We are Sweden's largest private tutoring company, with more than 5000 teachers nationwide. I am CMO and partner, both head of the marketing department and part of the executive management team of the company.

We have collaborated in developing completely new themes, as well as improving current ones.

The goal for hiring the 360px team in the first place was to get a reliable supplier of web development, who can solve issues and deliver according to set acceptance criteria within a set timeline and budget.

360px was recommended to me by a trusted third party, who has worked with them for several years.

Looking at previous projects delivered and doing a test project proved that they were able to solve our problems in a timely and professional manner, with the right quality.

As we have worked on several projects together, this is more of a general answer. Depending on the size (i.e. a full new theme), the plans have been more or less detailed.

For a larger project, we specify the steps and set milestones with deadlines. 360px are very capable and can use the full toolkit available to WordPress, as well as develop and improve plugins and functionality to suit our rather specific needs.

We have high demands on code quality, including all technical details which affect SEO performance. Together, we have been able to solve many of those and we currently have the best performing websites in our business.

Several, depending on the project. We have a close collaboration with the CEO, who delegates when needed and ensures quality and delivery.

Usually, our projects have a lead developer who keeps everything together, sometimes supported by a project leader and/or more developers depending on the scope.

We have seen vast improvements in everything from page speed to conversion rates.

Some of these things are due to design and testing rather than development, but without the quick and responsive support of 360px we would not have been able to achieve these results.

Tools depending on needs. They have their own internal tools for keeping track of tickets and tasks. We communicate mostly through Slack, as we have had a long and trusted cooperation. When needed, we have used everything from Jira to Google Sheets.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their willingness to improve and learn. We have grown together and they both hate to fail and love to win. I see that they take pride in what they do and care about the final results.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the beginning, we had some communication challenges due to the language barrier. However, they early decided and committed to studying English and now they communicate very well compared to to other developers from the same region.

Any misunderstandings nowadays can be attributed to a lack of clarity from us when specifying a project, rather than a language barrier.
