Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Majorly, the scope of work revolved around improving the existing application and integrating new features for Probo's trading experience. Initial work went towards restructuring the application and bringing in architecture level experience into Probo's code-base, which ultimately helped in scaling and catering around 2.5M requests per minute with an average user session of about 5 minutes on the application. 

Some of the major deliveries were 

1. Network module that ultimately helped in managing HTTP requests from the application. 

2. Trading features like frequently changing real-time orderbook, revamping UI and establishing design language for UI components.

• Appstore ratings jumped drastically to 4.5 with positive comments.
• Appstore ranking was uplifted to top 30 in social media space.
• Re-architecture paved way for faster and stable development with very low issues reported.

• There have been no failures in financial trades resulting from iOS App in recent times

EasyEat is building QR based ordering solution for dine-in for the South-East Asian region. I am co-founder & CTO EasyEat.

We hired Appmetry for building our IOS and Android apps. Our goal was to release the first version of the app by December and then build features continuously on top of it based on user feedback and the feature pipeline we had.

Appmetry helped an EasyEat AI company develop a native mobile version of their app for iOS and Android. Appmetry created the iOS and Android apps from scratch. Appmetry were responsible for the core architecture, development, release and management of the apps.

Appmetry leads the complete app development with the internal team. Easy Eat AI aims to digitise complete restaurant ordering, delivery, dining, personalization and management software.

- They deliver timely - crash-free session of the app was above 99.5% - a few places they came up with better architecture than currently implemented architecture on the web version of the product

The team had daily calls, and code reviews. Collaborated over Slack and JIRA.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team is highly experienced in building mobile applications. Their communication, engineering management, go-getter attitude, and push for perfection were admirable. They were able to provide valuable inputs to the product and engineering process at all times which was a big positive for the company.

Their knowledge of architecture, code quality and building scalable apps is an asset. They are able to deliver high-quality output in a fast-paced environment with strict architecture adherence and writing clean, testable code. The organization has a very unique continuous learning culture to keep its employees updated with the latest developments, this clearly reflects the quality of the output.

The team is highly trustable to expand complete engineering services remotely. They lead the development upfront without any issues. Appmetry managed to tackle all complex problems with high-grade solutions. They’re fast, flexible, and easy to work with.

I am the co-founder and CTO of a technology startup working predominantly in the sports technology space. We have two products: a video conferencing solution designed to connect coaches and athletes over video call, and an app that allows mobile phones to capture the biomechanics of an athlete so we can understand objectively how they're moving using data.

What challenge were you trying to address with Appmetry Technologies?

We had a web app, and its backend works without issue, but we wanted to move on to mobile. We needed help to build out our mobile frontend solutions and develop our app on iOS and Android. Additionally, we needed support with our QA efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with just Ankish (Founder) working predominantly on our products and building out the iOS app. We introduced him to the team just like a regular, full-time employee working on the mobile application. We integrated him into all of our existing systems and development tracking tools. Every week we would meet two times on a call to discuss the milestones. 

Slowly, as the project grew, we hired an iOS engineer, an Android engineer, and a QA specialist from Appmetry. Currently, we still keep cadence, and on Mondays and Thursdays, we have engineering calls. We check all of our tasks in Clubhouse, which is our engineering tracking tool. We follow Scrum agile methodologies, making sure that we meet all those milestones. 

We didn't hire Appmetry to do a project. Rather, we hired them to support our continuing development efforts in the product, as if they are our full-time employees. Both products are on the market, and we just continue adding new features based on customer feedback.

What is the team composition?

We have worked closely with Ankish (Lead Engineer), a senior mobile app developer, a senior android developer, and a QA Specialist. Everyone’s always on call and stays online on Slack.

It would fall under the range of  $200,000–$900,000 with continued development and maintenance over the coming years.

We started working together in February 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

One thing that's great about Appmetry is that they're incredibly trustworthy. I feel like they're part of the team, and I don't see them as contractors. I know I can rely on them any time we have a problem — they will spend all the time they need, even working during weekends just to get it done. 

Appmetry’s team is as dedicated to the product as their counterparts here in the US. We have an excellent relationship, and Ankish is incredibly professional. We have a great experience working with Appmetry. 

How did Appmetry Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team is dedicated to the project, and they have great communication skills.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Of all contractors that I have worked with, Appmetry has the highest quality of work. We have a designer in-house, and they're able to exactly translate our designs into the code and app. They're very professional, and it's impressive how fast they can turn around our designs because they're fairly complex. I trust them to do their work and deliver.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I find it difficult to think of anything that they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as clear and thoughtful in specifying what you want. They can move very quickly if they have a clear direction, design, and specs on how things should work, and they can finish immediately. That said, one of the great things about Ankish is he could help with the brainstorming process as well because they have built so many different apps. So even if we didn't have clear designs, they were able to innovate, evolve, and interact with us.

We hired Appyog Technologies to provide engineering services for our data solution, which consists of an iOS app, an Android app, and a web backend.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Appyog Technologies is working on a solution that collects opinion data and generates real-time insights. They’ve put a lot of work into building our iOS app and have helped maintain and further develop our Android version. In addition, they’ve helped develop and maintain our server side with Node.js and Firebase. 

For the website, we have a login page that leads to a developer console, which is on the backend. They’ve worked on parts of that main site React.js as well as supplying test engineers for mobile web automation testing.

What is the team composition? 

We’ve worked with 7–8 individuals, including an iOS engineer, Android engineer, frontend React engineer, backend Node.js engineer, and QA resources. The team scales as necessary.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement started in July 2017, and we’ve been working with them since.

It’s been absolutely fantastic. The team has delivered on virtually everything we’ve ever asked them to do. They’re timely, easy to work with, and flexible. They have access to resources and engineers for different types of technologies, too.

They adhere to a Scrum approach and generally hit their deadlines — that’s part of the reason we’ve worked with them for so long.

They deliver higher-quality work than you’d typically get with an outsourced firm, so it feels more like an in-house firm. They’re also able to solve problems and do architectural design.

No, I haven’t had any problems with them at all.

I’m the Founder, CEO at Cipherboard Pte Ltd. We’re a software startup that operates primarily in the financial/blockchain space. We offer an iOS and Android keyboard that allows end users to transfer digital assets while having end-to-end encrypted conversations. The keyboards work across any app across both iOS and Android.

We already had an initial prototype for our iOS keyboard, but we needed a vendor to build the app from scratch for iOS and Android.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided Appyog Technologies with wireframes, and they worked on two native keyboard applications. They took the iOS prototype and scaled to a fully functional product. For Android, they fully developed the Android version from scratch, which was impressive. When users install our app, it replaces their third-party keyboard, allowing secure communication across any messaging channels or browser or any application. They continue to provide support.

On a previous project, I’d worked with the founder of Appyog Technologies on a freelance basis. Based on that experience, I trusted the company to complete this project.

How did Appyog Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

The developers manage themselves, scoping out the work on their own and delivering it on time. We communicate via Slack and WhatsApp. Their whole team is flexible and committed to our project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Given our project’s level of technical complexity, there was minimum knowledge and documentation present from other completed projects about the protocols, blockchain platforms, tokens supported etc. Appyog Technologies did a deep research on these and asked us numerous relevant questions and support as required to build a scalable solution. The manner in which the engineers grasped the complex technologies and provided suggestion to architect the product was impressive.

As they grow, they should hire an in-house UX/UI specialist.

We looked around for iOS programmers with sharp Swift skills and proven experience. Appyog met our criteria.
