For what projects/services did your company hire 3rd Digital?

We hired 3rd Digital to build us a mobile & web application. They use React Native front end as it’s cross compatible with both IOS and Android.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted students to be able to have a housing solution away from the outdated method currently in place. Sagar and his team allowed us to test our MVP at the University of Surrey and get feedback on our product before moving to other universities

SOLUTION

How did you select 3rd Digital?

I reached out on LinkedIn enquiring if they were available for work. Sagar was extremely quick to sign an NDA and have a call with us to discuss our needs!

Describe the project in detail.

First of all it was a lot of ideation around what students need and want to use for their student housing selection. We had to carefully consider profiling our students and making them a UI friendly app to use on their housemate/house hunt.

Once we had decided how we were going to go about it we began doing the designs for our MVP on Adobe XD which Sagar and his team used and improved and sent back to use for approval. Once we have the go ahead they started work coding the mobile and web application and within 4 months it was available for our students to use.

What was the team composition?

We have 2 co-founders, myself and Owen and we deal & manage everything.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 1 day of release we had over 100 downloads. 3 weeks later we’re approaching the 350 mark with over 50 5* reviews on the App Store and students having found houses & housemates on Roome

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was super easy. We have any questions or work that needs to be done Sagar would go away, price it up and get back to us within hours. Anything we thought was possible in our mind - they have made possible in the app.

I was astounded by the efficiency and support offered by Sagar and his team @ 3rd Digital. They got everything done on time, with no issues and continue to support us now

We had some communication issue but that was mainly our fault as we’d never built an app before but 3rd Digital was quick to change them and made us aware so we’re vigilant going forward
