What challenge were you trying to address with Worley Accounting?

We needed help structuring our assets to have the best tax strategy as a small business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Worley Accounting provides tax preparation and financial planning services; they advise us on how to structure our income and assets to have the best tax strategy. They also help with bookkeeping and payroll. Most calculations are done in Excel; Worley Accounting also uses their own software. 

They’ve also recommended apps I can use to track my business expenses, including one that tracks mileage.

What is the team composition?

I only work with Robert (Founder).

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $600 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in March 2022.

How did you come to work with Worley Accounting?

Robert was referred to me by a friend. He specializes in working with small businesses.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t track any specific metrics associated with Worley Accounting’s work, but it has freed up a lot of my time. Their tax strategy has helped me determine the best ways to save and maximize opportunities as a self-employed individual.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

Robert works with us one-on-one. He is very good at communication and always files taxes on time; he also lets me know about other important dates. We communicate via text, phone calls, and meetings. He’s extremely responsive and great at managing each project. 

He shares everything with me in a password-protected folder so I can see his work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really value Robert’s ability to educate and explain complicated details. He takes the time to make me feel like more than just a transactional client.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m very satisfied with their work. I can’t think of any changes I’d recommend.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d advise you to bring your questions and ideas and remember that there aren’t any dumb questions; be excited to talk to someone who can make sense of confusing topics. Additionally, be open to their coaching and follow their directions.
