As per our goal, they delivered true to our needs and scope by collaborating tightly every step of the way. At  completion, they delivered the 2.5 minute impact video with associated files we required to make our own changes for the various geographies we were targeting. No surprises.

Delivery of a polished, campaign-ready video aligned with Kickstarter requirements and approved by stakeholders. The video was designed to drive email sign-ups, VIP pre-launch conversions, and crowdfunding pledges, with success measured through engagement and conversion performance post-launch.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We were advised of the steps in their process upfront so we knew what to expect. They delivered on time as per their forecast and/or liaising with us since we had to supply them with the assets they needed to do their job. We always felt we were consulted for key decisions and most importantly, they helped with their reasons for a certain direction they took in the creative process. Sometimes we opted for their direction, sometimes we provided our own which they carried out. That way, we learned from their creative experts and they learned from us how and why we wanted a certain approach.

The culture of the team was such that we felt they authentically cared about our feedback. So it was an honest partnership not impacted adversely by egos or a contract. I would recommend them for any animation work because of the way they iterate towards the customer's goal.

To help bring some of the eLearning content to life in a clear and concise manner. The animation is to be no more than 3 minutes long (with the script and voiceover provided by the client) and like the idea of a light-hearted creative concept such as hand-drawn pictures that are sketched as the voiceover speaks, i.e. whiteboard style.

Successful delivery of the final video aligned with the approved brief and stakeholder expectations.

The Animation Co. took the lead from the get-go with project management. They provided an outline of project delivery with anticipated timeframes, barriers to meeting these (being client-driven), and a shared folder link with clear instructions on the assets they needed from us in order to begin the project. The Animation Co. met every single deadline and kept us informed of their timing when between deadlines. They were always receptive to our feedback for tweaks, adding how they thought the changes would value-add to our final product.

The Animation Co. kept the process simple for us. It was clear they are experts in this field so we had complete piece of mind that our vision was in safe hands, and we weren't wrong. They were professional, efficient, and competitively priced.

Honestly? No. Our experience with The Animation Co. from start to finish was 5++ stars, we have no constructive criticism.

We engaged The Animation Co to produce a 90 second "How It Works" animated explainer video for our product, the Japan Rail Pass. The goal was to clearly and engagingly walk users through the process of purchasing and using the pass, helping to simplify what can often be a confusing topic for international travelers.

The scope included:

Concept development and scriptwriting based on our product.
Storyboarding and visual direction aligned with our brand guidelines
Full animation production including custom illustrations and motion design
Voiceover casting and recording (in Australian English)
Background music and sound design
Final delivery in multiple formats optimized for web and social media use

The Animation Co managed the entire creative process from ideation to final delivery. The end result was an informative and on-brand explainer video that we present on our website.

Ultimately we wanted to see higher engagement with the product, stronger brand trust, but most importanlty we want to see an uplift in conversions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What really stood out about The Animation Co was how easy they made the whole process. They had a great mix of creativity and organization, so we always felt like the project was in good hands.

The final video turned out even better than we expected. It simplifed a confusing product, into something that viewers could understand within 90 seconds. We've started working with only local companies as we find they understand the Australian audiences better.
