Before we switched the strategy we had full team meetings to discuss and plan the implementation of the new strategy. This was thorough and at the same time allowed us to implement certain technologies and code to our website to allow for this. All communication was clear and transparent on when/where changes were taking place and the impact these changes would have.

The pre-agreed timeline was all kept to. With the main vendor contact being remote, and 94n being a remote working focussed company any needs/queries were answered by various members of the time across multiple timezones.

Previously working with 94n gave me the confidence to bring them on board for this product, having worked alongside team members closely and seeing their results deliver across various verticals globally. The work ethic of the employees goes above expectations. Work was completed and discussed during work hours and also outside of work hours due to the dedication to the project.

Even though they are our PPC marketing partner their knowledge of digital marketing is used across the board in both ideation meetings and on other marketing channels. We extensively collaborate on data-analysis. 94n also fixed tracking issues for us and supported our move to GA4.

For what projects/services did your company hire Lockstep Media, and what were your goals?

We were working with a long-term client in the B2B hospitality supply industry and that client needed an experienced PPC and SEO company with specialised services for ecommerce. We developed new ecommerce capabilities for their site to manage over 40,000 new products and so it was critical that the client was able to rapidly generate sales.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After speaking with Alex (Founder), we quickly understood the value he and the team would bring to our client. With our existing knowledge of search engine marketing, we knew immediately that Lockstep would be a great fit for our client and so we brought Alex along to meet our client. Alex easily demonstrated the expertise they would provide as well as demonstration of results and abilities. The client quickly agreed it was a great fit for their needs.

After the client agreed to move forward, the first step was to create a plan for PPC around specific products and product categories. Careful analysis was carried out to select products to push based on competition, product demand, cost per click, existing website performance and more. As time went on, this was continuously expanded upon to include more products and pages.

SEO work was carried out alongside the PPC campaigns. PPC campaigns were regularly reported on and meetings held with the client to keep them updated on improvements, budget, and so on.

There was a project manager, 2 PPC specialists and an SEO manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Alex managed the project extremely efficiently and effectively. I spoke to the client after the first 3 months and they were already seeing an increase in direct ecommerce sales that was growing significantly month on month and saw a £200,000 (approximately $250,000 USD) increase last year. The client has been very happy with the significnt increase to their bottom line and continues to push monthly marketing budgets as a result.

Project management was kept very simple which is perfect for us as we like very clear communications in order to work with this extremely busy client effectively. It's always easy to schedule calls, online meetings and so on.

The speed at which the team was able to make a clear impact on our client's profits was impressive and enabled the client to expand their marketing budget. Alex managed the project with care and we continue to collaborate on this and other projects as a result.
