We hired Also Creative to develop our company's website and provide supplemental consultation for our brand design.

What were your goals for this project?

Complete functioning beta version of website by September 17, 2019. Website was conceived to be simple in form and function, easy to update, visually appealing, and functional across all platforms.

How did you select this vendor?

We considered other options at the beginning, including off-shore and in-house development. We chose Also Creative because they're small yet experienced, and are able to scale for specialty services, and we communicate directly with the owner / designer. Company's reputation was solid and quality of work relative to cost was exceptional.

Website design (framework, mapping, back-end services, email integration, DNS services and hosting, etc.) and site development. They worked with us during strategy sessions and helped us develop a site map that allowed the website to come to life.

What was the team composition?

Worked directly with the owner, Justin. Not sure if he delegated aspects to other team members / subcontractors). But we communicated directly with him from beginning to end.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Website was a success and all aspects functioned as good, if not better, than intended. Project is designed to allow us to modify content as needed. Website has received positive reviews and was laid out in a way that's visually attractive and conveys a strong reputation.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Because we're local we hosted most meetings in person with follow up communication via phone and email. Worked directly with the company owner. Communication and workflow was very effective, especially given the size of our organizations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Also Creative is nimble and able to adjust rapidly—we really liked that. They bring exceptional talent and have a strong network of developers to assist with more specialized services. Also appreciated the company being able to convey technical information in a way that non-technical clients can understand.

Based on this project there's nothing we can think of.

I am the lead organizer for a community nonprofit that organizes an annual community wide event.I manage the oversight of all components of the event.

For what projects/services did your company hire Also Creative Inc.?

We hired them to develop a new website to better communicate the many components of our event. The website also functions as a central point for organizers, incorporating signup and contact functionality.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals were to develop a website that would: - communicate information clearly with visiting audiences - allow those audiences to sign-up more a variety of events and activities - be a clear channel for customer service and communication - be responsive to mobile devices As a bonus, I did not have to see any of the technical details of building this. Also creative asked me questions and by the end of it, we had a website! So I have no idea of coding language was used, or any technical detail like that.

How did you select this vendor?

They were recommended to me by other past customers. I explored the recommendation and thought the price was fair. I proposed the project to the rest of the nonprofit planning group and agreed. It was unanimously agreed that working with Also Creative is a value add and worth every penny.

We needed a website built. The process was simple. I worked directly with Justin Auch who asked me a series of questions (none technical). Most of the questions were simple opinion and preference questions. After 2 weeks, he had a draft version I could give feedback on. Soon, we had a website built. I asked the larger planning committee to give feedback, which got us to the final version. It was a painless and accessible process that produced a product we are very happy with.

What was the team composition?

I was the main interface with Justin. It was a short period of time, so there was no change in team composition. I solicited more opinions from the broader team, but it was me who worked with Justin. At times, the planning team opinion changed m the original direction I provided. Also Creative was able to pivot or even suggest compromising solutions that kept us on our project time line.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Not yet as we are just gearing up for our annual even in 2019. It has been received well by the planning committee and broader public as they see the website for the first time. And we are seeing registrations through the website as anticipated.

It was a short term project that demanded no major project management. email and slack were tools used to coordinate ideas and meetings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Communication and clear expectations. I find these as key components for a successful project and I am happy to report that they were present throughout this project.

I am very happy with the whole process, especially the end result.

Also Creative Inc. designed, developed, and implemented new features on our site, such as different menus, while streamlining each location into one site. They also added online merchandise sales. They made it easy for us to change our daily specials and add new pictures.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our customers are now able to look online at each location’s information, menus, and specials. It’s much easier for them to view the site on their phone or computer, which is extremely helpful. Thanks to Also Creative Inc.’s amazing work, our customers have commented that they find the new site to be a wonderful tool.

It can be daunting to working with multiple locations with different sets of information. Justin took it all in stride and was very easy to work with through email. He was there for us from start to finish.

They were so approachable. Also Creative Inc. was very organized, and their attention to detail was impeccable.

No, they have been great to work with both during and after the project was completed.

Our company is a global leader in applied informatics for transportation and agriculture. I lead the software development team within the agriculture and weather analytics team, which is responsible for a variety of backend and application development to deliver data and decision support tools to transpiration and agricultural business.

We needed to develop a mobile version of our road weather maintenance decision support system. We were using Xamarin within a very small development team to reduce the need for device-specific code.

We wanted to accelerate the project and build our expertise in Xamarin.

We had an existing relationship with the vendor for some web hosting services, and they had a developer with deep experience in Xamarin available.

Their developer became a virtual member of our application development team and helped implement a variety of features in our application. They also helped our team lead better understand how to use Xamarin.

One developer from Also Creative Inc. worked with our application team of three others, including the team lead, a web developer, and a backend developer.

We were able to avoid long delays and establish a framework more quickly that we have been able to maintain on our own since.
