Zazzy Studios was supposed to reimagine and redesign our mobile-based application. They did a thorough market research, understood who our end users are, and did an in-depth psychology analysis of user behavior before designing the application UI & UX. They delivered an excellent product with the right features and functionalities to increase:

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Project Management was done through Calendly. A timely response was always received on Slack and quick Google Meets were scheduled to resolve quick discussions/issues. Weekly team meetings were scheduled and updates given on call and over slack in detail.

Maybe using Zoho for Project Management instead.

I'm the co-founder of a social venture that sells products for vendors via our e-commerce website.

What challenge were you trying to address with zazzy?

We needed help addressing the website design challenges we were facing as a nonprofit. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

zazzy has designed our e-commerce website's UX/UI. They've helped us design how our product offerings should look and how the checkout process should work. From there, we continue to determine which products should be listed on each page and which should be on the site's sidebars. We need the look and feel of the site to be attractive — zazzy helps us with the design strategy. zazzy also provides graphic design services, developing graphics to help us improve site traffic and use for social media. Their team also delivers package designs. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with four teammates from zazzy, including two UX/UI designers, a social media manager, and a graphic designer. 

How did you come to work with zazzy?

The founder of zazzy and I were working in the same coworking space, became friends, and then started a professional partnership after I read the positive reviews about their services.

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested $14,000 with zazzy. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with zazzy began in June 2021, and it's ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

zazzy delivered many designs that help us stand out from competitors. We wanted to sell a lot of our vendors' products during Diwali, and the website, new packaging, and social media graphics helped us generate sales. Also, they delivered a lot of effective designs to generate sales during Holi. zazzy helped us scale up our business and generate funds for our vendors. 

How did zazzy perform from a project management standpoint?

In general, zazzy stuck to our timeline and delivered to our needs — we rarely follow up with them about project pieces. Since we work in the same building, I can discuss the project with zazzy's team in person whenever I need to. We also communicate through Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

zazzy has a great perspective and can deliver what we want as a nonprofit — other firms don't necessarily understand the nonprofit space and can't deliver what we need. Also, their work ethic is excellent. They're determined to meet deadlines and deliver what we need. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing for zazzy to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd advise customers to give zazzy free reign when it comes to the design process — all customers need to do is tell them what they want and zazzy will deliver. Customers should let zazzy experiment with the design because they have a diverse team that comes up with the best solutions to fit the customer's needs.

How did you select zazzy?

I have worked with Zazzy founder earlier for couple of projects and I had a very nice experience working with them in terms of quality and professionalism.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Soilsens is on mission of creating an ecosystem of farmer where they will get benefited with SoilSens agriculture experts advice and interact with various SoilSens products like SoilSens Go, SoilSens Mini in order to get health of their field in terms of nutrients as well as water level. We want to develop couple of mobile apps to be used by different entities like farmer , supervisor and admins in this eco system.

Zazzy team help us to finalize our workflows along with beautiful and very intuitive UI/UX for our targeted end users who will mostly farmers.

There were 4 people on this project from Zazzy.

We are very happy with the work done by Zazzy Team. They have developed very beautiful UI/UX for our APPs

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We used to meet twice a week and project management by Zazzy team was up to the mark. We used track activities via design tools portal and it was effective.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

zazzy is a good mix of senior people with experience and young blood with a lot of energy and creativity.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Well improvement is constant journey. Zazzy also has its own path to follow :)

I’m the co-founder of Biddano, a healthcare supply chain company in India.

What challenge were you trying to address with zazzy? 

zazzy serves as our design partner that works closely with our engineering and marketing teams.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

zazzy helps our engineering team address our UI/UX design needs. Meanwhile, they help our marketing team design posts for our social media campaigns. 

To elaborate, their resources help our engineers design the UI/UX of the Biddano platform. The timelines are short; they have around 24 hours to work on tasks. On the marketing side, they design our social media posts and campaigns on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. They also create a monthly social media calendar for us. 

The zazzy team also works with our PR team. We have press releases every month, and they help us design its content. If the release needs to have any infographics or animation, they produce them. This entails an extensive amount of research. They also take care of our branding as they design our merchandise and presentations for activities. 

What is the team composition? 

We work with around 7–8 people from their team, including designers and branding specialists. 

How did you come to work with zazzy?

The founder of zazzy was a friend of my friend; that was how I got in touch with them.

zazzy’s monthly billable is around $5,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I rate zazzy highly because of their understanding of our position, concept, and vision. They’re highly involved with us and closely work with our teams. Their resources also understand what our team members like and dislike, and they consider all of these things before delivering their work. Overall, they meet the quality standards we’ve set for them. 

Moreover, zazzy has helped us achieve greater brand visibility in the market. I’ve been getting more calls from investors and other CEOs. Other PR agencies have also encouraged zazzy’s work, saying that they’re doing phenomenal work.

How did zazzy perform from a project management standpoint?

zazzy has a great project manager, who deals with all of their team members. My team directly coordinates with that manager. Most of the processes are already set; we have monthly calendars for marketing and a calendar for UI/UX projects and sprints — so we’re not seeing any issues with management. They manage everything professionally. 

In terms of tools, they use Jira to keep us posted on our projects. To communicate, we use Google Meet. Our offices are also pretty close. As a result, we also conduct monthly review meetings in person. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their perspectives on the message that needs to be conveyed to the end user are impressive. The team can look at things differently, and they provide our teams with varying perspectives. They’re quite experienced in this field, so they understand the kinds of users we deal with and the personalities of our stakeholders. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

zazzy can acquire more resources. Looking at their work, I see great potential for them to grow into the industry. They’re highly particular about the kind of customers they want to work with, and they want to provide value rather than have a transactional relationship with us. If they focus on improving their teams and getting the right kind of people on board, then their growth potential is great. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Let zazzy do their part. Most people I’ve interacted with in the industry have tried to influence the thought processes of the designers in terms of what needs to be done and what they don’t have to do. However, if you leave their work up to them, the zazzy team can see things differently, and that’s what you need to understand the customers’ perspective. 

Everybody wants to stand out and have a unique brand, but you must give zazzy the freedom to think and decide how the work should be done.

I am the CCO of Tyke, which is a fintech company in the fundraising and startup investing space.

For what projects/services did your company hire zazzy?

Zazzy has helped us with improving the UX of our platform through conducting user interviews, and a UX audit. I have also worked with them to update our design system. They are helping us with the design of our upcoming product (website) as well.

SOLUTION

How did you select zazzy?

Zazzy was recommended to us through a stakeholder in the company.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Component list and design system: First we identified the problems in our current design system and component list — and updated them accordingly, to improve the UX of the website. They helped us with defining guidelines for text, color and responsiveness (breakpoints). User research: Gurnoor from zazzy has been conducting interviews with our users. We defined cohorts based on user data, to make sure the results reflected a fair view of our actual user base. The interviews are ongoing. Web design: we are working on our next product. Zazzy has been assisting us with the design of it. We are currently in the wireframing stage.

3 resources. Jay, who is the founder. Gurnoor, who is a UX designer and is leading the project. And Shivansh, who is one of their UI designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It is still fairly early in our work relationship with zazzy — a lot of their deliverables are still under development and haven't been released to our user base. That being said, I am happy with the speed and quality of work provided — and can see a noticeable improvement in the organization and utility of our design assets (design system/guidelines, component list).

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There was a short adjustment period of a week or two in the beginning, where some time was spent addressing the kinks in the workflow between our two companies, as is expected. That being said, Zazzy has consistently been responsive and accessible — and willing to address any issues that we have, making it easy to get into a productive sprint cycle for both of our companies.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Jay's expertise on UI/UX is great to have. It's always a pleasure working with someone who has a deep understanding and knowledge of their sphere.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Working with zazzy has been an overall positive experience.
