Lekker Home is the source for luxury European design. Founded by Natalie van Dijk in 2003, Lekker Home was inspired by the impact design can have on a person and a room.

We offer high-end furniture, lighting, and décor for homes, as well as exclusive contract grade furniture for commercial and hospitality applications. Our curated collection includes the best of modern design — from European design icons to emerging artists. We serve luxury residential, commercial and hospitality interior designers, architects and homeowners.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Our initial project with Arctic Leaf was replatforming our website from Magento (Adobe Commerce) to BigCommerce — this included work on UX, wireframes, design,  product setup, custom pages and widgets, and more.

Soon after the initial launch, we worked with Arctic Leaf to roll out a B2B Portal using BigCommerce B2B Edition. They helped us customize the look and feel to match the rest of our site, making it a seamless experience for our B2B customers.

We have had a maintenance agreement with Arctic Leaf since launch. We work with them regularly to make improvements to the site, fix bugs, and ensure that our team has the tools they need to work efficiently and effectively.

Additionally, we extended our partnership to include email marketing optimization services — they designed templates in line with current best practices, and expanded our flows (automations) from just three to seven.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We initially partnered with Arctic Leaf for their expertise in eCommerce consulting and development. We were facing a tight four-month deadline to completely replatform our website. This wasn't a simple task — we needed to keep our highly customized luxury user experience and our ERP integration intact, all while sticking to a strict budget. Arctic Leaf truly delivered. They got our new site live with time to spare, and they made countless improvements to our user experience, while giving our team the ability to manage our products and content with ease. Not long after the launch, they helped with the rollout of our B2B Portal, which has been a huge upgrade for both our clients and our internal team.

We were so impressed that we extended our partnership to cover annual maintenance and email marketing optimization. Arctic Leaf dug into our existing campaigns, suggested smart improvements, shared their best practices, and significantly  expanded our email flows. In just three months, we've seen substantial growth across the board – engagement, click-through rates, conversions, and revenue. The boost in engagement alone has already proven to be a worthwhile investment. A big thank you to Romina, Matt, and the whole Arctic Leaf team for their commitment, innovative ideas, and hands-on support. We're really looking forward to seeing how they continue to help us improve our customer experience.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We are thrilled with Arctic Leaf's project management — all of our projects have been on-time and on-budget, and they've been great with helping us solve complex problems. There were several instances where it would have been time intensive and costly to replicate exactly what we had on our previous site, and they helped us find solutions that kept us on track, while still giving our clients the high-end experience they expect.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We've been very impressed with everyone we've worked with, and the team clearly works well together. Different people have been brought in for different pieces of the various projects, and they've all been helpful, efficient, knowledgable, and all around nice to work with.

Even when someone is out sick, or on vacation, there is always someone covering, and they are looped in on where things are at, and what needs to be done next.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Arctic Leaf Inc. could have done differently?

We have nothing bad to say! Arctic Leaf is on top of things — even when things haven't gone as expected (which inevitably happens sometimes), they are proactive, and always keep us in the loop.

I’m the owner and CEO of a financial holding company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Arctic Leaf Inc.?

We wanted to develop a real estate CRM.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Arctic Leaf Inc. is developing a full-scale CRM relating to the operation and pain points that real estate agents and brokers face. They’re developing the platform on AWS and it’s written in MongoDB. The team has added all sorts of features including a DocuSign plug-in.

To get the CRM to beta testing, they had to put together a servicing package. So, they set up a pre-production site, a beta site, and an actual site. Arctic Leaf Inc. is still working with us to improve the CRM as well as the service, sales, and marketing aspects of the project.

What is the team composition?

We work directly with four teammates and indirectly with 6–8 others, including one teammate who is our full-time developer.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them three years ago and our engagement is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The product was done and engineered very well. We’ve had some bumps in the road but, generally speaking, they’ve been very good.

How did Arctic Leaf Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

The team has two offices, one in Ottawa and another in Los Angeles, so it’s been an easy process for us. In addition to our daily calls, Arctic Leaf Inc. uses an application called Teamwork that has an open window of everything they're doing when they’re doing it and how they’re doing it. 

I log in on an hourly basis to see what’s going on. Like everything else, there are delays that we have to deal with, but they are really good at having backups for all the critical issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very hands-on, doing a tremendous amount of internal discussion on how to enhance our product. Additionally, the team is very communicative and gives us suggestions on how to do things better. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re a small company so there are always going to be irritants along the way.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be prepared and give them the tools they need to accomplish what you want. Give them a description of the model that you want so they know exactly what they need to put together. In the beginning, there was a learning curve for both parties because a CRM is more complicated than a simple website.
