The following is a list of objectives and deliverables.
-Develop a modern, responsive Shopify Plus site that loads quickly and provides an intuitive shopping experience across devices.
-Improve user engagement and conversion rates through optimized UX/UI and a streamlined customer journey.
-Ensure the site architecture supports scalability, SEO best practices, and integration with existing marketing tools.

There were numerous milestones/phases that needed to be completed prior to moving into the next one. These included SEO and Data Audits, Discovery Phase, System Architecture, Design & Development, Testing & QA, and Training & Launch.

The Arctic Grey team worked very closely with us and our team every step of the way. They were instrumental in guiding the process, maintaining a tight schedule, gently nudging to get information needed and to stay on track, while always staying upbeat, positive and professional. If the project timeline got off course it was due to issues that we the stakeholder needed to fix. 
The Arctic Grey, Ltd. team was always open and willing to address any concerns that we had. They handled all of them beautifully as mentioned above.

Maddie, our project lead, was outstanding. She kept everything on track from day one. She maintained clear communication, held both teams accountable, and brought a positive, solutions-focused attitude throughout the entire process. Any roadblocks were handled quickly and professionally.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Arctic Grey, Ltd. could have done differently?

Communication with Arctic Grey was key. I was in contact with Maddie, Callie and the team on a daily basis which we did through a dedicated Slack channel. Unfortunately, I was the only person on my team tied to this channel. This made it more difficult to communicate what AG needed from my team. There was a lot of copy and paste or emailing to pass along tasks that needed to get done. 
However, Maddie and Callie did make every effort to make communicating quicker and easier.

My company's initial goals with Arctic Grey were to build a simple, elegant, attractive Shopify site that could sell our main products—most of them subscription-based, so necessitating Recharge—but that could evolve to encompass much, much more. For that, we needed a set of attractive templates (PDPs, etc.) and the technical manipulation to make them all play nicely together, on the front and back end.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most basic ones: Arctic Grey got the project done on time and to spec! Just as important, the delivered a site and a framework that my team can now take over and use as we want, without constantly needing to go back to them for tweaks and revisions.

Arctic Grey and our project manager, Thiara, were extremely responsive: We set up a Slack Connect between our Slack and theirs, and they were always available to trade messages and links and to discuss options and problems. It was also a great way to share links to Figma and Monday.com to show progress and solicit feedback.

For us—a small company with an internal team that likes to be very hands-on—Arctic Grey's bulk-hours system was ideal: We could manage many parts of the shop build-out ourselves, and then rely on Arctic Grey to handle efficiently whatever we could not. It made the whole thing achievable!

Our company is primarily editorial, not ecommerce, so figuring out how journalists want to present products was a bit of an adaptation for them, but not in the end too challenging.

We were especially impressed with our project manager, Truc Peter—she was organized, responsive, and upfront. If she didn’t have an immediate answer to a question, she was always honest about it and would follow up with a clear and accurate response after checking with her team.

Having one single point of contact throughout the entire project was also a huge convenience. I know that if we decide to take on additional projects with Arctic Grey, our point of contact will remain the same, which adds a level of consistency that we really value

They launched a completely new site in August of 2024 and our traffic and sales have increased significantly.

It would be helpful to understand their hours better once the site is launched. They give you a set amount post-launch, but we used those up quickly and still had bugs that needed to be resolved. I think it would be helpful to allow more hours for post-launch.

Since we are still in the process of working with Arctic Grey the success will continue to evolve. For now, I can highlight the fact that we have more than doubled our conversion rate since the launch of our website when compared to our previous website. The average order value has increased, and our bounce rate has decreased as well.
