The team has built a no-code solution, which allows me to tweak the AI's responses in a simple way and improve responses as time goes by.

We required that they completely reinvent the homepage, develop new action buttons on a floating navigation bar, which would follow the user around the site, install a radio player for our online stream, create forms, embed a calendar plugin which can be updated with our upcoming shows, design the layout for our team's headshots and bio, create pages to house our audio programs with descriptions, perform data entry by uploading our audio programs to these pages, and providing us with tutorial videos on how manage and maintain these additions to our site.

All our requests throughout the project were met with enthusiasm, quick attention, and a dedication to getting it just how we wanted it. Our programs were all added to the site correctly, appearing just as we had requested, and playing properly for our listeners. And ultimately, our site is live and functioning very well.

Biz4Group LLC is very attentive, professional, and communicative. Any waiting that was done was their team waiting on us at times for various elements they needed. But they hit every deadline, sent follow-up emails, and clearly and thoroughly articulated their needs & their progress in regular messages. We were very satisfied!

We are not a very tech-literate team, and as such, maybe a bit more hand-holding through the launch of the site would have been helpful. Don't get me wrong, they have responded to each of our inquiries since the site launched, but we have learned that we don't know what we don't know until weeks later when a situation arises. 

So maybe a bit more initiative in helping us "see around the corners" and be prepared would have been great. We may be a unique situation in this, and in total, we have been very impressed and grateful the services of Biz4Group.

In reflecting on my experience with Biz4Group LLC for the social media review of our project, there are a few areas where improvements could have been made or things could have been handled differently: 

1. Clarity in Payment Structure: One area that stood out was the need for greater clarity regarding the payment structure, particularly for design slides and additional design features. While it's understandable that a comprehensive estimate may only be possible once the full scope of work is known, offering estimated costs for individual components as they are discussed could have helped manage expectations and financial planning. 
2. Enhanced Process Explanation: The overall project process could have been explained more comprehensively to provide a clearer understanding of the various phases, milestones, and how payments are structured. This would have helped reduce any uncertainties and ensure all parties are on the same page from the outset. 
3. Time Zone Considerations: While the time difference between Florida and the team in India presented both advantages and disadvantages, it would have been beneficial to inform clients of this in advance. Offering flexible meeting options to accommodate the time difference could enhance the client experience. 

Despite these areas for improvement, I am appreciative of Biz4Group LLC's willingness to work with me on a payment plan and their ability to produce initial work as a demonstration of their capabilities. 

Despite initial skepticism about their offshore team in India, they proved to be a pleasant and professional team to collaborate with. The language barrier did not significantly impact our interactions, and their overnight work hours, while influenced by the time difference, offered the advantage of a faster turnaround for feedback and revisions.

I am a co-founder of ShiftFit, a subsidiary technology company of IES LLC. IES LLC is a staffing firm founded in 1998. We provide staffing and recruiting services to light industrial clients in Idaho and Utah.

I started a conversation with Biz4Group because we needed a team of designers to build a body of project files for proprietary software that would give IES clients the ability to publish their own open positions to our pool of curated applicants.

Additionally, we wanted staffing firm clients to be able to fill and manage their own requisitions with in-app tools such as a form builder, SMS texting, geo-fenced time keeping, dynamic scheduling, and other very industry-specific features.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

My team and I interviewed several providers via video conference calls. Each call consisted of an in-depth overview of the scope of the project, and our end business vision.

Ultimately, we decided to award the project to Biz4Group because of their level of transparency regarding cost, project progression, and high degree of communicative competency with regard to the subject matter up front.

The personnel who appeared in our interview really embodied the characteristics mentioned above.

Initially, we participated in three discovery calls with various members of Biz4Groups, design, engineering, and account management team. This made us feel very confident that Biz4Group understood the global vision for the project.

Soon after, a senior member of their team actually flew out to one of our office locations to observe our traditional operations for a day to ensure they understood our business model before design took place. The next phase was design and project guidance file creation.

Biz4Group's design team did an absolutely fantastic job designing over 250 screens for all 3 of our platforms. The designs they produced achieve a simplistic and intuitive user interface, all the while keeping with the complexity required to facilitate an employee/employer relationship.

This is not easy, there are so many things a staffing firm needs to account for when automating job acquisition and management for its clients. My team and I were very impressed with this first stage of the process. Software development and engineering has comprised the most in-depth section of our venture.

Biz4Group is responsible for building a multiplatform, gig-economy software solution that allows staffing firms to give their clients abbreviated access to their ATS so they may fill their own requisitions semi-autonomously. Specifically, we tasked Biz4Group with creating such a platform with the following features:

1. Form builder
2. Dynamic scheduling calendar
3. In-app mass-texting solution
4. In-app chat
5. In-app email functionality
6. Employer/employee review platform.
7. Geo-fenced timekeeping
8. Middle management account permission editing capabilities
9. Online job-board
10. Programable push notification settings based on specific features.

At this time, 70% of these product features have been either completed and delivered to their full realization, or completed on a foundational level. The completion of these features had been very timely.

The project has progressed as planned and I have full confidence that the remaining 30% of the project will be completed by the conclusion of Q3 2022 initially expected.

We have begun internal testing of key foundational features of the app within internal departments of our company such as the geo-fenced time-keeping system, in-app chat, and job board.

These tangible deliverables have injected a new sense of optimism within our organization during a relatively challenging time in the marketplace.

These deliverables have also given our sales team new talking points with potential and future clients. Their work serves as a representation of hope for future innovative growth.

They have provided us with numerous avenues to communicate with them. Each week we have a reoccurring video conference call in which they demo the latest progress.

This also gives me the opportunity to give them feedback on recently completed items. Their senior manager is always just a phone call away.

Additionally, the development team always responds to any text communications within minutes during regular business hours and most times, even outside of business hours.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We decided to award the actual coding and app development phase of our venture to Biz4Group. At this time, a senior member of Biz4Group actually flew out to our Salt Lake City area office to get to know our traditional business model firsthand.

At this point, we are just a few months away from launching our software and thus, launching our new subsidiary, ShiftFit. The team I've been working with throughout the build of our platform are absolute subject matter experts.

What challenge were you trying to address with Biz4Group LLC?

A friend gave me the idea to build an app, and I did a lot of research. I saw that AWS was a good place to host applications, and I decided to use JavaScript. Although I had the basics of what I wanted the app to do, I got to the point where I couldn’t even figure out how to make a login process. After trying to write the software myself and running into wall after wall, I decided to hire a partner to build our mobile app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Biz4Group suggested we make a dummy app. We fine-tuned this dummy throughout several months, where we made changes and shot out ideas, collaborating every Thursday. After that first phase, when we were satisfied with the dummy, the team moved into development. They built the app for iOS and Android. I requested some last-minute changes and was involved with testing the app. 

The app’s primary feature is documentation, timing, and scheduling. Users can input all their information, including data on the motor and when they bought it. Every week, the app asks users to update the total hours on the engine. That way, users know when they hit certain hour marks, and the app prompts them to change the oil, do a water pump, etc. Essentially, the app keeps up with what users need to do and when. 

Once users complete tasks, they can upload any relevant receipts, which serves as record-keeping. Users can upload their boat’s manuals, giving them a centralized location for their information to have available online. Since the app is for boat maintenance, the schedules are based on days and hours; tasks must be done after X amount of days or X hours of use.

The Biz4Group team also added secondary features, including a community forum where boat owners can put up questions and others respond, creating a community atmosphere of people trying to help people. Users can also show off their boats on the app, and there’s a business section where we’ll build a database of known marine shops, dealers, etc.

I found them on Upwork; Biz4Group was one of the providers that responded to my request for assistance. They had clearly read the description of what I wanted to do because they replied by saying they had done a similar app for semi-trucks. Over 10 companies responded, saying the app should be web-based using HTML, which didn’t work for what I was trying to do. Meanwhile, Biz4Group suggested using AWS and JavaScript, matching my research exactly.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measured Biz4Group’s success based on week-by-week progress; every Thursday, we would have an hour-long meeting where their development team showed me what they’d done and what they were doing next. After that, they would send me that week’s bill with a breakdown listing all their tasks. For us, any progress was good progress. I fully understood that writing code takes time, and some things that seem simple aren’t.

How did Biz4Group LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent at project management. The team was very good at communicating through Whatsapp. They also set very realistic timelines and goals and usually delivered work on time. When we needed changes made, they would let me know how many additional days it would take. The only issue we had with time wasn’t their fault but Apple’s.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Biz4Group’s high levels of communication set them apart — they communicated all the time. I had the cell phone number of the project’s lead, who was actually the CEO, and I didn’t even know it; I just thought he was an account person dealing with the bills!

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would have been cool to have a progress tool to see the work visually. However, not having that didn’t really matter.

My advice is to have a very clear idea of what you want and your end goal. The more specific you can be, the easier the project will be.

I held several rounds of interviews with numerous vendors. After speaking with Sanjeev & his teams a few times it was very apparent that they were very invested in me as a client. They listened to my questions carefully and took time to think before giving answers. Rather than treating my interviews as an opportunity for them to pitch their skillset, they acted like a partner and provided great advice and a well thought out plan for how to bring my idea into reality.

We worked together on developing a custom, complex back-end technology along with a beautiful customer facing website. The team at Biz4Group were amazing at guiding me (a non-technical lawyer) through my design choices and how to simplify complex aspects of the app. As well as doing all the heavy lifting in terms of development work, the suggestions from the Biz4group team had a lot of positive impact on the consumer experience while using the technology.

The team was roughly 4-5 people. Priyanka & her developers were the stars of the show but the expert guidance and calm hand of Sanjeev played a crucial role too when the project was entering critical stages.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

I owe all of my success to the team at Biz4Group. Their design choices gave my website a conversion rate of 11% on average and when I mistakenly took advice from elsewhere to change aspects of the front end, the conversion rate plummeted.

Priyanka managed the project from start to finish and was incredible at her job. She never missed a deadline and brought a steady hand to calm me down when the inevitable stress of an important project sets in.

They never missed a single deadline and consistently demonstrated a willingness to go above and beyond their regular working hours in order to ensure that everything ran smoothely. Communication from the team was also great, I always knew exactly what was going on with the project and when the team has questions these were communicated in non-technical language that even I could understand!

We wanted to create an MVP for social publishing and which serves as an e-learning platform that enables aggregation and sharing of resources focused on the different aspects of creativity, design, psychology and leadership. The users can create playlists of their favorite educational materials organized into specific categories such as articles, books, events, courses, videos or websites.

The solution developed by Biz4Group was intended to help our employees discover new educational content and learning videos. The Minimum Viable Product created by the development team also provided options for creating learning playlists and bookmarks for the end-user. It was similar to having a complete school at your fingertips. The materials can be gathered from different sources, tagged, rated, reviewed and shared either publicly or privately. The user can also create their own profile, add comments and ratings to other profiles and upload contents associated with specific learning topics. The contents can be uploaded easily from the desktop or embedded from YouTube / Vimeo – video, Amazon – books, SlideShare – presentations and other websites. 

What was the team composition?

The team assigned to our project comprised of Project Manager (PM) that handled the whole project along with a team of Full Stack developers, MERN(MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js) Stack Developers, quality analysts, marketers, and UI/UX designers were under the Project Manager who contributed to the project management cycle basis their core expertise.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The basic objective of this project was to create an MVP that can provide E-Learning to our employees. Biz4Group created the application filled with dynamic features like progress tracking, page slide, activity feed, personal workspace, notifications, search and smart triggers. To the date of writing review, the website has been performing perfectly on all parameters and has enabled our users to create playlists and bookmarks as per their choices.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We really liked the way Biz4Group handled the entire project. From the beginning, We were assigned a team of expert developers led by a project manager who executed the entire project until final delivery. React developers also helped us with our biggest challenges throughout the project. We received daily updates related to source code and project progress, which helped us in planning other processes.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Project execution by Biz4Group was really impressive. They were really determined to finish the project before the deadline and were always ready to discuss & share new ideas to implement in the website.  We always received expert suggestions from the team, which helped us take this project to the next level.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We had a limited budget for this project and since it was an MVP, Biz4Group strived really hard to complete it with all the desired functionalities and that too within the given budget. If we had more budget we could have developed the entire project from them, we are already talking to them for the next phase of the project.

Biz4Group’s exceptional project planning was great. The direction they followed was strategic and adhered to our idea of development. They kept us regularly informed of the progress made which was extremely helpful as we were constantly aware of the phases accomplished.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The project planning was commendable. Their proactive service is what impressed me the most. They were focused on building a top-notch product. They made required changes to the UI in time of the newest update’s arrival which saved us a lot of last-minute trouble. The functionalities they added were in line with my demands and the end product was as I had asked. They continued beyond what was agreed on and supported even after completion of project.

I have no complaints regarding the quality of service, however, since they are a startup there are certainly areas they can improve in.
