Our first objective is to avoid major losses rather than to seek big gains and we partner with each client to build a portfolio that suits their long-term needs and values. For both social and investment reasons, we focus our stock selection on well-managed companies with sustainable business practices. As conscientious investors we employ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) analysis in the investment process, not only for ethical reason but also as a marker of strong and enduring companies. In addition, we actively engage in shareholder advocacy to achieve positive improvements in companies’ behavior and enhance shareholder value while also making a broader societal impact.
