At a company level our goal is to make a positive impact on student's learning experience. On a project level our goal was to hire a tech partner that we can build a great relationship with.

We found Alpha Bravo Development after being referred by a friend who built an app for her business with them. We then found their website, online reviews, and social media to enhance our decision.

We started with finalizing the mockup designs for the project, moving along to the development of the application. After finalizing and testing the application, they begun their monthly Hosting and Management services.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Alpha Bravo Development is the reason we have such an outstanding and feasible Software on the market. Before we developed this application, it was just an idea that needed to be created, but after working with Alpha Bravo Development they really took our vision, and created something.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project was managed by a project manager assigned to us. They communicated updates to us regularly through slack, and we had a weekly call to recap the team's work. Their management and update process is very efficient.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I found the quality of work along with the overall true dedication to my needs the most impressive. I feel that my project manager really took the time to fully understand my needs before even sending us a quote. I think they did a great job with making sure I was comfortable and in the loop with updates.

Are there any areas for improvement?

One thing that could be improved is the way that they test mobile applications. It can be difficult at times to test the application as links expire, things get updated etc.

I am the owner of an entertainment and events company located in Philadelphia, PA. We service 150+ events per year providing clients with planning services.

We needed an app for our clients to be able to login and manage a few different planning documents that would automatically be saved into an account that our staff can look at prior to the event.

We wanted to have an app ready by the end of summer for the fall 2019 season for us.

We searched online and found an ad from Alpha Bravo Development. I then had multiple calls with their team and eventually received a document outlining the entire project, and finally a quote.

Alpha Bravo broke down development into multiple stages, starting with a design and research phase, followed by development, testing, then launch and implementation. Throughout the entire project, I was constantly receiving updates and was in the loop with progress. This app is solely for the iOS app store, with an online website for our staff to manage clients.

Throughout the project, I was in direct communication with a project manager. There was also a more senior manager who periodically checked in with me to make sure everything was going smoothly. The development team was made up of I believe one designer, and two engineers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All deadlines were met, and our app was actually launched faster than anticipated. Alpha Bravo was great in helping notify our client of the app, as well as training my staff on how to use the web management portal.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager did a great job keeping me updated and responded to my feedback and questions in a very timely manner. I was their only contact from my business, but I believe they would have done a great job if there were multiple people on my side to communicate with.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am most impressed with their level of support and dedication. They really do go the extra mile to ensure that I'm happy throughout the process, and further supported my app and business after launch for a monthly fee (about $2000/mo)

Are there any areas for improvement?

The launch process was a little complicated as I had to do a few things on my own that I was not familiar with, such as getting an Apple Developer account and a duns number. If there was a way for them to do this for me, it would have saved me some time.

The scope of work included project management to help manage the different houses we worked on. Scheduling and dispatch to help our technicians know where to go for the day. Sales portal for our team to track incoming deals. Invoicing is now integrated within the system, so I no longer have to manually enter invoices twice. A portal for our clients to use so they can track their progress 

They were super quick with providing designs. I think it only took them about a week or so. After we reviewed some designs, they started going into more detail and gave me a lot of screens to look at with them weekly. After a couple of months they started development and provided me a testing link. It was regularly updated and I reviewed it on my meetings with the team. Once everything was done there was a lot of testing and we launched.

Since we launched the system my staff has been extremely happy using it. We're still getting used to it but it's a lot of fun using our own system. We no longer have to waste time or do things twice. The biggest think for me that this gave me is comfort. My old softwares were giving me so many issues and causing me a lot of stress. It was making it really tough to manage my business. I have confidence my team will be able to handle more work now without other issues

They used a slack channel for communication. We talked there throughout the week. We usually met weekly on Zoom to discuss how I wanted the software to work and then demonstrate the software once enough was done. They have a very attentive team that walks through every detail.

I have what I would consider a pretty complicated business to manage. We previously were using 3-4 softwares just to manage everything. It was all over the place and I tried multiple softwares and none of them worked for me. When I started working with Alpha Bravo I was honestly just looking to try something different. The amount of detail their team went into digest and understand how each part of my business worked was very impressive to me.

I wish we had started having everyone test the software sooner, so we could eliminate any bugs or problems. In the beginning, I was the only one testing so I didn't have my team's perspective. I wish I had known to involve them a bit sooner.

Our current EMR and ERP did not have an effective billing suite, which led us to look into a custom system build out.

The project was delivered in a satisfactory state according to the project scope. All of the key functionality was solid and we were able to quickly begin using the systems. Furthermore,Alpha Bravo providedour staff and company with hands-on training after delivery, and have continued to provide support and maintenance.

The project management was very smooth without major delays or issues. They were very attentive to our requests and hosted weekly progress meetings.

We would have preferred a milestone based payment structure rather than the pgase-by-phase one they typically use as it would have helped with our accounts payable.

As a startup pursuing delinquent commercial debt, we found it very difficult to properly manage thousands of debtors in a single system, automating the collections process, and running our back office. There were a few softwares already out there for our industry, but the costs were very high and lacked scalability. 

We found Alpha Bravo and determined that a one-time investment into the business would be a better option than a subscription which we would always have to pay for. The software's main components were to automate outreach to debtors, track our agent's activity and collection progress, update clients on their accounts, and provide in-depth financial reporting along with the typical AR software features.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They successfully delivered the project ahead of the original estimation. The design process was very fluid and I liked the site they used to provide the designs and mockups. Once we began development, our project manager was assigned and began providing weekly updates. They also offered a Friday zoom recap call which was very beneficial at times. 

Once backend development was kicked off, I typically received testable versions every two weeks or so. They handled a few pivots very well and were very streamlined.

Yes, they delivered ahead of schedule by a few weeks. During the project, our business model changed slightly as we were taking on new types of clients. They quickly provided an updated plan that included these new features, and did not charge a lot more. Most communication was held on Zoom and Slack which made it easy to stay on-track and organized.

I appreciate how involved upper management is, and they were a decent size team, but still felt very boutique . Josh, the co founder, was regularly involved in the project and was a great resource... not something you can get from huge companies.

At times I would have appreciated more insight into the coding and backend work.

Alpha Bravo Development contacted us and pitched the idea of developing a custom LMS to replace teachable and a few other spassubscriptions we were paying for. They said that by building a custom solution, we would end up saving money in the long run on our expenses and have better control over the technical aspect of our business.

They created a scope of work to build a custom software for our business that would first host all of our sales content for each client. The software also runs our back office, handling billing, client communications, and tracking each of our client's employee progress.

We worked with a project manager who was local in Miami. The process was very efficient and communication was really on-point. We had a weekly scheduled Zoom call with the project manager, and occasionally the technical lead. They took their time during the process to ensure I understood everything that was being worked on.

I was hesitant to hire them initially as they reached out to us and pitched the idea of building a custom software to help save money, but after they broke down the numbers and exposed how much money we're wasting each month on subscriptions, it made sense and I decided to try them out. Overall, I'm very happy with their level of detail and overall relationship; we've now just cancelled teachable, journey, and Dropbox as our new platform handles all of that.

They designed a custom internal software for our business which allows us to manage customer accounts, assign tasks and projects to our staff, and sync with our billing system. The project started with designs in which Alpha Bravo shared detailed mockups so my team could understand exactly what we will receive at the end of the project.

When Alpha Bravo Development first contacted me, a sales rep reached out to me to try and understand my business and suggest a few ideas. I spoke with Josh and was introduced to my full-time project manager. Once we officially started, I worked with Josh and my project's main project manager Gabriel. I hopped on 1 or 2 calls with a couple of the developers on my team when they needed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launched the project right on schedule which really made me happy. We only started implementing this software into our company last month but have already found that our team is able to accomplish more, while staying on top of the work needing to be completed.

The project management was pretty strong. They utilized Slack for communication in which my team and Alpha Bravo's team connected. They usually sent me an update or two every week to let me know how the progress is going and what was being completed. When the developers had some crucial questions, we connected on Zoom to clear them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They genuinely cared about our business and build strong software to support it. From the start, they explained their interest in growing alongside our business with software. They continued this throughout the project which is why we are still working together.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

One area of improvement I feel Alpha Bravo could do better is communication and client involvement through the Backend Development phase. As my project manager explained, showing functionality without starting the front-end development is very difficult. I trusted him, and before they billed me to move onto the Frontend Phase, they shared a few builds with me to see some functionality and make me feel comfortable.

Clarity, they carry you along the development and they don't try to blindside you. 

They delivered products with almost no bugs. When bugs are spotted, they handle it swiftly

I will prefer to work with one point man throughout the lifecycle of the project, but I guess that was not possible
