We first had two programmers working 50% each, but our CTO was not content with the deliveries of one of them while the other one delivered well and was also willing to learn new methods. The aim was to program the front end of our product and work towards alpha version which is soon to be ready. We do one part of the product at a time and finish that - then we start the next one, rather than working in sprints. 300Brains reacted fast and well to our complaints about one of the programmers not being experienced enough and took him off the post - and increased the other one to 100%.

Alpha version and parts of that, when they are finished (like parts of a puzzle) are presented to us via our CTO.

I am an R&D manager for a system that monitors infrastructure and railway vehicles. My company built a device to measure the features and developed machine learning models that provide assumptions based on the measurements from the system.

What challenge were you trying to address with 300Brains?
We needed a firm to build our application's UX/UI to display the results from our measuring system.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve been working with 300Brains since the beginning of our larger project to ensure their UX/UI development is connected with the information we’ve gleaned from our system development. The app is one of the critical values of the project because it displays the insights from the measurements and the data we want the user to have access to.
300Brains is identifying our user personas, collaborating with industry experts to understand industry-specific needs. 300Brains also contributes their expertise in defining user experience, highlighting best practices. Their team is very open to feedback and pushes back when our ideas aren’t practical. After defining user personas, 300Brains will develop the UX/UI in Figma and use another tool for API creation — they’ll also use Bitbucket repositories for the coding.
What is the team composition?
I work with 10 teammates from 300Brains during the project, but only five of those teammates have been with us throughout the entire project.
How did you come to work with 300Brains?
We made announcements that we needed this work done, and 300Brains responded to our listing. An internal teammate had experience working with the 300Brains’ team before, which improved their chance of being hired because we had insight into the quality of work they produced. In the end, 300Brains was the best option from our pool of market competitors.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with 300Brains began in July 2021 and is estimated to end in October 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t have any specific metrics to share, but we’re very satisfied with the results we’re getting with 300Brains. We’re working according to scrum methodologies, so we’re happy with their work velocity and they’re meeting the work acceptance criteria we agreed on.
How did 300Brains perform from a project management standpoint?
We have no complaints about 300Brains’ project management; they track the project in Jira and deliver on time. We use Slack for daily communication and have biweekly calls on Google Meet with the 300Brains’ team to plan sprints.
What did you find most impressive about them?
So far, 300Brains has delivered everything on time and communication has been very smooth. They provide a lot of quality feedback on our project and quickly address our UX/UI edits.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There have been a lot of 300Brains’ teammates rotating out of our project that we expected to be with us for the duration, but it hasn’t influenced our work schedule.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d advise customers to stay in constant communication with 300Brains — our work wouldn’t be going as smoothly as if we weren’t frequently exchanging information.
