I am the director of an on-demand grocery delivery platform. Our platform connects customers, supermarket retailers, and personal shoppers to enable a fast, convenient, and cost-efficient grocery delivery experience.

We engaged applickable to develop and integrate a range of technologies required to enable the operation of our grocery delivery marketplace platform. This included two mobile apps - an on-demand e-commerce app and an order fulfilment app used by personal shoppers. This required the development and cross integration of unique payment processing and fintech systems through multiple APIs.

We worked directly with Ken, although made occasional contact with his team members.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our key metric has been the feedback from large-scale supermarket retailers we wish to partner with to offer cost-efficient and convenient grocery delivery services. The response has been highly encouraging and they shared their enthusiasm for our forward-thinking system designs and fintech. We continue to see upward-right trending downloads.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was frequent with weekly video calls to update on development progress and address any problems that arose. We used Trello to communicate feature development status from 'idea' to 'released'.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We're impressed by the "can do" attitude applickable brings to the table. We were faced with a range of issues and challenges in the development process, but the team was always able to tackle them as they arose. The flexibility was fantastic and nothing seemed too complicated or hard to solve.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to launch the app on time, which is somewhat unheard of. It launched for our regional government as a pilot program. The usability and its look and feel have been praised by all users; there are no bugs or flaws in the app.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was terrific. We used Trello for task management and communication was great.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They’re always extremely professional, reliable, and thorough. It's very easy to rely on the quality of their work and to know that nothing needs to be micromanaged. We really enjoy working professionals of their caliber.

No, everything was great. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

In our initial strategic planning phase, our stakeholders highlighted several focus areas to improve member services. Developing new mobile app features could meet these needs and enhance the member experience. I worked closely with Ken (App Developer & Founder, applickable) from the project’s start. Together, we scoped high-level features in multiple design iterations. We collaboratively planned design tasks, prioritization, and delivery roadmaps. applickable then delivered the final products, which include a meeting room booking app.

The finished features arrived within four weeks. applickable provides ongoing support as needed. The team’s in-depth experience allows them to find multiple solutions to a problem and convey them quickly.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We use planning tools to keep track of progress and backlog priorities. We also have component libraries and tools like Zeplin to conduct feedback between our teams. Our communication overall is highly productive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

applickable is always willing to take time to explain the development process and progress as needed. We find this helpful when we’re requesting budgets to develop critical features.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Given the team’s small size, applickable may struggle on a more complicated project with a higher work volume.

I'm the CTO at a virtual car dealership. We buy and sell cars and offer car subscriptions.

We needed a mobile app to engage with our subscription customers. We wanted customers to be able to monitor and manage their subscription and dealings with us.

We met applickable through a startup accelerator program. We saw their startup product and decided to engage them.

Once we chose applickable, we had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals. Within one week, we provided mockups and designs for the iOS and Android apps. applickable helped us refine our UI/UX. After a few iterations and discussions with our product team, we finalized the design and provided feedback. 

They created a development roadmap and integrated the solution with our server systems through API. applickable always checked with us and provided UI/UX feedback to ensure that the project met our objectives.

What was the team composition?

Throughout the project, we dealt with one primary point of contact. Our internal team included our CTO, CDO, and two other developers who worked on API integration.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within the project timeframe, we completed and launched the first version of our mobile app. It's been successful. We're working on the next version now.

We're using a few process systems, including Jira, Trello, and Postman for API integration and work tracking.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I'm impressed by their knowledge and experience around mobile app development, UI/UX design, data capture, and analytics and insights. We've learned much more than we thought possible, and we appreciate their patience and thoughtfulness.

We've worked with other agencies, but this experience is particularly collaborative and positive. I will certainly engage them again for all our future mobile app needs.
