We were facing difficulty figuring out our app prototype development and in filling a full time position for the same. Appson helped us provide an experienced mobile app developer who not only understood the project but also delivered it on time and as expected.

The deciding factor was based on a trial period of the team on a simple functionality of the mobile app. It was submitted before time and hence Appson was shortlisted over other vendors.

The scope of the work was to get a prototype developed for a healthcare app. As soon as the team was onboarded, we first appraised them about the requirements and also about the other web applications we had which were to interact and also provide data to the mobile application. After this was done, the requirements were captured and a timeline defined. A daily followup call used to be scheduled since this was a remote job. As the milestones were met, the app started taking shape. The development was perfectly done according to the set timelines, quality, and requirements.

There was one mobile app developer working on a flutter app.

We were able to roll out our prototype in the three months that Appson was onboard.

Team from Appson is very professional. They make sure that everything is communicated and all stakeholders are kept in the loop. A daily followup was scheduled with us and they used to have an internal meeting on a weekly basis as well so that the project blockages if any could be tracked and cleared.

The skillset of the developers and their commitment to the task assigned is commendable and I would go to them everytime I have a need for Flutter developers.

I work at u-planner, a software development company that caters to educational institutions. I’m a senior UX/UI designer, leading a team of five designers.

After the design phase of the project was approved, we hired Appson Technologies to help us build out interfaces for our AngularJS platform.

We wanted the team to develop interfaces for our AngularJS platform using high-quality code within a short turnaround time.

We heard of them through our networking contacts. We had tried different prospects, but they always lacked either experience in Angular, code quality, flexibility, response times, or availability. Appson Technologies was keen on all of those aspects.

Appson Technologies coded newly designed interfaces for our family of products built on AngularJS. We designed wireframes and use cases with our clients, and after they were approved, we handed the designs off to Appson Technologies for them to build. They had to rapidly understand our workflow to be able to work fast and reach short turnaround times. 

What was the team composition?

I maintained direct communication with Appson Technologies’ lead project manager. Depending on the workload, they assigned 2–3 developers to our project.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We have a single platform with many different modules that clients can buy depending on their needs. Appson Technologies worked with us on two modules that have high demand among colleges and universities. It was crucial to our success that these tools were well built on time. These products are always evolving, so the strong foundation Appson built has allowed the solutions to grow on top of their code.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We used online tickets on Jira to keep track of hours spent and Bitbucket as a version control system. We held daily Scrum meetings to clarify doubts and prioritize tasks. Despite having almost a six hour time difference between Chile and India, they were always available on Skype, Google Hangouts, and even WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Appson Technologies was always open and flexible to the ever-evolving methodology of Agile development. This gave us the space to adjust our interfaces according to what truly added value to our clients. Also, they are very accessible and respond quickly no matter what time it is.

Are there any areas for improvement?

In the beginning, there was a learning curve to developing on our platform. This meant that Appson had to rely too much on our input to solve problems. We needed them to be more proactive when coming up with solutions. Fortunately, they’ve worked on this, and they have certainly improved over time.

We got the resumes, our internal recruitment team screened the profiles, tests were given to the candidates. Once they cleared the tests, client interview was scheduled and immediate onboarding was initiated.

With the timely help of the MERN resources, we were able to release the product earlier than expected.

Although the developers were remote, they were quite proactive in responding to our Account Manager's requests for production related issues and synced up nicely to make sure the project is delivered on time.

They provided quality candidates at a cost-effective price and who were able to join immediately once selected.

Due to the tough timeframe of the project, there were initial hiccups but that was sorted out thanks to the clear communication channel established by Appson.

Apposon estimated 10 days to finish the task. The first version of the app was delivered after 3 weeks, the cropper was not usable and the login did not always work correctly.

Communication was very hard, we were always promissed updated for the next business days, but these never happend.
