I am a partner at Trego, Hines & Ladenheim, PLLC. We are a full service intellectual property law firm. The firm concentrates its practice in the areas of patent and trademark law. We also practice in the related fields of copyright law and unfair competition.

We hired 360 Visuals as part of our visual rebrand in 2014. They helped with web design, head shots, and of course the video.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a professional marketing piece that would serve as an introduction to our firm. We wanted to the final product to not only showcase our professional abilities, but to also let our personalities come through.

How did you select 360 Visuals?

Initially we learned about them by way of a personal referral. We then reviewed the company's video portfolio and made the decision to interview them for the work. We were very impressed with the professionalism of the interview and the proposal and we hired them on the spot.

There was a fair amount of prep and background work that happened prior to shooting. Jonathan and his team really took the time to get to know our business and the personalities involved. We ended up with at least 4 location shots in the final work.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Benchmarks were structured into the production agreement - but frankly, that was never an issued because they were in constant contact with us throughout the process.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were very pleased with the final product and received many complements from clients and colleagues.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

This was pretty seamless. The 360 team was very responsive whenever we had an inquiry.

The end product was great, but what we were most impressed with was the professionalism of the team. 360 Visuals is the real deal.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We had a really great experience, I really can't think of an area we were dissatisfied with - which is saying something. As you might expect, IP lawyers can be a pretty demanding bunch.

We retained 360 Visuals to produce a brand video. That involved coming up with the storyboards, shot-list and Call sheet. Pre-Production was very helpful as it laid out the process of what we were to expect.

Production was smooth as well as they were able to capture quite a bit of content in a relatively short time. Finally, in Post-Production, we saw the entire project realized with a completed brand film that told our story well.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They had a team of 5 (Producer, Director, DP, Grip/Gaffer and a Make-Up Artist) film two-days for us capturing our leadership and staff in our element while bringing a very cinematic look to the project that exceeded anything we could have done on our own.

After each shoot date was established. Their producer would work the timeline with us to handle any scripting, storyboards, logistics, locations & more. Jonathan is an excellent communicator. Fast, Efficient, and Tremendous follow-through. What he says, he does.

Over the course of the project, we filmed at their studio, our practice, & on-location. Each video project was handled with care. We were prepped and guided each time. Jonathan's team of more than 12 crew are top-notch. They are fun & easy to work with and each time we wrapped a shoot it was a success.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In a short period, we created a buzz about the clinic. And the online engagement increased. Finally, as an expert in Obesity Medicine, I was able to add physician consulting projects for myself from those parters ability to watch me on camera with my message.

Extremely effective workflow. As a traveling ER Physician and Owner of a Clinic, I don't have much free time. Especially getting bogged down in poor communication or time-consuming meetings. Jonathan's team knows this and did an excellent job looping me in when necessary.

They delivered incredible quality combined with a streamlined, efficient process. It's very obvious that they are Pro's. They have done these types of projects for almost 20 years.

Jonathan, the Owner/Producer was introduced to me and we built a business relationship from there.

In a short amount of time, I could see he was a real expert in professional video production as well as martial arts. It was the easiest marketing decision I've ever made.

The process was exactly as Jonathan & his team communicated to me. We prepped for the shoot. On production day, they arrived early and captured more content in one day than we could all month. It was fun and easy and it really gave my team a fun day creating content for my brand that was extremely creative and engaging.

Their 5-person crew brought the complete package to the production. There was Dolly shots, Gimbal shots, and very cool B-Roll. Super high quality is second nature to them but what made it very special was getting my team comfortable during the speaking parts. Jonathan has a real talent in that department.

This brand-doc style video first off really enhanced our website. Second, his team was able to produce shorter social media spots for us too like a teaser, highlight reel, client testimonials so in addition to increasing our page views on our website our social media presence grew as well as our engagement there.

Extremely effective. Jonathan is a Pro. Pure and Simple. He makes the process fun, easy, and non-stressful.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Hard to pick one thing but I would have to say their ability to arrive at our location, not interrupt our business, capture some pretty amazing footage and then put it all together in a way we never thought imaginable.

The process was very much like casting for a commercial. We needed them to select the right actress for the part, work with us on scripting and then produce it in a timely-fashion while not interrupting our normal business day.

They are extremely detailed-oriented and super fast to communicate. At no time did we feel rushed or not attended to.

We saw an increase in preparedness for our candidates after viewing the video as well as an overall brand awareness.

Extremely well. Their Producer runs a tight ship and his crew and our team worked seamlessly together throughout the entire process.

Super High Quality, Extremely Creative but a process and communication like no other in their industry.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created two new commercials for us from top to bottom. They sourced the actors and secured the location for us too. We filmed both commercials in the same location, just in different areas.

How much have you invested with them?

This time, the total was 19,000. That puts us at 40,000 across four videos.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2018, and we filmed these latest commercials in October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’re super easy to work with. They let me be as involved in the project as I want. I’m not a micromanager, but I like to have some creative feedback, so I appreciate that arrangement. 

How did 360 Visuals perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very detail-oriented. There’s so much attention placed on lighting, sounds, and shot placement. It really pays off and I really like the final product.

They’re very easy to work with and they did a great job. We’re just as happy as with the first time.

We wanted to do two ads. One was my idea, which involved some CGI work. They also hired a writer and wrote an original comedy ad as well to do a second ad. The team handled all of the makeup, costumes, and casting, too. We’ve since hired them to do two more ads in the near future.

In terms of word-of-mouth, people talk about our ads and we’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback. We do a lot of football advertisements, too, and people always say great things about our ads.

Project management was one of the best points of our engagement. They were always responsive and able to answer my calls. We used email and phone to keep in touch.

I’ve worked with a number of different companies, and they were by far the best at communication.

My advice is to do more than one ad. Getting two ads in is the best way to go from a financial standpoint.

We could not have been more pleased with the process. Jonathan & his team are pros. We had several pre-production meetings along with a site visit so they could location scout prior to the shoot. There was a lot of prep and Coaching of our team who had not been on camera before. This was invaluable! It really made the difference in the completed video

In just 9 days after the shoot, we received the final video along with the photos, 360s alongside tons of other valuable materials, such as individual take outs, Trailers, and even a "blooper reel" We have launched the Video on social media , like LinkedIn and Instagram as well as our Website. We have referred 360 Visuals for TV commercials for years. We knew they provide high quality service but had not had any need for digital video. They were our first and only call for the project.

After giving 360 Visuals a wish list of what we wanted, he was able to help us come up with a plan that met all of our needs. They helped provide guidance on how to manage the non-actor participants. They walked us through the whole project so we knew what to expect every step of the way.

360 Visuals provided the production crew, make up, and post production for the project. We had a detailed schedule going in to production and they were able to deliver completed videos days ahead of schedule.

The success of the videos has been great. Due to the quality of the videos the CPM is 20% below what we expected. All of the videos have a high percentage of view thrus and viewer engagement.

Because we had a detailed schedule before and after the shoot, the entire process was very easy. The few issues that came up were communicated quickly so they could be handled without causing any production delays.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Many of the videos we shot included endorsements by non-actors that had little to no experience in front of a camera. I was very impressed with the way Jonathan was able to coach them through their spots and get exactly what we needed out of each person.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I'm not sure there is any way the could have made this project go any better without offering the service for free! Even the pricing was better than expected, especially considering the time constraints.
