Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They were late on almost everything. They missed deadlines and asked for more time. The made somany editing and formatting mistakes, I had to request do-overs or do them myself. As deadlines came and went, they switched members of the production teams and then asked for more time. Reasponses were always upbeat and positive; the promised results were never achieved.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It is run by amateurs or crooks. They were incompetent and seemed to rely on AI for most of their written materials.  I found nothing impressive about this company other than their nerve.

They only achievement was the publishing of the online book, but only after serious mistakes that required several restarts. They did nothing that I couldn't do myself. Since they are not honest, it is impossible to recommend improvement.

We have an application called Basecamp. In it, they created the database and added a few phone numbers so that I could call them whenever I needed something.

I’ve recently sent my book’s manuscript to AMZ Pro Hub. Now, they’re in charge of editing it and eventually publishing it. As English isn’t my first language, they’re also helping me correct grammatical mistakes.

Additionally, AMZ Pro Hub is helping me with the cover design. For the design portion, I told them to add clouds because they have something to do with the title, and I also told them that a black-and-white design would be nice. However, we discussed the idea, and they sent me two versions of the cover. Ultimately, I ended up choosing the colored one, following their advice.

Given that it’s still early into our engagement, I don’t know if AMZ Pro Hub will help me with marketing after my book is published. Still, I believe those services are part of their package. Initially, we discussed that they would do two advertisement campaigns for my book, but I don’t know how that process will be.

I always wanted to become a published writer, so in the summer of 2022, I decided to do something about it. Thus, I went online and searched for how to publish a book. Where I live, it’s very difficult to publish a book, especially for me because I was underage.

Still, I found AMZ Pro Hub, read through their website, and contacted them. They told me that age didn’t matter in publishing a book, so I decided to move forward with the project.

How much have you invested with them?

From the start, I agreed to pay for their services. Thus far, I’ve paid them around $140, which is just half of the total proposal.

We started working together around July 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

AMZ Pro Hub’s involvement in the project has been very minimal because I just recently sent them the manuscript. Thus, they’re still checking it. However, working with them has given me confidence in my work. Before working with them, I doubted myself and my book because English is not my first language. However, they’re now working on editing it, and I think it’ll go well. Additionally, I really like the cover they’ve designed for my book, so I think that it will be the final cover.

How did AMZ Pro Hub perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve only dealt with two teammates from AMZ Pro Hub, and both of them are great — I really like talking with them. I first reached out to them when I started writing my book. Throughout my writing process, they frequently texted me to see how my progress was going, which I really appreciated.

We use Basecamp to collaborate. On there, I can upload all my book information. Additionally, AMZ Pro Hub has provided me with a few phone numbers so I can reach out to them whenever I need something.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the most amazing parts of working with AMZ Pro Hub is that they don’t care that this is the first book that I’ll publish. I always wanted to publish a book, but others kept telling me that I wasn’t able to do so because I was underage. When AMZ Pro Hub told me that they could help me publish my book no matter my age, I was pleasantly surprised.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if AMZ Pro Hub improved their communication. I would like to get feedback from them faster and more frequently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you really want to publish a book, you should put in the effort and do it. Additionally, write your book before starting your engagement with AMZ Pro Hub. In retrospect, I should have done that.

I work with AMZ Pro Hub to publish the books I’ve written.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AMZ Pro Hub helps me publish my books. For every project, I first come to them with a manuscript, and we discuss how to bring it to life, defining fees and timelines to do so. Then, they take that manuscript, format it, and edit it. Additionally, AMZ Pro Hub’s design team helps me design the cover and an appropriate dust cover. Ultimately, they help me publish the book on Amazon, Google, and Barnes and Noble.

To create the cover designs, I simply give AMZ Pro Hub’s designers a synopsis of the book, and they run with it. Then, we iterate on the design to make changes until I’m happy with the end design and how it represents what I wrote.

Thus far, I’ve worked with AMZ Pro Hub on four manuscripts. The first manuscript was 80,000 words, and it has already been published. The second book is already edited but is yet to be published. AMZ Pro Hub is in the middle of editing the third manuscript, and I’m still finishing the fourth one.

In addition to their publishing services, AMZ Pro Hub has also helped me develop a marketing plan for those books. This plan has included developing a website dedicated to my books, as well as an Instagram account. The website currently includes my bio, the first book’s cover, and a blurb about the book. On this site, people can also leave reviews.

AMZ Pro Hub has also helped me launch a podcast. Moreover, they’re currently designing a poster with a caption and a little blurb about the story for my first book to post on Instagram.

How did you come to work with AMZ Pro Hub?

I was referred to them by my son and my daughter-in-law. My son has written a couple of children’s books, so he was talking to me about the process and the team that had been helping him release his books through online venues. He also gave me AMZ Pro Hub’s number, so I called them. The marketing manager asked me how big my manuscript was and what my objectives were. Then, they gave me a fee, and we took it from there.

How much have you invested with them?

For my first book, I pay AMZ Pro Hub around $5,500. I’ve also paid them around $2,750 for the second book, and I’ve already negotiated the third and fourth books, for which I’ll pay around $5,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

I sent AMZ Pro Hub my first manuscript at the end of April 2022, and they released my book in September 2022. Then, I sent them a second manuscript, which they finished editing in February 2023. That book will be released around March 2023. Therefore, our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

AMZ Pro Hub has met my expectations. Their work has been excellent, and they’ve certainly held up their end of the bargain in getting my books out there. Although it’s still my responsibility to self-promote, they’ve done a lot more than what a small publishing company would have done, so I’m very pleased with their services.

Moreover, all the comments on my first book are excellent. My sales are not great, but that’s not up to AMZ Pro Hub. There are so many books out there that making money out of publishing books is a matter of luck. I’ve written around 20 different manuscripts, and my purpose for this engagement is to bring those manuscripts to life. Certainly, AMZ Pro Hub is helping me with that goal.

How did AMZ Pro Hub perform from a project management standpoint?

My collaboration with AMZ Pro Hub has been smooth sailing from the start; it has been a highly collaborative process. For my first book, AMZ Pro Hub nailed the cover design on the first attempt — everything about it was perfect. However, for my second book, we iterated on the cover design 5–6 times, each time getting closer and closer until it was perfect for what I had written.

Moreover, we’ve constantly made edits to the content throughout the process. Still, AMZ Pro Hub has been very open to those changes, and there has never been a point where they tell me that there have been enough changes; they simply want to ensure I’m satisfied with the result.

On top of that, AMZ Pro Hub’s timeframes are fine, and they’ve met their deadlines. When publishing through a traditional publishing house, taking a manuscript and bringing it into a finished book in the market can take up to a year. However, AMZ Pro Hub takes approximately six months. Usually, I’m the one that needs to catch up with their work. Sometimes, their editors send me something to review, and I work as fast as I can so that they can continue doing their job.

We communicate via email, text messages, and phone calls, and we use Basecamp to collaborate. AMZ Pro Hub is very responsive; if I send them a message through Basecamp, I get a response from the project manager within an hour. Additionally, I can call my marketing manager whenever I want and get a response.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m very pleased with everything AMZ Pro Hub has done. They’ve delivered everything they’ve promised. Moreover, AMZ Pro Hub’s prices are beyond reasonable. Hiring an editor to edit an 80,000 manuscript can cost up to $8,000–$9,000. However, I’ve paid around $13,000 for four books, including cover design and marketing. No other editor would provide all those services for that price.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no constructive feedback for AMZ Pro Hub — they’ve done a great job.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be upbeat and positive when working with AMZ Pro Hub. They’ll do a great job for you, but you need to bring a positive and healthy attitude to the project. Book editing is a highly iterative job, so if you bring a negative attitude, you’ll have a negative experience. I’ve brought positivity into the project, and it has returned tenfold.

The manuscripts were essentially completed, and AMZ Pro Hub came back with a proposal to publish. They’ve been hired to publish four of my books and create marking content and artwork. AMZ Pro Hub has also created a website and video ads.

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

AMZ Pro Hub was supposed to publish the content and ads for the marketing, but I ended up writing a lot of it myself because they didn’t seem to understand the content of my book series. We also had some early problems regarding the page size, and I had to do all the formatting myself to fit their page size requirements and publishing system. It took us a few weeks to figure this out. 

I was hoping to get the first book published by the holiday season, but due to many factors, this did not happen. AMZ Pro Hub also created a website, but I had to make many corrections because they were making simple mistakes. 

How did AMZ Pro Hub address the challenges that arose?

We had a few technological issues at the beginning of the engagement, but we’ve sorted them out since then. AMZ Pro Hub also wanted me to set up accounts with multiple companies, but I had no experience with that and didn’t have the tools to make it happen right away. It took about a month to get some of these problems sorted, and it would have been much faster if they had set up these accounts for me as other publishers have done. 

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

I’ve been getting updates that money is starting to trickle in from online publishing sites. I haven’t seen any of it yet, but I’ve gotten statements saying that only $100 has been generated. The books just hit the market, though, and we’re hoping to see an increase as time goes on. 

How was project management handled?

There has been no transparency in terms of project management. Everything has been a mystery, and AMZ Pro Hub hasn’t laid out any milestones or scheduling to let me know what’s going on. 

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

They’ve created the book's front cover, which I’ve been really pleased with, and I enjoy working with my project manager. I’ve also been happy with the artwork and the visuals they’re using for the video ads. 

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Do research to figure out what the online publisher you’re working with offers so that you’re not surprised by the process. AMZ Pro Hub's problems are easily solvable, they just need to be addressed.

They’ve developed the website from scratch. AMZ Pro Hub just took words from my book, a description of the book, and a picture of me, and they built the site from there. I created a hosting site and sent them the credentials to start.

Project management is close to perfect. I live in Texas, and they’re out in California, so there’s a time difference. However, they’re always quick to respond. They answer me as soon as they receive my message.

We communicate through Basecamp 94% of the time. We can also call them.

Their communication is outstanding. Since it was my first time publishing, I had many questions. AMZ Pro Hub has answered every question I’ve thrown at them and put my mind at ease.

No, there isn’t anything to improve. If AMZ Pro Hub doesn’t have an answer for me, they honestly tell me that they don’t know. Then, they get back with the answer.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AMZ Pro Hub has updated my distribution model for the four children’s books I’ve written. I had published hard copies of my books using Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) and they converted the manuscripts, resized my artwork, and published them on Amazon Kindle, as well as other worldwide platforms.

They've identified countries where I should market my books, based on the approximate number of English language speakers in those countries. They've recommended releasing my books as audiobooks because audiobook sales have increased recently. I've completed questionnaires about potential music, voice artists, and ads to help them understood how to create and market each audiobook. They've found a voiceover artist, which I've approved.

They’re also designing and developing my website from scratch, which they’ll maintain and add content to on a weekly basis for one year. I’ve told them I want the website to be short and playful, with lots of graphics, since it's targeted toward young children and parents of young children.

They’re planning to send a press release announcing my books to popular libraries throughout the US. They’ll also post ads on major global publishing platforms promoting my books.

AMZ Pro Hub has recently been published on Amazon Kindle. Two audiobooks are finished and the other two are almost done. They’ve also released the books on other platforms that have a higher expected return for me. The voiceover artist they found fits my stories well. Her voice is expressive; the audiobooks are magical and relaxing to listen to. 

How did AMZ Pro Hub perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re good listeners; they keep me informed on their progress and let me know what they need from me to create the best product. They’ve communicated with me a couple of times a day via phone calls and texts. We’ve also used Basecamp to send messages and feedback back and forth and view the pages I’ve sent them. AMZ Pro Hub is very professional. They’ve moved heaven and earth to get everything finished.

AMZ Pro Hub has educated me on options I’ve never thought of; I’ve done some marketing but they’ve helped me take it to another level.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AMZ Pro Hub manages my book’s publishing, website development, and social media marketing strategy. First, they reviewed my manuscript and handled the editing, proofreading, and formatting to meet international publishing standards. AMZ Pro Hub has also designed the book’s cover following the idea I gave them. 

From there, AMZ Pro Hub will publish my book on Amazon in Kindle format. Additionally to the e-book, AMZ Pro Hub will create a paperback and hard copy and manage the creation of the international standard book number (ISBN) bar code. 

I’ve asked AMZ Pro Hub to add more publishing companies, so the book will also be published on Google Books, Barnes & Noble, and IngramSpark. AMZ Pro Hub will also feature a post on the New York Daily News.

Moreover, AMZ Pro Hub provides marketing consultancy. They’ve developed my website and are working on its SEO strategy. AMZ Pro Hub is also working on my social media marketing strategy. I created my social media accounts, and AMZ Pro Hub is placing ads and working on a content calendar.

I researched publishers online and came across AMZ Pro Hub’s website. A chat box came up, and I told them about my project. I had researched other publishing companies, and AMZ Pro Hub offered the most reasonable cost and profit margins.

My engagement with AMZ Pro Hub started in December 2022, and it’s ongoing. We have a two-year contract.

Moreover, looking back at when we started and where we are today, I’m impressed with AMZ Pro Hub’s timeline. We even went through the holiday season, and this didn’t affect their schedule.

AMZ Pro Hub’s project management is great. They’re right on target with the book’s publication and wanted to release it already, but I’m the one who put it on hold. AMZ Pro Hub has been very patient with me. 

Moreover, they’ve given me access to their Basecamp portal, and this has been very helpful because I get email notifications when there’s an update, and I can track AMZ Pro Hub’s progress. 

I have ongoing communication with AMZ Pro Hub through phone calls. I have their project manager’s direct contact and reach them whenever I have a question.

The only thing AMZ Pro Hub can improve is ensuring that the references align with the content during the editing process.

I’d encourage any author to choose AMZ Pro Hub. Authors should research different publishing companies because they’ll find out that AMZ Pro Hub offers the best deals.
