We work with 6Minded on several marketing fronts. Initially, the project involved the implementation of HubSpot Sales Hub and Marketing Hub. Following that, we collaborated on content strategy and delivery. Finally, we engaged them to create and launch a new website as part of a rebrand. 

Our cooperation started in late 2023. The initial major task was implementing the CRM. This was a clean implementation from scratch. The CRM implementation followed the initial agreement; communication was clear, and most elements were delivered on time. It included setting up the accounts, initial onboarding to Hubspot, and creating templates for landing pages, emails, and contact forms. 

For the content strategy, this was also a completely new initiative within our structures. The initial scope of work included working together on defining the buyer persona, figuring out their jobs to be done, and mutually learning more about potential clients' needs and content interests. Later on, we agreed on the initial content plan, which shifted after the rebrand as our marketing strategy for Q4 2024 also shifted. The deliverables included a buyer persona workshop, a content plan creation, and the delivery of content pieces such as articles, case studies, and lead magnets. 

Regarding the website creation and implementation, the delivery went moderately smooth. The content production for the website started off strong, with quick iterations on the copy. The design phase went very well. The designer captured our brand’s new visual identity very fast, and we only had minor revisions here and there.

Once we moved to the coding and production phase on HubSpot CMS, the process became more challenging due to some communication issues and inconsistent response times and deliveries. However, the final launch deadline was met, and the results were satisfying - the new website looks modern, is responsive and fast, and the coded components and modules can be easily reused by our team for creating new pages.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The key measurable outcomes included:

• Full CRM and Marketing Automation implementation, improving lead management and workflow automation. 
• Development of a solid content strategy, including buyer persona workshop, leading to consistent content production. 
• Launch of a new website, which was integral to our rebrand.

Project management varied across different aspects of the cooperation. The CRM implementation was well-handled, with clear communication and pretty timely delivery. Initially, the content production lacked clarity on progress for us, but after a discussion, the team working with us moved project tracking to Notion. It improved visibility and coordination for us a lot. Now, our collaboration with the content team is smooth, and the quality of content meets our expectations.

However, the website delivery was more challenging. For example, the agency didn’t clearly explain the development process, making it hard to know when to expect specific deliverables or track the progress of tasks. Despite this, the quality of the final website was good, and the team was flexible in making changes when needed.

6Minded is a solid agency that ultimately delivers what is promised.  Their content team is creative, providing SEO-friendly and well-researched work. Both their UI designer and marketing analytics specialist demonstrated strong skills that contributed to the successful completion of the web development project. The agency is flexible and willing to adjust to our needs, which we appreciate.

Are there any areas for improvement or something 6Minded could have done differently?

The two main areas for improvement are communication and transparency. During the web development project, response times were often slow, and at times, it felt like information was lost in the process.   
There were some gaps in grasping our brand voice and core business needs, but they were covered after pointing them out.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve built the entire website from scratch. After a thorough discovery phase, they’ve migrated everything from our old WordPress website to the new one using Hubspot. We have a set number of pages that we need on our launch date, and their team helps us develop and design each of them. They’ve also advised us on a few SEO-related matters and helped us with the implementation of the technical SEO bits.

The website has already been relaunched, and they’re currently helping us maintain it.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve successfully rebranded and relaunched our website. As a result, organic traffic has almost doubled, which is thanks to the new design and all the PR and marketing efforts we’re doing. Our direct traffic has also significantly increased, but I am not able to share any specific numbers.

Furthermore, the new website has massively saved us time. We don’t need to go back and forth if we need any site changes. It’s built very easily and intuitively, so we can just change things on our own and no longer need to contact their team. They have also built some really nice and high-quality templates for us, which has been very beneficial.

Overall, they are a great team to work with. They are very efficient and very good at communication, and I highly recommend them.

How did 6Minded perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management style is good, and they are always on top of things. We have weekly Zoom meetings and review calls twice a week, during which we go through all of the content they’ve prepared and share any feedback. We also use a combination of Figma and Adobe to capture feedback in real-time. They will address the comments, and then we’d get back and review them before making a final decision.

We also manage the project through a Notion board, so everything is tracked very well. We’re able to see the status in real-time and everything is always up to date. Whenever I need to know what is happening with something, I just need to check the board and comment, then wait a couple of hours for a response.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re really impressed with the speed of their responses and their ability to track everything that we’re working on. I know a lot of people try to manage a project properly, but 6Minded keeps it so simple, and they do it really well — I always know what state every task is in. It’s also helpful to know if something can or can’t be completed within the day.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are a couple of minor things, but they can improve on naming conventions within the templates and following a better structure. That’s the feedback I have given them and they are implementing it as we go.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open and insist on complete transparency. With all my vendors, I always like to know what the expected timeline is and if something isn’t going to happen on time. They are quite transparent and open, but I think if you can see or ask the status of each task, it will definitely make the engagement a lot better.

We got immediate value from the EDM's that they build for us. This was something we had not done well in the past and with the help of 6minded started getting more work from our database in response to these emails. We have not opened up the final piece of work on the website and expect to get good results when it is made available.

6minded was able to work very efficiently with minimal oversight. We set up regular meeting that allowed for quick communication.

They worked very quickly to deliver value. Their ability to work with limited direction and still deliver high-quality work is great.
