We wanted to develop e-Commerce hybrid cross platform mobile app. We hired Ameotech to design and build the app from scratch.

We searched Ameotech on one of online listening website. Ameotech was among top 5 companies we shortlisted. We finalized ameotech after talking with there existing clients.

Ameotech built this Hybrid App from scratch. It was a project where team involved in determining the list of all the project goals, tasks, deliverables, deadlines and budgets as a part of the planning process. Team used technologies like .Net Core, Angular 9, Ionic Cross Platform, Cordova, Entity framework and SQL server for development. Support and maintenance is also done by the team when it requires.

A project manager was assigned to primary contact for us. Apart from project manager there was Team lead, couple of dev resources, designer and QA.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Below are the few factors where Ameotech performed a great job: Ameotech team is always stick to timelines. Whenever it comes to deliver the project sprint within a limited time and certain budget the team has utilized the proper time that decrease the project costs and eventually not lead to billing loss.

Also team is always able to maintain the quality of delivery. They always able to meet the client expectations from the very start and especially their project management team always assesses and spearheads the team’s performance towards the desired project goals.

From project management point of view their project management team is always monitors the progress and identified the roadblocks. They have used the phased project management approach which we think is the best choice for such a big and complex project like ours that need to be executed in stages due to external project constraints.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There development and project management team is highly impressive when it comes to deliver the project sprints in a timeline. During the whole project development they were always dedicated and used spike solutions to solve challenging technical, architectural, and design problems.

Team is always regular and is very clear communicators which I think is another very important part for the successful completion of this project. We used Slack, Skype and Zoom calls for the entire development.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They did a great job in terms of project delivery, costing, management, communication, quality and timeline. Well at my side I don’t think they need to improve themselves.

We wanted to build a financial management mobile application for one of our client in USA. where customers can create an investment account with identified financial goals.

We found Ameotech from an online outsourcing website.

Ameotech built this financial mobile application from the very start. Their management team is highly involved in planning a project, creating schedule and timeline, executing each phase, managing the budget, troubleshoot and maintenance. Technologies used for the development MVC, Microservices, .Net, API, Angular 10+, Ionic, MySQL, Database. The team is still helping in maintenance of the project.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Since starting 6-7 team members were working on this project that includes UI developers, full stack developers, backend developers and team leads. By the time at the final stage of the project we reduced the team size to 2 people.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Ameotech team not only maintains the quality of delivery but also able to deliver it effectively. They know how to breakdown processes into actionable parts that can be easily implements over time. Also they are highly impressive in resourcing the right candidates which are fit for the tasks. A proper resource plan is another key part for the succession of any project where Ameotech team management has proved why they deserved to be the best service provider.

The project management was awesome, They were very responsive that includes daily status report and we had regular meetings over Skype, Zoom, Google meet. We used Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Well Ameotech development team masters the concept of “team swarming”. In this method of working a team works on just a few tasks at a time, preferably even task at a time. Each task is finished as quickly as possible by having many people work on it together, rather than having a series of handoffs. This is the method they were using and we are highly impresseds by development team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We travelled a great journey together and expecting many more to come. Human beings can’t be productive all day long. They need time to relax have a chat at the coffee machine or play football. What I suggest that don’t work like machine and have some time for fun

The Ameotech engineering team was responsible for the coding of end-client solutions for retail merchandising and international sourcing.

At it's peak, the team comprised over 30 developers, 5 development leads and 3 project managers, working in partnership with an in-country QA team and a team of US-based solution architects.

The timely delivery of new functionality has been recognized by the end-client as a key factor driving increased throughput and accuracy of business transactions.

We've had great success with Ameotech's collaborative, open management style. All modes of communication---Zoom, Teams, Slack, Jira, etc.---have worked well.

Integrity across the board.

Their software engineering services have been uniformly excellent.

Ameotech provides ongoing development services for us. We divide large projects into several tasks, which we send to them. Then, they complete various tasks using several technologies, such as .NET, C#, Python, JavaScript, Angular, and others.

Our main points of contact are their project managers and team leaders. However, roughly 60 people are working on the project.

We found Ameotech on Upwork. They were the most competent among the candidates we interviewed.

We’ve spent around $700,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in January 2012, and the engagement is ongoing.

Ameotech’s quality of work and ability to follow our process are great. They work in a timely manner, and our clients are quite happy with the products that we deliver to them.

Ameotech is extremely reliable; we can trust them to complete any tasks given to them.

They have good developers, but they could use more leaders. To be fair, this is an industry-wide issue. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be specific about your requirements and assign a good lead to the Ameotech team. On top of that, provide thorough feedback to get the best out of the engagement.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ameotech Informatics?

We wanted to build a custom web application for one of our clients.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ameotech built a completely new web application for us. It was a turnkey software project, so we had to scope it out together.

The team has been involved with us all the way, from gathering our client’s requirements, creating technical architecture, scoping out the work, and developing the entire project. 

As for technology, Ameotech used .NET and AngularJS on the UI side. The team still provides app support.

What is the team composition?

The team’s size has varied during the different stages of the project. We’ve worked with 10–15 people, including full stack developers, UI designers, and team leads.

How did you come to work with Ameotech Informatics?

We found Ameotech through a reference from another client they’d done work for. 

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent more than $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

There are three metrics we use to measure the success of the project. One of the metrics is on-time delivery, and Ameotech has met all the timelines they’ve promised. 

Secondly, the client must be able to use the software regularly without any serious issues or failures; Ameotech’s work scores very high on this metric. 

Finally, when we do find minor issues, Ameotech’s support team has a quick turnaround time for results. 

How did Ameotech Informatics perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve always been able to meet the timelines they’ve committed to. In terms of budget, we cross-checked their proposal, and they’ve successfully met what they told us, too.

Any formal communication is handled via email, discussions happen through Zoom calls, and we handle clarifications or minor details through Slack and Microsoft Teams. Additionally, our client has a proprietary intranet where we keep track of the status of the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate the quality of the people Ameotech assigned to our project; they have very high-quality teammates with a lot of expertise. One of the challenges we’d had working with offshore partners in the past had been the time it took to get people ramped up, which isn’t an issue with Ameotech.

Their team has done a good job understanding what we need and has staffed our project well. Ameotech has also held on to their resources throughout the project; we’ve had a very low turnover rate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they need to improve; this has been a fairly smooth project for us. 

The one piece of advice I would give the Ameotech team is being frank about what’s not feasible or achievable. They’re very eager and enthusiastic to do the work and want to say yes and overcome. I’ve had to watch over them a few times to make sure that doesn’t happen. As a result, we haven’t really had that situation.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

What’s worked really well for us has been having very thorough design sessions early on in the project, even as we were staffing people. 

From a staffing perspective, we spent a lot of time with Ameotech’s management team to find the right resources, and we got them involved in all of the technical design and architecture of the app. 

My advice for working with Ameotech is to get them involved with the design right from the beginning instead of just giving them a set of requirements to do the work.

We needed multiple development teams for our couple of clients.

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

We tried multiple freelancers but were not happy with the results. So, decide to go with the agency. We were introduced to Ameotech by a friend who had used their service for one of his projects, and they deliver a quality product on time and within budget.

Ameotech provides us with multiple resources in different tech stacks. Currently, we are using their multiple teams in web and mobile developments

We were introduced to Ameotech by a friend who had used their services for his project and was very happy with the deliverable. We shared the project scope with Ameotech and they come back with an estimate and timeline. First, we did an MVP after that full project.

Ameotech's quality of work and capability to deliver the tasks on time is the key factor for us. Our clients are happy with the deliverables.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They have assigned a dedicated project manager to our project. We have daily zoom meetings and use Trello for projects.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are extremely reliable and competent.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was some communication issue initially but they solve that by providing a dedicated project manager for our project.

I'm a broker at a real estate company. My primary job is helping clients to buy and sell properties.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ameotech Informatics?

We wanted to create a portal where we could find deals, how the appreciation is going with those deals, and where clients could evaluate our work — all this to automate our processes.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started by giving Ameotech Informatics an idea of what the problem was. We then had a couple of meetings to find what we wanted and what we could achieve with our budget. They created the portal for us from scratch after doing some weekly demos.

What is the team composition?

We worked with four people from their team, including a project manager that kept us updated throughout the engagement. At some point, things got slow, so they added another person to work on the product.

They were referred to us by someone who already had the same product. After some conversations, analysis, and pricing comparison, we settled on Ameotech Informatics.

We spent $40,000–$45,000 with them.

We worked together from February–July 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were struggling with our blind bids, our documents organization, and customer communication, but Ameotech Informatics covered every problem with a scalable product that we can enhance in the future.

How did Ameotech Informatics perform from a project management standpoint?

They were able to complete the project earlier than projected — they told us it could take six months to get the app, but they delivered it in four. They were also excellent with communication and kept us updated about everything — it was easy to reach out to them whenever we had concerns because they'd quickly respond. In terms of tools, we used Zoom, Email, Slack, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were affordable and able to get the app within budget. They were also transparent, and we got more confidence when they showed us the demos.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there is anything they can improve at this moment.

Any advice for potential customers?

Explain to them the scope of your project and the timeline in which you want to accomplish your task. Also, trust them to deliver because they're good at what they do.
