I’m a marketing director of a food export company from Ukraine.

What challenge were you trying to address with Admiral Studios?

Our challenge was to create a website that represented us on a high level to our international partners.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We work exclusively with Admiral Studios on everything. They’ve created a website for the brand and updated the website for the main company to make it a better version. They’ve also developed a website for a friend from Poland, a next-level website for our humanitarian aid organization, and websites for our smaller departments that provide community services for our clients.

Admiral Studios creates everything from scratch. The only thing we gave them was the design of the main page. Additionally, they’ve created the product and contact pages from the main page’s design. They use Node.js, React, and Laravel; they even implement their own admin panel in some cases because we don’t like WordPress.

Moreover, they’ve done a lot to develop our user system for personal education. This program helps us not to be tied to sales representatives. We can focus on hiring upright and honest people rather than professionals, and then we teach them the skills to sell.

One week ago, we gave them a ton of edits to update the website. Admiral Studios managed to do everything and launch the website with a new domain in five days.

What is the team composition?

We probably have 20 people on the team. Since we’re friends with the owner, we ask him to take on the projects personally. He has written the code for many things, but he probably has his staff working too, so they can deliver quickly.

How did you come to work with Admiral Studios?

Many people can do simple programming, but not everyone can be adequate, listen well, work fast, react to comments, and not cause problems.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in January 2019, and our relationship is ongoing. We don’t work with anybody else.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve increased the turnover about six times. We’ve also started a partnership with companies with a total yearly turnover of over $300 million and are currently talking to two companies with over $1 billion turnover. The online presence has helped us present ourselves on a high level.

In summary, our overall experience with Admiral Studios has been excellent; they’re great people. Teammates are upright and honest.

How did Admiral Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

We usually don’t set any budget. We use hourly rates, and Admiral Studios does whatever is necessary to finish the project and do good. Although they’re not the most affordable or most educated, they’re good people.

Moreover, it’s pretty easy to work with them. The project might take longer if we make a lot of corrections, but they finish faster than we expect them to.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re not entitled; the team is very humble. They don’t talk back to us if we say something wrong and don’t complain if something isn’t in the budget. Moreover, they don’t excessively take time to explain or correct everything. Admiral Studios just does the job and tries to bring the best results.

We’re also satisfied because they know what to do and have great taste in design; they know how to do better and what will look amazing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’d be great if they used AI for clients who don’t care about cybersecurity to enhance their productivity and drive down the average cost for development. They could do more for less budget because the AI would do the job for them. However, we care about the security of our systems, so that does not apply to us. We’ve strictly prohibited them from putting any code that isn’t man-made.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just sit down and get to know them as people. Afterward, discuss the business. You can set all the guidelines and expectations, but if they don’t understand your character and taste, it’ll be difficult for them to bring 100% results to the project. Without that information, they can’t create something good.

In a world where people dont pay attention to details, we always found Admirals staff to be very aligned and focused on the details. In every instance, and iteration they consistently exceeded our expectations, which inspired us to greater ideas to be implemented. By far the results are something that we are excited to show the world. They have an eye for design. Anyone can be trained to operate a piece of software. 

Design is more than that, and in our experience with Admiral, they really stand out, faithfully adhering to the fundamentals of good design. They don’t merely copy others work and co opt theirs as their own.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Admiral Studios could have done differently?

Honestly, I feel that their structure works! Perhaps, if they had hours which align with North American times, but honestly, I’m digging for something that I could wish for. Realistically, this time zone difference, never once affected our project.
