I’m the finance director of a nonprofit community development organization. I’m in charge of everything under business management.

They take care of all maintenance, updates, and technical support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve been with 4BIS for years, and we have a service contract with them. We can just call in, and they fix the problem right away. Their services range from taking care of our servers, making updates, ensuring firewall and security, and more. They take care of our computer systems, and any of our employees can get their help — they can either place a ticket or call them.

Also, they’ve migrated all of our stuff to the cloud and helped us with many other things. 4BIS has installed DAKboard, which is a calendar service that we can set up and display on TV screens to let people know what meetings are going on and where. They manage our wireless network and make sure everything is running, and they even handle our phone service.

In summary, they’re our go-to contact whenever we have an IT problem. It’s like having an IT person, but they don’t have to come in every day.

What is the team composition?

They have many qualified people in their call center. If something runs a little deeper, they get the correct person to solve the problem, but they have great people overall. We haven’t had any issues.

How did you come to work with 4BIS Cyber Security and IT Services?

We were looking for an IT person, and we got a recommendation.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay them as our contractor. Annually, we spend about $28,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

It probably started in 2008, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve discovered that our employee efficiency has increased, and our downtime has lessened across the board. Moreover, if something goes wrong with a computer, we can get them to solve it quickly, so our productivity and efficiency have improved.

How did 4BIS Cyber Security and IT Services perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re good. They’re very thorough in their work and neat in their performance. Overall, they work well with everyone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re honest and trustworthy. We don’t feel that we’re played just because we’re not IT people. 4BIS really looks out for our best interest. They understand what they’re doing and try to assist us as best as possible.

Unfortunately, we’ve had bad experiences before them, where the vendor was messing with our servers so we’d call them back. Therefore, finding someone that does what they say they’ll do and are honest and straightforward has been great. Their team has integrity, and they live by that. We value that over everything.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m hard-pressed to say something about that. They’re pretty forthcoming and ahead of the curve; their team is always in training and looking at the newest things. Also, they send out newsletters or communicate directly to show us the latest news.

I honestly can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very clear about what you want and approach it honestly and openly. Get it into layman’s terms; don’t try to pretend you’re an IT person and don’t expect them to walk in and take over your needs.
