While the overall collaboration with ARDURA Consulting has been very fruitful and has brought a number of benefits, there are several areas where we see potential for further development. We would like to see more emphasis on interdisciplinary knowledge sharing between data analytics specialists and mobile app developers, which could lead to even deeper integration of analytics data with app functionality. 

In addition, while the response time for providing specialists was impressive, we suggest that a more detailed onboarding process for new team members be implemented to further reduce training time and ensure a smoother transition to effective work. These small adjustments can have a significant impact on productivity and synergy in future projects.

I’m currently the Chief Specialist in the Office for Neighborhood Councils and Community Relations. Our job is to help all citizens of the city of Gdansk to Providing organizational and technical services to district councils and boards. Support in planning and consulting the tasks carried out with the districts' financial resources. Accepting and coordinating proposals of district councils concerning the implementation of tasks from the districts' statutory funds.

For what projects/services did your company hire ARDURA Consulting, and what were your goals?

A few years ago, a voting system was implemented in the City Hall of Gdansk, which did not meet our expectations. The platform was not efficient enough, there were problems during voting and, security audit showed significant vulnerabilities and gaps in the code. We had to find another solution and Ardura proposed to build one for us from scratch.

Ardura Consulting provided full stack development resources to build a City Hall platform for all citizens of the city of Gdansk used to handle voting on the Civic Budget. They analyzed the requirements, implemented, tested, and commissioned a system in the SAAS model hosted on Ardura's servers.

Knowing what we expect from the new system, in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, we announced a tender to provide a voting platform that meets the requirements of the office. After receiving offers we analyzed bidders and presented business conditions. We selected the offer that met all the substantive criteria: price, implementation time, experience, and credibility of the bidder.

Ardura Consulting proved to be top-notch in terms of their technical skills and high-quality deliverables. The detail-oriented team communicated seamlessly and managed the project well.

That team fluctuated between 4–8 people. Among the team members were: Project Manager responsible for coordinating the work; analyst responsible for implementing the substantive requirements on the platform, senior frontend developer responsible for the appearance and functionality of the platform interface, junior frontend developer, three backend developers responsible for writing the backend part of the application.

Also tester responsible for performance and functional testing, security specialist responsible for auditing the code and security of the application.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The platform developed by Ardura enabled not only a smooth, secure, and efficient execution of the full voting process for the qualified projects, but also provided consistent support for the entire process of processing applications - from the moment of their submission through the entire path of acceptance.

They fulfilled all project assumptions within the assumed budget and according to the schedule and best practices. Our problems with the previous platform have been eliminated. We obtained a new, lightweight, customizable tool for many years of work.

If I did have any criticism or something they could improve upon, I’d have the conversation with them, and it would get remedied. I think deployment of some functionalities sometimes took a little bit longer than we expected, but for this type of work (from scratch), it was less of an issue because at the end of each module we got the expected results.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

This would not have been possible if the Ardura employees had not been valuable advisors. My favorite part of working together was resolving the intricate procedural issues and talking about where things were headed, both from the perspective of citizen expectations and modern technology.

It was great to have conversations with Artur and Damian about next steps because they had deep project experience and familiarity with administrative level issues. Bringing that knowledge into our conversations helped me to oversee the project and determine how to grow as an office. This was a huge benefit to the development of the entire city office, not just my department.

We found that the integration of feedback from the end customer to the development team could be smoother, which could reduce the response time to minor corrections and changes in specifications. 

In addition, while the project management methods were effective, we suggest that additional training in agile methodologies should be considered to further improve the team's adaptability and responsiveness to changing project conditions. Overall, the collaboration was fruitful, and these suggestions can be a valuable addition to ARDURA Consulting's already high standard of work.
