We had a web portal developed 15 years ago for our clients to manage their signs and tags on the shelf edge. The portal was complex and had many features. It was developed by a legacy team that was no longer around, so we were looking to revamp it from scratch and give it a more modern look.

Wedsec helped us rebuild and redesign our web portal from scratch. They initially did a deep dive to understand how they could change the portal to make it more modern and seamless. They had to understand how the portal worked to ensure they gave us something that looked good on paper and was functional. After that, they gave us an idea of how we could design it in a streamlined, efficient, and modular way. They took some time to analyze it on their side, give us sketches, and slowly create mock-ups and wireframes. They also helped connect the portal to our backend and make it work.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since working with Websec, we’ve experienced significant improvements in our cybersecurity posture. Not only have we seen a noticeable reduction in potential security incidents, but our team now operates with a heightened sense of awareness regarding cybersecurity. Websec’s solutions have been instrumental in fortifying our SaaS platform, giving us greater peace of mind knowing that our data and client information are well-protected.

The project management was seamless from start to finish. Websec delivered all items on time, and there were no major delays in implementation. Throughout the project, they maintained open lines of communication, keeping us informed about each step of the process and addressing any concerns we had along the way. Whenever we had urgent questions or needed adjustments, Websec’s team responded quickly and effectively, which helped us stay on track without any major disruptions.

As for areas of improvement, while the overall experience was exceptional, we believe there could be room for even more proactive engagement. For example, providing us with regular cybersecurity health check-ups or additional training sessions for our team could further enhance our security awareness and ensure we stay ahead of emerging threats. However, this is a minor suggestion, as the quality of their service has far exceeded our expectations.

The measurable outcomes have been highly positive. For one, we've experienced a significant reduction in security-related incidents—what used to be routine alerts and threats now rarely occur. Their active monitoring solution has also helped us quickly identify and address potential issues before they became serious problems. In terms of compliance, Websec ensured we met all the required standards, helping us avoid any potential legal or financial repercussions. Our customers have also expressed confidence in our platform, knowing that we're taking their data privacy seriously.

Regarding project management, Websec was outstanding. They met every deadline and consistently kept us in the loop with clear and concise communication. The team was always responsive to our needs, addressing questions and concerns almost immediately. I particularly appreciated how they would regularly check in with us throughout the process to make sure we were on the same page. Are there any areas for improvement or something WebSec could have done differently?

As for areas of improvement, while the project itself was handled very well, I believe their post-implementation support could be slightly more structured. After the initial solutions were in place, we would’ve liked a bit more guidance on how to handle routine security audits and long-term maintenance. That being said, Websec’s team was always available for consultations when needed, so this is more of a suggestion than a critical gap. Overall, their performance has been exceptional, and we would definitely work with them again.
