I’m the CEO of Transport Tracking. We’re a logistics company that provides transportation of any-sized cargo, from a pen to a helicopter.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aafilogic Infotech?

We deal with 40,000–50,000 shipments daily, of different types, that we need to make delivery estimates for. Therefore, we needed a solution for fleet tracking and provision of estimates.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aafilogic built an Android and iOS app. There are two versions of the app, one for our employees, and one for users. Users can track their packages, make payments, and set pickup locations via the app.

What is the team composition?

I mostly interacted with the project manager from their side, but I also talked with the developers and designers, in order to give feedback.

How did you come to work with Aafilogic Infotech?

I received a reference from a good friend. I had a call with them, and found that they understood the project requirements.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $18,000–$20,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January until February 2018. We’ve received the application package kit (APK) file for the Android version, while the iOS is currently in review.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The apps are good from a design and functionality perspective, and the user version has been downloaded 50,000 times in six months. We’ve identified some glitches, but none of them are major. Now that we’ve reported them, Aafilogic will fix them.

How did Aafilogic Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve mainly interacted over Skype and phone calls, usually around once a week. They also use a project management tool that’s similar to Zoho projects and Basecamp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The communication was very good, and I appreciated their ability to plan. They’re a lean team, and they were able to simplify our journey.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They work well for me. I’ve never had any issues with Aafilogic.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I advise clients to contact Aafilogic’s team once or twice per week, in order to get an idea of their progress, and to provide feedback.

We needed someone to help us with app development projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us with multiple projects. One of the apps was a salon app. You can find different types of salons for ladies, men, and children. They can book appointments and provide ratings and reviews on the app. For the Android app, Aafilogic is using Java, while for the iOS app, they’re using Swift. For the backend, it was all with PHP.

I was interacting with the project manager and the owner.

The owner is a friend of mine.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2018 until May 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app is uploaded to the App Store, but it’s currently under review. It should be going live within a couple of days. We’re testing it with our team and haven’t found any major bugs. Any minor bugs are fixed within a day.

How did Aafilogic Infotech Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

They use Zoho for project management. We communicated through Skype, email, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're willing to work longer hours when we identify bugs or need to make a change within the app. They're willing to work during the day and the night.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They mostly give the updates over Skype, email, and Zoho if you're familiar with it. Otherwise, they'll help you understand Zoho.
