HB Facade Consulting is a specialist building-facade and curtain wall consultancy based in California, serving clients globally. We provide expert oversight across the full facade lifecycle which includes design review, glazing and curtain wall systems, architectural canopies, project management, and long-term maintenance. We've supported projects totaling more than $2B in value, including work for Apple Park, LinkedIn, Meta, and luxury residential towers in San Francisco and New York.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

AdVran is our IT and cybersecurity team. They act as our vCIO, run our servers, provide us helpdesk and keep us compliant. When we need to make a call about where the infrastructure is going next, we make it with them in the room. They also rebuilt our corporate website and still maintain it, so we don't have to juggle a separate web vendor on top of everything else.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The clearest result of working with AdVran is that our servers just stay up. At our size, that's the part we can't afford to get wrong, and since they took over the environment we haven't had a single major IT outage or security incident. They've also walked us through our compliance audits with no findings, which took a meaningful regulatory risk off the table. The website rebuild is much faster and the website design is top notch. And folding IT and web under one partner has made our lifes easier versus using multiple vendors.

AdVran runs a tight ship. Big milestones and small day-to-day asks both land on time, which honestly isn't something we took for granted given how the last vendor went. The vCIO piece was crucial instead of just hearing from them when something breaks, we're getting infrastructure planning conversations months ahead of when we'd actually need to act on them. Their helpdesk and engineering teams are always fast. Whenever we flag something urgent, it resolves pretty quickly, plus they are always communicative of anything they do.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The biggest thing that separates AdVran from our last vendor is how much they actually talk to us. Once a month we sit down and they walk us through what's in flight and what's already shipped. Our previous shop went quiet between invoices. The monthly report is the part our leadership has come to rely on. It spells out the IT and security work that happened in the background that month the kind of visibility we never got from ur previous vendor. That report is what gives our exec team the confidence that there is IT management going on. Versus where we were before, their transparency has been a game changer for us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something AdVran could have done differently?

Honestly, I can't think of any, they have been great to us.

We are a residential and commercial awnings company.  We design, manufacture, install, and repair awnings all over Southern California.  We work on projects that vary in size from the simple house all the way to commercial projects.

We needed AdVran to take over our previous IT departmartment as we weren't getting the results we wanted.  We  wanted an MSP that would continuously monitor and suppport our computers and provide analysis on how to get things done better on the tech side.

AdVran quickly moved us over to their new tool system and we were up and going in less than a week.  They provided great support throughout the switch and were able to help us knock out roadblocks that enabled our company to run without worry.  After that, they continued to provide amazing communication as to what was going on in the background with thier reports.

They moved swiftly and efficiently, and never beat around the bush. Anytime we had an issue, they were on it.

The communication was second-to-none.  These guys took the time to really understand our business structure and its needs, and made sure we knew what was going on.

They've streamlined the way our company operates so that we could focus on making the sale.  They were able to find the bottlenecks in our company's tech infrastructure and provide reliable and secure solutions that enabled us to operate much more efficiently.  We've gone from doing a lot of manual work with sub-par SOP's to a professional and clean process using tools they built and recommended.

They would provide a estimated timeline, with milestone dates and technical tag ups to confirm our satisfaction with the direction any project would take.  This meant we were never blind to anything they were doing.
