We are NYC-based footwear design brand and I am the designer of the brand.

For what projects/services did your company hire Adencys, and what were your goals?

After two-year hiatus during the pandemic, the new team rebranded iRi which included reworking on the brand's website. Hence we hired Adencys to work on the "Coming Soon" website and the actual e-commerce site of iRi.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our marketing partner referred Adencys to us. We wanted to find the right agency who could capture and show the brand's design values without sacrificing the user-friendliness of the e-commerce website.

After an initial kick-off meeting, we sent the initial design deck prepared by ourselves to Adencys. Then we received the project proposal from Adencys that listed out the project steps, deliverables and quote. Once we settled on the quote, we initiated the project and Adencys was very communicative with the process. The integration with our Shopify account was also very seamless and until the completion of the project, there was no major bumps during the process.

We had one project manager who handled most of the communication. For accounting and payment issue, we had another contact person who was helpful as well.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Although we are still waiting to launch our e-commerce website, the Coming Soon page has been a very useful page for us to collect new customers' emails for our newsletter. The renewal has been received well by our customers as well and we are excited to reveal the website soon as well.

We were constantly emailing back and forth as the project was being done. Beside the initial kick-off meeting, we did not have to get on any calls and all works were done via email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our project manager was very fast with finding out solutions and offering suggestions to our questions. We were able to find the right answers and the developer team was fast at correcting any issues. The seamless process was definitely very impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the initial stage, there was a little hiccup with finding the payment solution. This was more because of system error, rather than the team's fault.

I’m the president of a luxury jewelry company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Adencys?

We needed someone to design and develop our e-commerce website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adencys built our Shopify site from scratch. First, they worked with us on the design and sent us some mockups. We gave them our feedback, and the team iterated accordingly. 

Once the design was settled, the Adencys team built our e-commerce site, which is now finished.

They continue to update the website. It has pages for each of our collections, and users can filter products by gender, material, price, and so on.

How did you come to work with Adencys?

We found their portfolio on Behance.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in June 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The site is functional and bug-free, so we’re satisfied. We plan on going live soon.

How did Adencys perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is excellent. They’re always on time and quick to respond via email. The Adencys team is also very good at communicating and explaining technical terms.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Adencys has done everything we’ve asked for. We’re impressed with their execution in terms of design and development. 

Whenever we present ideas, they come back with better ways to accomplish what we want. The team has really helped us create a better deliverable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have no complaints — everything’s great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I highly recommend working with Adencys. Be very clear about your objectives and the functionalities you need, and they will work with you to get it done.

I am a founder and CEO of NOA. We believe that now is the time for sustainable brands and producers to become the norm. So we created NOA to help them launch their eco-friendly products to a growing community of mindful people.

For what projects/services did your company hire Adencys, and what were your goals?

We hired Adencys to design and develop a custom Shopify eCommerce website. Our main goal was to improve user experience and usability on our website and build a stable web management system with a large number of functions that would allow us to automate and increase sales.

SOLUTION

How did you select Adencys and what were the deciding factors?

First of all, we liked the quality of the work they did for other clients in their portfolio. The key factors in making the final decision were the quick responses to all our inquiries, their vision of our project, and a detailed proposal that described all stages of work and deadlines.

It was also important to us that the Adencys team was certified to work with Shopify.

We started with a sitemap, prototypes, and user flow. Then we proceed with the interface design. The design was presented in a browser, which was a very hands-on experience.

After completing the design, we received the concept animation showing transitions and micro-interactions.

The next stage was development, where we could see a fully responsive website with final animations.

Then all pages were transferred to our Shopify account to install all specialty functions, including the unique 3Dlook AI technology for scanning customers' clothing sizes.

We interacted with the project manager and the art director.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was completed on time, and we launched the website earlier than expected. After launching the site, we automated sales, reduced the number of returns due to the 3Dlook, and saved a lot of time uploading a large number of products through the custom system that they built for us. The website works great.

We used Asana for all tasks and Google Meet for communication. Every day they kept us updated on the progress of the project, sent weekly reports, and responded to our emails fast.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It was their personalized approach that really impressed us. It felt like they care about the project just as much as we do and that we worked as we were partners.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We did not notice any areas that would require improvement.

Workflow was difficult and a bit unorganized because they did not have a system for keeping track of their work other than email and because there were not consistent meeting schedule

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Denis is a very talented designer and Roman, the PM, is very good at keeping the project on track and making sure everyone is happy

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They can be clearer about who will be the one designing. We thought denis would lead design but he assigned a Junior designer as we were a low budget project for them and this may have swayed our thoughts differently

We hired Adencys for web design and development on a digital refresh. Our goal was to update our company's look and create a smooth intuitive web site.

We first went through rounds of design review, then several more rounds of UI/UX work to get the site working the way we wanted.

Overall we were very impressed with the quality and speed of work.

We selected Adencys after examining their portfolio on Behance, and after speaking with Roman, the project manager.

Adencys designed a fully custom Shopify website with a loader, home page, menu, categories page, product page, search bar, brand page, customer care page, account page, cart page, and checkout page.

We worked directly with Denis, the Founder and Art Director.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are pre-launch, currently in the development stage with Adencys.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Denis was extremely brilliant in his design techniques, communication, and willingness to incorporate any and all of our feedback. He also explained why certain components worked better than others very clearly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Every piece of feedback we gave Adencys was incorporated perfectly, and the communication and work speed is top tier.
