Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO of LogiNet, an e-commerce web-developer and consultancy company that offers professional services for enterprises who focus on their digital sales activities.

For what projects/services did your company hire Apter, and what were your goals?

We started to develop an online personal loan application platform for a FinTech startup and needed to augment our internal team with an experienced software engineer due to the short timeframe of the project. Initially we needed Apter to help develop the backend consisting of Java based microservices.

Moving forward the client requested to have the platform deployed into production. Apter's practical knowledge in DevOps & Cloud computing was proven crucial to our success.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

A few of us have worked with Peter since 2013 under different companies and we remembered him as trustworthy and professional.

In the first 3 months the focus was on implementing the platform itself in close collaboration with our clients. After that a pretty intensive UAT phase followed when several change requests were delivered along with fixing bugs. In the meantime the production environment had to be planned and estimated considering inputs and requests from our clients. During the last phase the complete cloud infrastructure had to be established with monitoring, logging, all applications running, tested, prepared for auditing and documented.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

With their help we weren't just able to launch the platform in a production-grade AWS environment but it also conformed to the Hungarian National Bank's auditing criteria. All of this under a really tight schedule.

Everything went smoothly, team members worked mostly from home office and occasionally got together in our office. They had online daily standups, meetings / phone calls and communicated via emails, chats & Jira too.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their systemic thinking helped us not just deliver core application functionality but design with the operational aspects in mind. They are also great at collaboration and communicating different concepts towards our developers and clients as well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had a great time working with them, nothing negative.

I am the CTO of Scolvo, a mobile development platform company.

We wanted to develop an IOS mobile app for our system to serve as a client beside our Android and web clients. We have struggled with integrating our Java system to IOS app with J2ObjC. Our goal was to have a stable app.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have known Balázs from past projects. He is a highly skilled mobile professional.

We had a few meetings where we have discussed our goals and objectives. They have worked with our colleagues and within a few weeks, they have delivered the first round of the IOS app. After two months we have concluded the IOS project and we have been using and developing the base app ever since.

An IOS developer was participating as a lead developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Being a base app in our Scolvo product, we have been able to expand our partner network thanks to the IOS app.

We have been using Slack for our primary communication and Jira for project management, and all went very smooth.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their mobile app development skills were exceptional. They knew everything need for our complex J2ObjC environment.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have been very pleased and have not had anything that they could have done differently.
