BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Assistant Professor and Coordinator, Department of Agribusiness, ADUST. I am also a researcher, faculty member, and writer. He is teaching as an assistant professor at Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology(ADUST).

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Zoom?

It allowed us and our students and team members to keep connected while working remotely during the pandemic. Our organization's distance barrier has been broken down via Zoom, since we feel a sense of connection whenever we meet online.

Using Zoom, we were able to do more online class, seminar workshop and research work during the pandemic.

How did you select Zoom and what were the deciding factors?

The screen sharing tool is quite useful for our study project at any moment. The zoom user interface is simple to use and comprehend. Zoom offers an easy-to-use interface, and you can start a meeting with just a few mouse clicks. It's simple to set up Zoom and send out invites to others.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We are using Zoom right now also. Students from remote areas can attend class, submit their presentations and assignments, using Zoom.  We have also taken online exams using Zoom. Its screen sharing option is highly appreciated. I, along with my team, also conduct research work using Zoom. Online viva exams can also be taken using Zoom. 

How many resources from the Zoom team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I am the end user. Our administration contact with vendors and purchase the product for us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Students can get their degrees in due time, though COVID-19 pandemics go all over the world. Online assessment and degree awarding processes can be easily done using this tool. Some important training and workshops which are essential for them can have a significant impact on their academic life. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their customer service is very good. Our administration solves any issues that arise between them and us. Smooth operation occurs through the team's cooperation and customer friendly behavior.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It also allows me to plan massive online conferences and workshops for my teaching career. Zoom can accommodate up to 10,000 virtual attendees when I use it for webinars, Multiple screen sharing and ease of use features with affordable price is excellent.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

By reducing the video quality, the audio quality copes well with sometimes slow connections. Other conference platforms, such as Google Meet, don't charge for capabilities that Zoom does. I could only require a specific service once or twice a year.. The free plan's 40-minute time limit looks to be a drawback for students .
