I’m the CEO of an IT consulting company. We consult project work, project and module realization, implementation, and system integration for the finance, insurance, and logistics industries.

We needed to create defined pieces of software.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We tasked Amida IT with creating an induction platform for an industrial plant for drivers and visitors. The app had a video survey and results evaluation to allow users to be admitted on company grounds. We gave them the specifications and guided them toward the goal. It was a greenfield project done in Angular and C# backend, all running in Azure. They also did the questionnaires and all of the content management part of the app. Currently, they offer maintenance and hosting services.

Visitors can receive a QR code or link via email before visiting the plant, or it’s possible to do it on-site. The front desk staff hands out the QR codes, which can be scanned with mobile devices or desktops to gain access to the induction platform. Users can select a role for themselves and get specifically designed induction content delivered to them on their devices.

We worked with eight teammates from their side; they had two architects and different levels of engineers.

How did you come to work with Amida IT-Services GmbH?

I met the owner on a customer site in Munich. We worked together on a different project, so I knew how efficiently the CEO worked.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent close to $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2019. We currently don't have an active project together, but the partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They followed the book and delivered a modern piece of software that runs efficiently and is highly maintainable. We’ve been able to do a couple of jobs, so we’ve had a higher revenue thanks to them. Moreover, we’ve gained a competitive advantage by using technologies such as Azure. Before, we were mostly focused on the backend and integration. Through Amida IT, we’ve unlocked projects for a particular UI component.

How did Amida IT-Services GmbH perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time, responded to our needs, and stayed on budget. The team was transparent; they got back to us if something didn’t make sense to them. Also, they wouldn’t implement anything that wasn’t discussed or fully understood. All in all, we never had problems with development.

Communication was mainly through virtual calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We can always depend on them. Amida IT is always there; if they take on a task, they’ll deliver.

We had an e-shop problem and needed help to build our web application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Amida IT-Services GmbH has built a web application where a call center agent can order a product for the customer. They’ve created the application from scratch with the help of the documentation that we provided for them in C# and Angular.

We have a booking system for the agents. For the team leaders, we have a dashboard where they can check how many orders a person has created. It has a front page, a back page, and a reporting page.

Later on, we had an issue with the old product; the new product wasn’t compatible. They’ve built new systems where all products could be compatible.

We’re in contact with three team members: the two CEOs and a product owner.

How did you come to work with Amida IT-Services GmbH?

I was checking out programming companies in the Berlin and Leipzig areas. I found their page in the Leipzig area and contacted them. We discussed what we needed, and they were glad to come on board.

In total, we’ve spent approximately between €250,000–€300,000 (approximately $245,000–$294,000 USD).

What is the status of the engagement?

We began working together in April 2013 and are still collaborating with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The average handling time was reduced by almost 99%, from around seven minutes to seven seconds. We also have more orders now. We have about 50,000 orders in a month through the system. Almost 8,000 people access the system compared to the 200 who did before.

How did Amida IT-Services GmbH perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great at sticking with the schedule and delivering tasks on time. They’re flexible with the working hours and prompt with every task.

Our primary modes of communication are emails, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They go the extra mile, working beyond hours and even on weekends.

We’ve asked them to work on several areas, and they’ve done that.

Trust them to deliver what you asked them to. Also, provide the necessary documentation to run the project smoothly.

We’re the technical customer care for Vodafone; our call center is in Berlin. I’m the works control chairman and support manager for software development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Amida IT-Services GmbH?

We needed to develop a web application where a call agent could order a product for a customer. The challenge was that the agent had to ensure that the old and new products were compatible. Most of the products weren’t, so they were rejected by the system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve built a new system with Amida IT-Services GmbH. They’ve developed the app from scratch on Entity Framework and C#. The frontend uses the latest version of Angular. In the beginning, we built it on Windows Server, but now it’s on Windows Server 21 or 22; this is the IIS on Microsoft.

The system ensures compatibility, and the fulfillment of orders is automatic.

I’m in direct contact with the project manager, the company’s owner, and the CEO. The owner is pretty impressive.

The app has improved our efficiency; it has reduced the average handling time by almost 99%, from around six minutes to a few seconds. Now, the system does bookings automatically. Additionally, Amida IT-Services GmbH has created a dashboard that team leaders can use to track work by the call agents.

We also have more orders through the web application. We now get about 50,000 orders per month. Initially, the system was used by 200 people, but we’ve grown to 8,000 users.

How did Amida IT-Services GmbH perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet all deadlines and stay within budget. We use an agile methodology to track progress. Communication was initially through emails and Skype; we then moved to Microsoft Teams. We also started using Jira for project management, but it didn’t work well for us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we tell them to do something, they suggest new ideas to improve the final product. Their knowledge is outstanding.
