I’m the CEO and founder of CommuniTee Golf.

What challenge were you trying to address with Xperity?

We hired Xperity to develop an iOS mobile app for us. We had an existing iOS app that wasn’t built very well, so we were looking for another development firm that could build it at a higher quality. We wanted to implement our latest designs and manage the app on our own after the contract.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Xperity built a new app from scratch. We initially provided Xperity with the designs and documentation. The whole app is designed in Swift for iOS.

We've had two weeks of design and feature reviews, during which we broke things up between phases and different features that would play into the project's development lifecycle. We've made a total list of features. This project has basically forced us to ensure we have all the necessary designs to support the build.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with a project manager, a senior engineer, and a junior engineer.

How did you come to work with Xperity?

Xperity found us at a live event where they shared what they do.

How much have you invested with them?

By the time our engagement is complete, we'll have spent around $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Xperity has helped us save time. We had been working with another firm for over a year, and Xperity has made way more progress in three months than in over a year with the other firm. The quality of their work has met and exceeded our expectations.

How did Xperity perform from a project management standpoint?

Xperity has met deadlines and stayed on budget. We use Slack, GitHub, and Google Sheets to manage the project and track features.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been impressed with their attention to detail. The team sees things and supports recommendations based on their experience. Compared to other developers we’ve worked with, Xperity is very detail-oriented.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on. They follow through on everything we expect from them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have your designs ready and have very detailed user flows complete. You should also have a detailed list of every feature for the product. These core elements will allow Xperity to get up and running extremely quickly.

Xperity was hired to finish development in 2 months for an On-Prem current and to finish development of a Demo and MVP for our company and failed to complete any of the tasks.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

NONE of the fully paid projects were finished leaving is with a unstable Demo and without an MVP AND the on prem that we paid over 75k for still isn't finished.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They promised a lot of things, mainly a fixed price in a 2 month timeline which should have been 12/2025 and I'm April they tried to bill us for 64k more even though they hadn't finished what we paid over 100k for. When we refused to pay more until the original commitments were finished, they stopped everything and refused to provide the full source code and notes associated with the work they had completed.

Team based billing was repeatedly refused and the continued to bill us in that manner with no cap or timelines to follow.

Promises not met, billing was unethical and not clear!

They had deceptive business practices.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Xperity could have done differently?

Yes they could be honest, honor the emails and quotes that they sent and complete the work they have been paid for.

The team based billing and lack of accountability with them is out of control.

The service provider responded on June 10, 2026.

Xperity disagrees with this review and its characterization of the engagement.

The engagement was governed by written agreements between the parties. Those agreements established a staff-augmentation / team-capacity model under which Xperity provided dedicated resources at agreed monthly rates, with work performed under the client's direction and prioritization. It was not a fixed-price or fixed-deliverable project.

Throughout the engagement, Xperity supported the client across software stabilization, development, demo support, security remediation, environment work, and planning for a first-time on-premises deployment for the client's customer. The engagement also required Xperity to deal with inherited code, evolving requirements, changing priorities, and third-party account/environment dependencies.

Xperity also disputes the statement that it refused to provide source code. The parties’ agreement contains specific provisions regarding payment and ownership/transfer of work product.

Ultimately, due to a substantial arrearage in unpaid invoices, Xperity terminated its engagement with the client in accordance with the termination provisions of the agreement.

Xperity stands by the professionalism and efforts of its team.

The project began with two specific goals;

Build out an automated QA regression testing platform.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Key deliverables for the automated QA testing were a inhouse built QA platform with several dozen initial test cases automated for system regression testing. It was expected that these test cases could be run within minutes to perform a full regression test of our API platform and purpose build user interface.

Ongoing feature development deliverables are project specific and determined at the time of assignment to the team. However, these usually involve a problem statement followed by feature requirements written by our product team.

Xperity has always been extremely responsive to any additional needs and challenges that may arise. They work diligently and swiftly for any conflict resolution or disagreement between the teams. Our teams meet in a Daily Scrum to analyze the previous days work, and has code-reviews when ready.

This was my first venture into the tech space and building software. I had a very clear RFP, but really had very little background in how to vet the firm at the beginning or during the process. I had to have implicit trust with a group that I didn't know, in a space that I didn't know. I was ripe to be taken advantage. And frankly was only one step away from that because of my lack of knowledge.
Xperity was the perfect partner solely because they are highly competent, but more importantly they have the character and integrity to not only build Ignite, but guide me through the process. The difficulty is not finding a firm with the competency to do the work, but a group you can trust.

The sprint was very quick paced.
