I'm the founder and CEO at RealStaff. My company helps university students of agriculture find internships and employment. We connect students with businesses in Canada, Norway, Finland, New Zealand, and other countries in the EU.

For now, we have a higher level of cost-efficiency of our work, as evidenced by the following indicators (compared to 2018 year): - 45% increase in net income - 80% increase in the number of clients - 15% increase in labor productivity in related processes - 20% decrease in the cost of time for a conventional unit

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We basically saw DTEAM as part of our own team. They adapted to our project management, which I appreciate. They were very accommodating of our preferences in terms of stand-up meetings and communication platforms (Slack, Skype, etc.). We used Agile development and Scrum. When it comes to communication, they were very good. DTEAM has solid English skills and articulate their ideas well.

DTEAM offers its services without a sales push. Their team exposed us to options to enable our success and meet our needs. They were great to work with.

There are no complaints about or negative aspects of working with them. DTEAM fulfill their promises and they always deliver.

Improvement of scalable, high-performace Python/Django project with existing code, a lot of features and a bunch of technologies (Postgres, Redis, Async tasks with RQ), keeping performance and reliability in mind.

DTEAM followed a good coding standard delivering results with TDD. They worked on-time, had a quick understanding and could provide us with good advice.

Communication was quite good. DTEAM responsed very quick in a shared Slack channel. We followed Scrum practices with regular meetings and deliveries have been valuable and on-time

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We were able to do over $100K in sales on Version 1 of the web app.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They delivered against the written requirements. They provided good alternatives and expertise for software architecture They were willing to change requirements in AGILE, as needed. They gave weekly demos to show progress. They gave fill Git transparency to check the code.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were able to take the MVP idea into a V1 and generate revenue. we will be working with them in the future to upgrade the software and add more features.

Are there any areas for improvement?

With any hourly pay or fixed pricing; developers can feel the pressure do the minimum to get a feature completed. it's important to make functional features - but be sure to make them elegant for the end customer. Try to think " how will this affect the customer" rather than "How can we deliver work on spec to the written requirements". This is a constant battle for all software companies. Overall D Team was very understanding and accommodating for "good user experience" changes when something could be improved for the users.

We needed an expert team to spin back up and update a project our partner company, Building Energy had done for the DOE/US. The project uses Django, Angular, and Postgres.

We needed to demo the project to new investors and potential pilots for Building Energy, which would allow us to continue building the platform but also pivot it to in a new direction.

After using two IT providers and failing to spin back up the environment, we came into contact with DTeam and from the start they were knowledgable and ready to engage, but cautious to fully understand the problem before committing.

Once we started working with DTeam we were introduced to a project manager on their side, gave them access to the code in GitHub and asked them to keep track of the hours using a standard spreadsheet.

From then on we setup regular follow up meetings and if they ran into any blockers we were made aware instantly to help them solve the issue.

The project is now running smoothly and updated on our servers and we were able to demo the current state so we could proceed.

We went to them with high-level requirements. DTEAM defines key features and provides a user story for each of them. Then we’ve discussed estimates and vendor split all the tasks by weekly sprints. Time by time we defined new features and new designs (the designer was on our side), so they discuss those features and included them to sprint. They did it time by time.
