Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We required full suite marketing support including needing AlignMe to train our staff from an inexperienced initial team of one to a current full and skilled team of five to be able to implement all marketing activities from ground zero up. AlignMe supported us, initially very hands for all implementation, to now offering planning, guidance and technical support to implement general and specialised marketing campaigns. Including specialised targeting, campaign planning, building, excecution and follow up along with detailed marketing metrics, Google and Bing/MS ads and web development, technical and other web support, SEO, SEM, keyword planning, full suite of Graphic and Design skills plus copy creation, building presentations and webinars, updating and managing websites, specialised product launches within minimal budgets, full integration across marketing and sales metrics as well as ongoing support across all stages of marketing staff recruitment. This is only the tip of the iceberg as the list is ehaustive. AlignMe have provided Terra FIrma with structured marketing planning proceses, structured training and data-driven decision-making supoort throughout the entire process across multiple years, they are part of the Terra Firma family, know our systems and processes backwards and have become absolutely integral across our marketing activities.  

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Took a new product from under $1,000 p/m sales to $250,000 p/m with no extra resourcing, unskilled marketing staff and no dedicated marketing budget by developing and supporting us in the implementaion of a tailored marketing action plan specifically targeted at B2B audiences.

Enabled us to seamlessly move from a one-person untrained marketing team to a multi-person in-house specialised marketing team through in-house training and full-suite support.

AlignMe supported us initially with marketing systems and collateral to win projects from small contractors, then they stepped up to prepare us to win projects from Regional Councils and mid-tier contractors, they they supported us with further specialised messaging, campaigns and resources to win projects from large Government agancies and are currently supporting us in successfully winning Major projects from Tier One Contractors.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Over the last many years we have worked with five different dedicated marketing consultants as our primary contacts at AlignMe. There has been variation in skills and styles between each conssultant (ie some have been stronger in graphic design, some web, some ads etc) but as the primary contact is only part of the broarder team that we have access to at AlignMe these variations are easily overcome by tapping into the AlignMe area specialists. The overall experience with them has been extemely positive. To support this process the leadeership group at AlignMe have addressed any issues as soon as they were raised and are a wonderful addition at our planning and strategy sessions bringing new perspectives. Furthermore the AlignMe team holds a Friday Brainstorm and we have benefitted by being the subject of several of these focus sessions. The team are great at sticking to deadlines (when we don't hold them up), they provide quality service and deliverables and are transparent with budget.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

That they were willig to take a complete novice by the hand and guide and support them through the ins-and-outs of marketing to the point we are at today. Suggestions for improvement are always data-driven and they always notice and celebrate the small 'wins' along the way.

Are there any areas for improvement or something align.me could have done differently?

 Probably, not to assume that I know anything about websites ;) The initial web training they gave me only made real sense two years later.  Since then however, they've really tailored their training to our pace. I think they quickly realised how 'novice' this novice was but equally have some really high-tier training for our now much more specialised team.
