Please describe your company and your position there.

I am an Account Director at The Communication Group plc which is the UK’s longest established independent public relations consultancy. We combine skills in consumer and lifestyle marketing, corporate and financial relations, public affairs and reputation management.

We have a 30 year track record of managing the reputation and profile of many outstanding organisations from leading global brands through to ambitious fast-growth start-ups.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire 93digital?

The Communication Group plc hired 93Digital to redevelop the company website. Our previous website was out of date and required a completely new look. It was important to showcase all aspects of our business in equal measure, whilst highlighting the expertise within the company.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to ensure our new website was informative, easy to use, could stand the test of time and attract new business opportunities.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Prior to choosing 93Digital we met with two other companies to discuss our requirements. We wanted to work with a developer that understood our business model and had the resources to work quickly.

It was also important for us to use a WordPress site which I would strongly recommend to anyone who regularly updates content on their website - it is very straight forward to use.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

93Digital designed, developed and launched our new website in 2016. In the first instance, we met with Alex to brief him on our requirements and discuss the most appropriate templates for our business model. Alex carefully selected five templates for us to choose from and once confirmed we sat down again to agree an estimated time-frame.

Nicola, who was Digital Art Director at the time, was instrumental in building the website and I was thoroughly impressed with both her and Alex’s efficient and personal approach. 93Digital ensured we were fully briefed on how to use the backend website and have provided guidance if required.

What was the team composition?

Nicola was our project manager throughout the development of the website and remained our point of contact on a day to day basis. Alex continued to play a key role in the management of the wider team where required, particularly when the website was due to go live.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Since launching our website we have certainly seen an increase in the number of new business leads, many of which have come through the website directly, and others that mention the website when they make the initial approach.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

93Digital’s project management was excellent; we knew it wouldn’t be an easy task and had delayed making updates to our website for some time. The team worked efficiently and met all of our deadlines, they communicated clearly and also assisted us with compiling the content and imagery for the website.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were particularly impressed by 93Digital’s can-do approach to all our requests. The team were incredibly responsive and helped us to build a website which we are still very proud of.

I would have no hesitations in recommending Alex and his team to anyone looking for a new website; they are professional, efficient and have a great eye for detail and I am grateful for their continued support when making necessary updates to the website.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think it would have been helpful to meet more of the team during the initial meeting so they can also receive the brief from the Client first-hand.
