I’m a real estate agent and team leader of a team under the brokerage of a real estate firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ylopo?

I was trying to gain market share through lead generation.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ylopo is a dynamic marketing firm that specializes in the real estate market, and they help us with paid advertising. First, they set up a subdomain on our website that is connected to their servers. Then, they offered us different stages in which we could invest every month.

They create Google and Facebook ads to drive people to the subdomain, where they’re able to search for content. Once the people get into our database, Ylopo shows them retargeted dynamic ads based on what the buyer is looking for. Additionally, they adjust the site’s content according to user behavior.

What is the team composition?

I work with an account manager and an advertising team. Ylopo also has a development team that was supposed to build my website, a service that was included in the package. However, I didn’t use that service because it didn’t fit my needs.

How did you come to work with Ylopo?

I was helping get another team off the ground under a different brokerage, and they were investing with Ylopo. I saw how successful the lead generation was for them, so when I left them, I decided to invest in this technology to build up my own brand.

How much have you invested with them?

We invest around $2,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in October 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of the leads that Ylopo has generated is great. We’ve obtained around 1,200 leads since October 2020, and we’ve closed around $40,000 worth of business. Our pipelines are full, which has helped me grow my team. 10 more leads are right now in the pipeline that should be converting within the next three months, so I’m guessing that we will get another $50,000.

My listings’ side is worth another $30,000–$40,000, so my anticipation for the full year is around $100,000 worth of business.

How did Ylopo perform from a project management standpoint?

Ylopo is growing rapidly, so follow-ups are not their strongest suit. They have a calendar to which I can subscribe, but it would be good if they checked in on me more often instead of me chasing them down.

I've noticed the pressure of a startup that is blowing up, which has made them change some roles within the company. I know that they’re in their growing pains, but not in a bad way. I just have to be more active in project management than with other companies.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of Ylopo’s system is impressive. Their technology is currently, by far, the best in business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In addition to their project management, it would be good if Ylopo improved their accessibility. I would like to have an East Coast team helping us with these services because, as they’re currently on the West Coast, I’m halfway through my day when I hear back from them. Having an East Coast team would be definitely an improvement.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you have a good follow-up system for the leads so that you can convert them.
