I'm a Digital Art Director in a CX led B2B marketing agency.

For what projects/services did your company hire YOYOPOP?

We have a good video production team and animation skill set but not 3D animation capability in house. In order to push our creative boundary in video production further we always want to work with animation teams with strong 3D skills with high design standard.

What were your goals for this project?

A finance conference is usually very corporate, and we wanted to challenge that. We wanted to create an animation, something sleek and exciting.

How did you select this vendor?

I have contacted several agencies but after talking to Trev and Michelle in person and going through their showreel, it was obvious that the level of their video production standard is very high. I had an immediate feeling that they could bring unique additions to our project.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

After the first briefing session, they absorbed the challenge and we collaborated to come up with an animation idea to achieve our goal within our timeframe and budget. Their estimation was very accurate and the whole process was seamless. The style of light streak 3D animation we were looking for was very challenging but they managed to achieve that look.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We worked together closely and they followed the storyboard accurately plus they added their creative input. Feedback process went very efficiently as they gave us accurate estimations in each step.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The client was very impressed with our work and we heard positive feedback from different routes. It's because of Covid-19, the event has been cancelled but the animation has been using in many occasions.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Like above, we worked together throughout the production and the whole process was very transparent.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was totally impressed by the look they achieved. The production process went very smoothly because of their knowledge and experience about animation production. Feedback process was very seamless and all responses were very positive - very easy to work with. Working with them was a very creative and positive experience

Are there any areas for improvement?

I cannot think of anything!

I am the Chief Executive of WeAreWaterloo Business Improvement District (BID). We are a not-for-profit organisation responsible for marketing and placemaking in London's Waterloo neighbourhood. One of our projects is to run the Lower Marsh Market, which I also oversee.

Rebranding of the Lower Marsh Market

What were your goals for this project?

The Lower Marsh Market is a lunchtime hot food market. Being run by a community organisation (WeAreWaterloo BID), we aim to create a community atmosphere and also wanted to work with a local organisation that understood the market in much the same way that we did. Yoyopop has been located on Lower Marsh for quite some time. Their design experience combined with their understanding of the neighbourhood nuances were able to combine in such a way to successfully meet the goals of the project which were to enliven the look and feel of the market by adding in a vibrant colour palette, character-ful iconography and a more fun and contemporary vibe.

How did you select this vendor?

We had previously worked on successful art and design based projects with Yoyopop and were therefore both familiar and impressed by their work.

Describe the project in detail.

The Lower Marsh Market needed a facelift in all ways of the word. The logo needed to be reimagined, there were opportunities for artwork up and down the street (Lower Marsh), and a forthcoming website had to be populated with this updated look and feel. The project yielded the creation of: Brand guidelines Logo iterarations Color Pallette A menu of characters and icons Mural-based artwork Brand patterns Tote bag designs Flag pole designs

My team at the Lower Marsh Market and WeAreWaterloo BID worked with Trevor and Michelle of Yoyopop.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Effective, there was lots of patience involved in the rounds of iterations. They definitely listened intently to all of our feedback and were able to adapt our thoughts into visions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The delivery of the final product was above and beyond what we had imagined.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Perhaps setting up a more strict timeline from the get go would be wise to make sure that both parties stay on task.
