Please describe your company and your position there.

Chaos Hats (Parent company Do-Gree Fashions Ltd) is a leading headwear brand and supplier to multiple retailers and shops around the world. As Vice President at the company, I help oversea the day to day operations as well as global product supply chain.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Winter Summer Media?

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and global economic effects, the ability to meet face to face with our customers has become increasingly difficult. Given that all major national and international trade shows have been cancelled, we had to find another way to demonstrate and introduce our new Fall/Winter 2021 collection.

After some on-line research of local talent, we selected Winter Summer Media to help complete this goal.

What were your goals for this project?

To develop and provide our customer base with an easy to watch, inviting, expressive and informative video presentation of our collection that would further enhance the print media materials. Time was also of the essence, since we had little more than 6 weeks to complete.

How did you select Winter Summer Media?

Searches were made via Google to find local media agencies in the Montreal region, since being able to work face to face was critical to the project. A small batch of 4 companies were considered for the project. In the end it came down to; communication, project understanding, personality and budget.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The overall goal of the video was pretty straight forward; to bring our printed media catalog to life. We stared by hiring the same models to bring consistency to the viewers and a simple but exciting script to help capture their attention- which was also translated into French for regional buyers needs and demands.

Over the span of 2 days, we were able to video a total of 367 items, while at the same time generating some social media content and extra footage.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

The flow and process was simple and to the point. All parties involved laid out their demands to ensure the project ran smoothly and efficiently. Following a detailed guideline all targets were met on time and completely with no delays.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The sheer fact that we were able to get the project conceptualized, executed and adopted within the 6 week production window was a great success. This is definitely a tool that we will continue to produce for all future collections and releases.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Simple, straight forward and to the point. Open lines of communication, quick feedback and accurate execution of tasks made the workflow simple and easy.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Having the ability to understand the needs of the project, put together budgets, and adapt to any changes and adjustments made it VERY easy to work with the team at Winter Summer Media.

Are there any areas for improvement?

At this point in time, I don’t know where to improve except in giving more time to edit and create. This was more a factor relating to the timeline given to the project versus the execution of it.

I am the owner dentist of a private dental practice located in Sechelt, BC and service patients all around the Sunshine Coast, BC, Canada. Our team consists of 3 doctors and 8 support staff. We provide comprehensive general dental services.

For what projects/services did your company hire Winter Summer Media?

Wes and his team filmed a variety of different video productions for my practice. This included a video tours of the office which showcased not only our office and equipment, but our dynamic team as well.

The production resulted in some great promotional content that we were able to use for our website, advertisements and social media platforms as well as for the use of recruitment purposes for new employees.

What were your goals for this project?

We intended to use the videos for our website, social platforms and for recruitment purposes. We wanted to showcase the practice in a way where we could communicate all the things that set us apart-- the modern feel, high tech equipment and friendly team.

How did you select Winter Summer Media?

We chose to work with Winter Summer Media based on a great referral.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Wes and his team came up for a day (roughly 8 hours) of filming. We had some ideas about what we wanted to film and discussed them with the production crew before and during the shoot.

Together we came up with 4 different videos and Wes' team helped direct all of it as we filmed. We were able to film throughout the day without closing the practice too which was great we just worked around the patients in the office. It was quick, efficient and well executed.

After some back and forth during the editing process, we had the finished products within about a week.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We all worked collaboratively on ideas both before and during the shoot. We were presented some drafts and made some slight edits before getting our final production about a week later.

The entire process was very easy and communication was excellent with their team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our office tour video has been showcased on our website and social platforms and has generated countless, likes, shares and comments.

We used this content exclusively for our online advertising and it has really helped give prospective patients a great insight into our practice and directly generated leads resulting in new patients.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication between Wes and his team has always been very easy. They are very responsive by email or phone. We were in communication before and after the shoot and have even been available to make edits months later when videos needed specific edits for different uses.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What I found most impressive about Winter Summer Media was their versatility. I had seen a lot of their work but never anything within the dental industry so I was a little unsure if they would be able to really showcase the unique features of the practice without that experience.

Wes and the team had some really great ideas which we let them run with and I feel took the production to a whole new level. In my opinion, our video's were actually much better than the typical dental practice videos I had seen previously that tended to be a bit bland.

You could really see their creativity in their work and it obviously transcends any project.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Honestly no. I was really happy with them and I will absolutely use them again.
