in the SAAS model hosted on Ardura's servers.

Knowing what we expect from the new system, in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, we announced a tender to provide a voting platform that meets the requirements of the office. After receiving offers we analyzed bidders and presented business conditions. We selected the offer that met all the substantive criteria: price, implementation time, experience, and credibility of the bidder.

The platform developed by Ardura enabled not only a smooth, secure, and efficient execution of the full voting process for the qualified projects, but also provided consistent support for the entire process of processing applications - from the moment of their submission through the entire path of acceptance.

They fulfilled all project assumptions within the assumed budget and according to the schedule and best practices. Our problems with the previous platform have been eliminated. We obtained a new, lightweight, customizable tool for many years of work.

If I did have any criticism or something they could improve upon, I’d have the conversation with them, and it would get remedied. I think deployment of some functionalities sometimes took a little bit longer than we expected, but for this type of work (from scratch), it was less of an issue because at the end of each module we got the expected results.

This would not have been possible if the Ardura employees had not been valuable advisors. My favorite part of working together was resolving the intricate procedural issues and talking about where things were headed, both from the perspective of citizen expectations and modern technology.

Bringing that knowledge into our conversations helped me to oversee the project and determine how to grow as an office. If I did have any criticism or something they could improve upon, I’d have the conversation with them, and it would get remedied. I think deployment of some functionalities sometimes took a little bit longer than we expected, but for this type of work (from scratch), it was less of an issue because at the end of each module we got the expected results.

Throughout our collaboration, ARDURA Consulting has demonstrated excellent expertise and professionalism. However, there is always room for development and improvement. One area that could be improved is the internal communication between different members of the project team. We found that the integration of feedback from the end customer to the development team could be smoother, which could reduce the response time to minor corrections and changes in specifications. 

In addition, while the project management methods were effective, we suggest that additional training in agile methodologies should be considered to further improve the team's adaptability and responsiveness to changing project conditions. Overall, the collaboration was fruitful, and these suggestions can be a valuable addition to ARDURA Consulting's already high standard of work.
