We hired Alchemy to help us go really fast from an initial idea to a validated set of needs for a clearly defined persona, and a functional MVP to start our go-to-market campaign and receive further user feedback.

We provided Alchemy with:

• a clear scope
• access to beta tests

Alchemy delivered:

• 10 new user interviews that helped us validate that we were targeting a real need with our solution
• A functional prototype in Figma for a narrow scope of our application, focused on the key value proposition we identified. They provided a lot of value here with their proprietary methodology that helped us zoom in on the set of needs that were the most important for our users, and where their frustration was the highest with existing solutions. This enabled us to really focus on a narrow project, with maximum impact.
• The implementation of the prototype in a web app deployed on Vercel, using react and typescript as programming languages.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

With the MVP delivery by Alchemy, we were able to onboard customers worth €50k of MRR.

We were very satisfied with their project management. They proactively managed the project by setting up regular checkpoints. They were constantly available to answer any questions and provide transparent updates. They joined our internal team slack in order to ensure smooth communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It's very rare to find a partner that can provide such a strategic partnership in addition to having a very strong execution capability ranging from user research to implementation. All this without adding unecessary process or frameworks. I think this is due to the founders' background and they fact that they started their career in outstanding companies with a very strong product culture - such companies still being quite rare in Europe.

The most unique aspect of Alchemy is that they were willing to start with a test project for a small fee, in order to demonstrate how they work. After only a week of working with them, we were sold!

Are there any areas for improvement or something Alchemy could have done differently?

I would love for them to provide support further down the product development process... Such as helping us structure our feedback collection process, prioritize the next steps of our product development roadmap, and so on. I know the team is working on putting together an offering that makes sense here.
