The original principals, Stanley Wohl, P.E., L.S. and William E. O’Mara, P.E., L.S. formed the partnership in 1959 and have been associated in various facets of the profession for over 50 years. The firm of Wohl & O’Mara is successor to the firm of Lutkenhouse, Civil Engineers and City Surveyors, which was founded in the early 1920’s.
Wohl & O'Mara has surveyed land for over 100,000 dwelling units on Staten Island and larger tracts throughout the City of New York.
The firm has also designed, surveyed and supervised the construction of many miles of roads, storm and sanitary sewers in the City of New York (all approved by the New York City agencies under which they have jurisdiction). The firm has prepared over 3500 drainage studies and sewer plans for review and approval by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP). It has also designed sewage treatment plants, storm water management systems, detention ponds, storm and sanitary pumping stations and many miles of force mains. The firm continues
