GST Michigan Works is one of the 16 workforce development agencies in the state. I’m the director of service excellence and work with our communications, PR, and business services teams.

What challenge were you trying to address with 3Sixty Interactive?

We initially engaged with 3Sixty Interactive to build our website and various tools. Over time, I learned about their digital marketing services and those developed throughout our relationship with them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Along with building our website, Dean (Chief Creative Director, 3Sixty Interactive) and his team developed our strategic marketing plan and assisted with creative consulting. Over the last two year, 3Sixty Interactive created our Google display ads for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Their team organizes our distribution lists. We connect the information to their team that comes out of our CRM system that is used to develop automated marketing programs.

We have two web components. One for job seekers, and the other we recently launched a business services side. The job seekers’ portal offers free resume downloads and allows us to connect with users. A challenge we have is committing customers to our services. We use the site to build our image as the primary place for workforce and talent development where people can find job and training connections, and career coaching. We want the business services component of our company to be the premier talent attraction for businesses in our region as well.

Dean and his team are developing various concepts to advance our business and website forward. We’ve discussed a magazine and monthly podcast, as well as offering registrations to free events like business forums. Those events provide free resources and bring our partners in the business realm collectively closer to our region.

Dean is our main point of contact. We’ve had interactions with Dale (Partner, 3Sixty Interactive) as well.

How did you come to work with 3Sixty Interactive?

Initially, our agency was two separate organizations. When we merged, Dean and his team already had been working with the Michigan Works Agency. They relayed to me that their team was responsive and provided excellent work, and recommended that the partnership should continue as we blended organizations. After around six or eight months of our combined website running, Dean met with us frequently, discussing statistics and analytics and what we could improve on. That’s where the conversation sparked about their other services, and our relationship blossomed from there.

We’ve invested between $150,000–$160,000.

3Sixty Interactive has been working with our business since 2011, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s been fantastic working with 3Sixty Interactive. Unemployment is low, so one of our biggest challenges is keeping people engaged with using our services. I believe the digital marketing work we’ve done with 3Sixty Interactive keeps a steady flow of job seekers coming in the doors.

Previously, we only had a Facebook page. 3Sixty Interactive changed the way we thought about social media and how we spend our money on marketing. We’re in the beginning stages of our business services component. It is exciting to see that take off. We’re building a brand as a true resource for businesses that can connect them with whatever they need. 3Sixty Interactive has become an integral part of our daily lives. I don’t know what we’d do without them.

How did 3Sixty Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

3Sixty Interactive is an extension of our business. I can’t say enough about Dean and his whole team. They keep us on task, staying true to our vision and goals. It’s impressive to have a partner that genuinely understands you and finds ways to improve your process.

Dean looks for recommendations and improvements that we never even thought about. It’s refreshing and helping our business significantly. Sometimes I feel like I’m pushing the envelope, requesting additional things that might be outside of the scope. I want to give Dean a call and see what he thinks. It’s become that strong of a relationship. They also offer various professional development events at their office. We’ve networked with other communication and marketing professionals through these unique events.

What did you find most impressive about them?

3Sixty Interactive embeds themselves in our daily work. They’re a constant for my business. Whenever we’re shifting gears or something changes, their team moves quickly right alongside us. If there’s a hiccup, it’s on our end. I can’t say enough great things about 3Sixty Interactive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are none that I can think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say not to be intimidated by the amount of work it looks like it. That’s what held us back from jumping in deeper; talking about specific timelines for more significant projects can be daunting. Working with Dean and his team, your company will have the support and flexibility to drive things forward. They allowed us to be creative and innovative to stand out in our industry. I would encourage customers to take the leap with 3Sixty Interactive.

What challenge were you trying to address with 3Sixty Interactive?

We needed help redesigning our website. We were working with another company, but we were not entirely satisfied with the relationship, so we started looking for a new vendor.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They host our website. We had an old website, so they were able to take that data and use it for a new site that they designed for us. They also added a lot of customized pages, forms that our users can fill out, and an option to make appointments online. They continue to create regular posts for our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

We mostly work with Dean (Owner, 3Sixty Interactive), who has a team underneath him.

How did you come to work with 3Sixty Interactive?

They were recommended to us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in 2009 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our business has grown and the demand for our cleaning services is on the rise. 3Sixty Interactive created an online estimator for our customers, so they can get customized prices for their specific needs. Our revenue has increased as well.

How did 3Sixty Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very responsive and meet our deadlines. We have a weekly phone call and we also have a Zoom meeting with Dean and a larger group of managers every other week, where we go over the status of the project. We use email to stay in touch between the calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're easy to interact with and get back to me very quickly, even if I text them over the weekend. I can count on them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything. I'd like them to continue growing because our needs are through the roof.

Don't assume that they know your business. Also, stay engaged in the process and ask them questions.

I’m the e-commerce manager at Dort Federal Credit Union. We’re a credit union based in Southeast Michigan.

What challenge were you trying to address with 3Sixty Interactive?

We initially engaged with 3Sixty Interactive for a website revamp. Our previous design was outdated and hadn’t been changed in a few years. We hired them to redesign then host the site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

3Sixty Interactive built a WordPress website and managed the backend coding. Their team worked with another advertising agency on designing the website and template. We can make our own changes on the site.

After the platform was completed, their team began helping our business with online marketing. They’ve worked with Google Ads, email marketing, display ads, and Google Analytics. 3Sixty Interactive run about 85% of our online marketing services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our accounts, deposits, and loans have grown since 3Sixty Interactive took over our marketing. In the last year, Google Ads and paid search drove a lot of the deposit and loan growth.

How did 3Sixty Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was excellent. Dean is extremely responsive. His team sets out on a plan and follows up relatively quick. We communicate through email and phone calls. I generally email them, but we end up on a call because it’s easier to discuss ranges and updates.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate that 3Sixty Interactive involves our team on innovations. I managed Google Ads before we hired them, and had issues understanding the capabilities and features. Their team is knowledgeable in that and what is coming down the road. They give us insight into Google Ads and the various ways to use it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, 3Sixty Interactive is a real partner. There have been no missteps, and their work is terrific.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Dean and his team were ready to help. He takes time to understand ideas we haven’t fully formed, through asking questions and making us focus. Dean is committed to understanding his client. 3Sixty Interactive is going to make sure they help.

I’m the CEO of Crim Fitness Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes health and wellness through Genesee County and the state of Michigan.

What challenge were you trying to address with 3Sixty Interactive?

We were looking for a complete revamping of our nonprofit’s message and how we communicate our evolving purpose. We were known as a foot race originally and were looking to grow into a general catalyst for community health and wealth. We needed the whole package to create an acceptable communication strategy.

We’ve been working with 3Sixty Interactive for about ten years now, and the work has evolved. Initially, their team planned our website’s content and functionality. Since then, 3Sixty Interactive has begun serving all of our communication strategies and digital marketing as our primary provider.

My primary contact was Dean (Chief Creative Director, 3Sixty Interactive). There were one or two others behind the scenes, but I didn’t work with them directly.

How did you come to work with 3Sixty Interactive?

I found 3Sixty Interactive through conversations with other local nonprofits and businesses. Many vendors provide content or are only technology-based. Since they were a relatively new agency, their team was willing to work closely with us in both and address any of our concerns. They were ready to operationalize our thoughts into reality. 3Sixty Interactive enthusiastically wanted to be creative and bold with our company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

As an organization, our nonprofit has evolved in Flint, an economically challenged environment. Many nonprofits suffer in these kinds of times, but our annual budget has increased exceedingly in the past ten years. I attribute that success to 3Sixty Interactive’s understanding and support while working with us.

How did 3Sixty Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

3Sixty Interactive performs wonderfully. We wouldn’t continue working with them all these years if they hadn’t. Their team maintains their willingness to be creative and hands-on with our organization. Their leadership is directly involved in our success. 3Sixty Interactive is everything we could ask for in a company.

We mainly communicate through email because we have a work-related system in place for requests. Anytime we need them, their team responds. Our departmental leaders, myself included, spend a lot of time on the phone and face-to-face with their team. They are nearby and stop by for meeting whenever we request them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team listened to what we want to accomplish and then helps us strategize how to get there, even if it isn’t an assigned task and something our team can do ourselves. 3Sixty Interactive is more interested in accomplishing our goals than driving their own business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn’t anything that their team can improve on. If there’s something I wanted 3Sixty Interactive to do more of, I would ask.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be transparent about your objectives and expectations, and their team will be honest with you about the cost and what they can do. Our organization doesn’t have internal communication specialists. We count on 3Sixty Interactive for their expertise on how to tell a story, how to represent our message, and how to attract participants.
